Killing is a sin.
how much have we heard those words?
not to mention, aren’t those hypocrite religious guys kill in the name of their god?
so is it a sin, or a mission given to us by god?
but then again, don’t we kill in wars?
those who kill in wars are referred to as heroes.
are they sinners? or are they our saviors?
now a days, if someone is killed, they are either jailed for their life or they are sentenced to the electric chair or perhaps the lethal injection. does the one who flips the trigger a sinner? is the one who gave the order a sinner? or maybe the one who judged the one his punishment?
if someone were to kill another for defense purposes, why aren’t they punished? they, in the end, took a soul....correct?
to begin with, don’t animals have souls?
not to mention, isn’t it the same for plants?
and if we’re going that way, the same goes to bacteria and viruses.
yet, don’t we kill them all for our own survival?
i am not trying to defend anyone....its more like i am trying to justify my actions.
the answer i came after thinking my best, is that a ‘sin’ is addicting.
just like how the law is broken all the time, isn’t the barrier called ‘sin’ excites people?
in the end, did we create these barriers~these walls we call limits in order to feel pleasure from breaking them?
in conclusion, i do not believe in something called god.
i do not believe in a higher being.
and i do not believe in science.
something exists because it simply does.
i will not seek answers, nor will i question anything.
if i am going to ‘sin’, i will do it while showing respect to the soul i am extinguishing.
ahh, although i do not believe in god or a higher being, i do believe something like a ‘soul’ exists.
now then, i do not plan on changing a subject here, but have you heard of king Midas?
he is perhaps one of the most known Kings in Greek history. The Phrygian city Midaeum was named after him, and not to mention, he founded Ancyra.
That Midas, died a very unusual death.
no no, the cause of the death was nothing unusual at all actually.
the cause is starvation.
what is interesting is, why he starved.
i mean, how come a king that famous suddenly starve to death?
not to mention, he died in his castle.
and time is........up!
he actually died because everything he touched turned to gold.
and by everything, i mean everything.
all the food he ever touched turned to gold.
the glass of water and the water inside it turned to gold.
as for why i’m mentioning him......is that i am the same.
“WOAH?! NOAH! DON’T YOU DARE TOUCH THE ANYTHING! INCLUDING THE FLOORS AND THE GROUND!!!”
“Ahh....i already know.”
“we’re at the 20th floor, i don’t want this building to be turned into ash and us falling down to our death. alright?”
“Argh......i already told you that i know....”
phew, that totally killed my train of thoughts.
where was i.....?
ahh, yes.
everything i touch turns to ash.
that is....with the exception of leather.
now then, i really don’t know why i cant turn leather to ash, but i simply cant.
so i am currently wearing leather on everything.
but because i hate the color black.....i got it all painted in white.
so, i am currently wearing white.
white leather.....
ohh, i also cant turn wood and wires to ash for some reason as well.
so, i cant turn wood, wires and leather to ash.
as for why.....i really don’t know.
ahh, you don’t know what Shiho looks like, right?
she is a very particular woman.
this is coming from a human enthusiast, so you could atleast believe my words, right?
anyhow, all she wears is a black dress.
the polar opposite of what i’m wearing.
well, that isn’t accurate because what i’m wearing is more similar to a suit than a dress.....i’m sorry for not being able to crossdress.
she also wears make up!
although, her makeup is also black.
the only thing that isn’t dark is her hair.
its crimson red.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
her attire is something that will attract unwanted attention because of its poor coordination.
although...anyone dared to comment on it will never see the light ever again.
i really hope those souls have moved on.
ahh, this is bad, i’m losing focus on the real world and getting blinded by my thoughts.
this is why i shouldn’t be in this game.......i lose focus pretty easily.
“We’re here.”
i move my eyes toward the place Shiho is pointing.
Woah!
what the hell?
why is a heavy steel door doing here.....?
isn’t this supposed to be one of the few skyscrapers in the academy?
then why does it have such a heavy looking door in its top floor....?
ahh, before you get any wrong ideas.
this is indeed a skyscraper in the academy, the academy rented a space to a cooperation for support, and they fund the academy from the food we get to the chalk used in classes.
although....its been left abandoned after the incident that got us all here two and half years ago.
Shiho begins approaching the door, and pushes it inward.
“Damn...this thing wont even budge. Hey, why don’t you try?”
she turned toward me and said that.
“Ehh....i can’t really push it you know? i mean, even your superhuman strength couldn’t....”
“I don’t mean that you idiot! turn the thing to smithereens!”
“Ahh...totally forgot about that.”
i approached the huge steel door and took off my gloves.
i rest my palms on the door.
its....its cold.
or atleast thats what its supposed to feel, but it disappeared before it could transmit its temperature.
“Eww.......there’s ash all over my feet...you know i cant clean it right....? since even water turns to ash....”
i complained as i took both of my feet out of the ash.
the ashes are reaching up to my ankle....its really disgusting.
i put back my gloves while Shiho walks past me, paying no heed to the ash.
“Mida, lets go.”
we started walking in the room.
ahh....its an office.
there are two couches and in the middle of them is a table.
not to mention, there’s a table on the far side of the office right besides the window.
just behind the table, there’s a huge chair.
its one of those that you see in a CEO’s office in TV dramas.
its turned to face the window, so i’m not sure if there is someone sitting on it. but i doubt anyone is......but to my
surprise, we started hearing someone’s clapping.
and its coming from the chair’s direction.
thats when an unfamiliar voice was heard in the mix of clapping.
“Wow! Thee have done a very good job on the door!”
in a sarcastic tone nonetheless.
i wasn’t exactly shocked y’know....i really wasn’t!
“I’ve finally found you........Rabbit.”
Shiho’s voice was trembling in anger when she said that.
“Thee shouldn’-----”
just before it could finish its sentence, Shiho, with her superhuman strength, punched right through the chair.
“Oi?! isn’t this supposed to be the final boss scene?! why the hell are you punching through the last boss before he even finishes his evil introduction?!?!?!?!”
damn!
i retorted subconsciously
“Tch! in the end, its a doll?!”
she quickly lifted her arm, which torn the chair even more, and got the figure that she punched through hanging in the air.
it indeed looked like a doll, like those found in the coliseum.
“Ha-ha-ha-ha”
it laughed mechanically.
but soon enough, it regained its human speech pattern.
“Thee.....let us see if thee is able to survive this?”
after the doll said that unemotionally, Shiho quickly shouted “Run through the window!” and my body moved on its own and jumped through it.
wait.....isn’t this usually the scene the doll is exploding?
if that was the case....then why didn’t she throw the doll through the window instead?
just as i had these silly thoughts, the whole building exploded and pushed both me and Shiho toward the building beside the one we just jumped from.
