Alice stood among the broken pile of bodies. each body adorned with a frilly dress now covered in blood.
she raised her staff to the monster that stood in front of her. A large beast made of ever-present darkness. Her friends. Her allies. Her fellow magical girls had given her this one chance to succeed.
"Magical BLASSSSTTT!!!!" she screamed as her staff launched a powerful beam of pink energy destroying the monster in a single attack.
Once the creature finally died, she sank to her knees on the hard factory floor. She did it.
"I did it." she said, but the victory felt hollow. Undeserved.
she wept until she noticed a change. The hard mechanical floor had been replaced and it felt different. It felt like carpet?
She opened her eyes to see that her environment had changed. She now stood in a grand ballroom where a large collection of strangely dressed men and women of various ages and ethnicities stood. Some like her looked like they just came from some sort of battle or losses something important.
Some wore strange advanced armor. One was just dressed in a suit carrying a cane of bone. and all of them could see the throne in the middle that they all encircled. It was a girly throne. Made of some Strange pink metal, not painted but somehow natural.
"Ah, welcome, heroes!" said the pretty woman dressed in a revealing gown that left little to the imagination. She was pretty in a way that felt creepy to Alice. Unnatural.

Isaac laughed as the hero fell. His sword clanged to the ground as Isaac kicked his head into the ground.
"This is what you get for defying me. I am not merciful." Isaac said as he stabbed his cane right through the man's spine.
The bastard had gotten in his way, and Isaac did not let anyone get in his way anymore. He had learned his lesson when he'd come to this world. take and take even more, those who didn't take would be taken from.
But as he stabbed the powerful hero of the grimal kingdom who Isaac had spent years trying to topple for its crime of making necromancy illegal.
He noticed the hero was gone. He was in a new place. A ballroom with other strange people and sitting in a throne directly in the middle of the circle of people sat what Isaac knew to be a goddess.
Stolen novel; please report.
He had meant gods before and even killed one. But this goddess was different from them. Looking at her with his soul sight, she made those gods look fake. She made him feel fake.
he shivered at the feeling. It felt foreboding. It felt like knowledge he wasn't meant to possess.
"Ah, welcome, heroes!"

Yelmir, goddess of reality of the multiverse itself could barely suppress a chuckle at some of the heroes' arrogant glances. Some even gave her lecherous gazes, probably expecting her to roll over and join their ever growing harem.
Mortals, they always felt they were the ones in charge.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why you're here. I have unfortunate news for you all."
she said and eyed them as she could almost taste the upcoming dread.
"You all don't exist. You're just characters in a story." She said, and much to no surprise at all, she saw the disbelief. The man in the suit and cane simply chuckled.
"ahhaha, games it is, goddess. I think I'll slay you."
she made him cease to exist. not die. But he just never existed in the first place. Then she brought him back. His face was pale, and tears began to streak his arrogant face.
"I'm back, oh gods, I'm finally back. imrealimrealimrealimreal I'm real again."
he kept muttering to himself, and she knew he would do that for the next hour.
she snapped her fingers, and the collection of books, movies, tvs, and other forms of entertainment were presented to the 32 heroes present.
She skipped to the point that they had finished their stories.
the girl in the frilly dress that wore some ungodly combination of a school uniform and a princess costume came up to her. She was squirming, her face pale, and In shock.
"This is lying, right? you're lying, right? Please, you have to be lying!?" The girl cried, smiling and laughing. Hoping, praying that the goddess would reveal this all to be some joke.
"No, I'm not. Like I said, none of you are real. Or, more specifically, none of you are real yet."
she paused and waited for the heroes to process her words before she continued.
"I am the goddess of reality. Of the multiverse. Contrary to what some of you believe. It is not infinite. However, I am a fair goddess. I have summoned you all to fight, every hundred years I add a new reality.
You will be attending the bloodright. Out of the 32 of you. Only one of you will be allowed to exist. The rest will live on as fiction and suffer the fate the necromancer there had suffered. Only it will be a hell that never ends."
with that, she snapped her fingers. Screens appeared in the sky, showing a bracket.
"The rules are simple. You will fight one on one fights to the death in an elimination style tournament. "
"The winner will, as stated, be allowed to exist. Of course, that won't be their only prize. The winner will be allowed to make a single change to their world's future. Bringing people back, World peace, whatever it is you desire I will make it destined."
"Once you have collected yourself, please enter the doors at the far end of the ballroom. For those of you who will be specating this round, drinks, food, and comfort of all kinds be it lecherous or crude will be offered to you while you wait for your turn. enjoy the tournament."
With that, the heroes passed through the doors into the ancient coliseum. It's sky red, and on all sides, it was encircled by a blood red sea.
in the sky in words spelled out by bones and sparkling energy was the words.
"Round 1: Isaac Mark vs. Alice Rhyme. "
