For today we have some game mechanics and (horrible) bear puns!

George finished drinking blood off of the corpses of the guards before leaving the village. While he knew he isn't going to be a hero, he wasn't up to senseless massacre. If there were easier ways to deal with hunger, he will choose them over murder. He didn't gain any experience points from that, but as he traveled he thought: what did he want to do with himself? How will he become the strongest?

Well, that comes down to allies, stats and equipment on his part.

He wasn't restricted to any area as this isn't a game anymore, so he could go aquire many items to support him on his way to achieving his goal of becoming the strongest.

The stat point mechanic of the game was different then the formula George was used to see before the release of this game, but not so unique that the developers deserved too much praise for it. Infact, some other games might have used a very similar system to this one, but George didn't know any.

The amount of stat points gained per level changes between races.

For example, regular humans get 5 points.

The hero sent to stop you if you are playing a villain, or aid you if you are playing as a good guy, or generally play as him, gets 20 points.

This is a good time to mention that the hero has the easiest camping and is the end game boss for (most) "villain" campings.

A regular vampire gets 7 per level.

Noble vampires get 10.

And George Bloodborn, as a royal vampire, gets 15 stat points.

If it ever comes down to it, if George becomes incredibly desperate, so in need of allies he is willing to use such vile tactics...

He knows the personality and backstory of every relevant and powerful character in the game.

He could blackmail people. But that would end extremely poorly, as he would most likely ask for help because who ever he asks is stronger than him, thus able to deal with whatever problem George might face.

Speaking of levels...

George was walking through the forest when suddenly a blue screen filled his sight:

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

George Bloodborn has encountered a bear!

Bear [level 5][normal]

George looked at his stats.

─ Name: George Bloodborn

─Age: 34 years old

─ Race: Vampire, royal

─ Gender: male

─ Class: not selected

─ Level 1

─ HP: 397/400

─MP: 0/0

─ skills: none unlocked

The bear roared at George.

George thought about what advantages he has. His teeth were incredibly sharp and hard, even when he didn't increase his endurance and attack, as royal vampires are born with incredibly good teeth.

And he was going to use them.

The bear lounged at George almost faster then he could react.

George leaped aside, and bearely (you see what I did there?) Managed to avoid getting hit by it.

The bear hit a tree. The tree cracked and fell over. The bear roared in pain, as hitting a tree with your head isn't a very fun or healthy thing to do. Especially with enough power to make the tree fall over (That's why you always wear your helmets kids!).

George didn't waste time waiting for the bear to recover from his daze. As fast as he could possibly move, George quickly reached the bear and bit his neck.

The blood tasted better then the guards probably, but that would be like comparing eating sand to eating dirt.

Both probably don't taste well and shouldn't be edible. (George wouldn't know, as he never ate sand or dirt, very surprising I know).

Why's that you ask? That would be because, the more "pure of heart" the human\demi human\monster\animal you feed on, or the more powerful the creature you feed on is, the tastier the blood becomes.

Going by that logic, these guards were either incredibly weak, or that they did some very bad things during their lives.

Another option is that because George Bloodborn is a royal vampire, he might have been used to very high quality blood, and that would be why all of the blood he drank tasted horrible.

But now they are dead so all this doesn't really matter anymore, does it?

George finished off the bear, and he wanted to spit out the blood so badly, but he couldn't. He would have to just keep on "bearing" with it for now (third bear pun! I'm on fire today).

3 very familiar screens popped up.

Encounter ended.
