Chapter 4: Unveiling the Truth
Natasha stared at the reddened handprint left by Jones Yu in the restroom, reflecting on her recent conversation with her. A sudden thought crossed her mind about Jones Yu's smiling mask. Curious, she headed to the evidence room to examine it closely. On the inside of the mask, she noticed shallow raised letters that spelled "Jones Jessica." Natasha suspected this to be the original name of Jones Yu's sister, Jones Lin. Following this lead, she traced it to a small farmhouse in the village of Yordle.
At the farmhouse's entrance, Natasha lightly knocked on the door. It swung open, revealing none other than Jones Yu's sister, Jones Lin. Curious about Natasha's purpose, Jones Lin asked what she needed. With a friendly smile, Natasha explained that she had some questions and asked if she could come in to discuss matters further. Jones Lin didn't hesitate, kindly inviting Natasha inside.
Natasha hadn't anticipated that Jones Yu's sister would be so trusting as to invite a stranger into her home. Seated in the living room, Jones Lin appeared like an angelic presence – physically identical to Jones Yu, yet with a vastly different personality. Inadvertently, Natasha mentioned Jones Lin's original name, which caused Jones Lin to react with serious alertness.
Jones Lin (seriously): How do you know my real name? Only my sister and I know that name.
Natasha candidly shared with Jones Lin all she knew about Jones Yu. As Jones Lin heard of her sister's actions, guilt overcame her, and tears welled up as she realized her role in her sister's plight.
Jones Lin (tearfully): I never thought it would come to this, it's all my fault. Why did I deceive her, why didn't I honestly tell her the truth?
Natasha attempted to console the emotionally distressed Jones Lin, helping her understand that she too was a victim, manipulated by the deceitful couple.
Natasha: You're a victim too, they tricked you into believing they would provide a better life for you and your sister. You tried to protect her, you love her, you just needed to protect yourself too.
As Jones Lin's emotions steadied, she continued to explain. She had altered the adoption documents for both sisters, but accidentally spilled ink, staining the modified paperwork. Rushing to hide the evidence before the orphanage director arrived, she replaced the original documents and rejoined Jones Yu in their dorm. When Jones Yu asked if everything was ready, she lied and said it was.

Jones Lin (choking up): On the day we left, I saw the expression on my sister's face, that look of why did you deceive me. I felt so ashamed of myself, I couldn't bring myself to watch her leave. I kept telling myself she would have a better life.
Jones Lin's emotions crumbled once again as she drowned in self-reproach and regret.
Determined to prevent Jones Lin from any extreme actions, Natasha decided to sleep in the same room as her for surveillance. Thankfully, the next morning, Jones Lin didn't exhibit any extreme behavior. Natasha accompanied Jones Lin back to Koalaville and, together, they visited the highly secure Sita Maximum Security Prison to see Jones Yu.
Passing through multiple checkpoints, Jones Lin finally came face to face with her sister, Jones Yu. Jones Yu observed her sister in silence, and Jones Lin took a seat beside her. The meeting captivated the attention of high-ranking officers, who were astonished by the sisters' striking resemblance. After some friendly small talk, Jones Yu straightforwardly questioned her sister about why she had deceived her.
Jones Lin admitted, "I didn't have time to alter your documents."
Jones Yu listened quietly to her sister's explanation but suddenly interrupted, asking, "What happened to the girl who came to the new home with us?"
Jones Lin's expression instantly turned fearful, and she hesitated to respond. Jones Yu insisted that Lin come closer and whispered something in her ear. Jones Lin's trembling began, her face turned pale, and her expression became uncontrollable. In the adjoining room, Natasha and others couldn't hear what Jones Yu said to Lin, but they could clearly see the extreme fear in Jones Lin's eyes.
After Jones Yu stopped laughing, her expression turned eerie as she crouched down, seemingly saying something to Jones Lin. Jones Lin's eyes lost control, and she reached out to strangle Jones Yu. Without resistance, Jones Yu allowed her sister to grip her neck.
Just as Jones Yu was on the verge of being choked to death, Natasha swiftly administered a sedative to Jones Lin, gradually calming her down. She was then led away by officers into a detention room. Natasha interrogated Jones Yu about what she had said to her sister. Jones Yu flashed a sinister smile and said, "Why don't you guess?"
Natasha pressed Jones Lin for details on what her sister had said, but Jones Lin's hollow gaze remained fixed downward. Natasha continued to question her, until eventually, Jones Lin's tears couldn't be held back any longer. Blaming herself for the situation, she wept and pleaded with Natasha to leave her alone for a moment. Sympathetic, Natasha honored Jones Lin's request and left her to her solitude.
Back in her office, Natasha accessed her authorization to view Jones Lin's personal records, finding no other anomalies. She resolved to interview individuals connected to Jones Lin to gain a better understanding of the situation.
