Chapter - 5

Chapter - 5

Raegan awoke the next morning getting ready his usual routine he has been doing for the past Five years, he was a lot more mature than kids his own age which gave him an advantage over them. His father had noticed this and decided to train Raegan a lot earlier than his brother Raegar this was one of the reasons he was more powerful than his younger brother.

Every morning Raegan would sit at the top of the mountain range and meditate analyse everything he has learnt, ways to improve them and then work on a way to defeat his new techniques so that once his brother learned them he had a way to counter.

He wasn’t as gifted as his brother when it came learning techniques quickly, which is why he has to always find a way to counter his own techniques and the techniques of the Clan that he learns from his own father.

Raegan would then proceed to circulate his qi throughout his body checking his blood cells for any changes, to see if they have strengthened, he would then proceed to devour the qi in the air towards his body in other words to his blood cells to devour and strengthen and then follow this process throughout his whole body.

He enjoyed the feeling of getting stronger by the day, he couldn’t wait to adventure into the outside world with his brother he didn’t want to stay locked up in this mountain range no matter how beautiful it was. Deep inside this red forest the stench of blood was strong and he knew of the struggles between the magical beasts.

“Raehor how much have you taught to those kids exactly?” Daemon asked his son he was curious about the current battle prowess of these grandsons of his.

“They have pretty much mastered techniques from rank 1 to 3, Raegar is the faster learner so he has learned up to Rank 5 skills but he has no idea how to use them in battle unless he sees someone do it which is completely useless. Raegan on the other hand likes to learn things at slow pace, analyse them then proceed to coming up ways to improve them and counter them against his brother like I wouldn’t notice. That foolish son of mine” Raehor laughed to himself.

“Mn it would seem that Raegan is developing well building his foundations solid” Daemon stated proudly.

Raegan smiled as his opened his eyes which were crimson red in it’s usual form without the dragon eyes, he had broken through to Peak Disciple realm one more step and he would enter the Master realm. He was quite pleased with his progress in these seven years he has been in this world.

It wasn’t as boring and restricting as his last world, he had family here; his mother although at times he doubted if she was crazy or just over protective still it was nice to feel motherly love. He had a twin younger brother whom he swore in his heart to protect until his last breath and a weird father who was abused by his wife but he was a strict teacher which taught him the value of strength and honour.

He learned from early age that in this world strength was everything, he also remembered that old man he met when he first died mention this. He learned of the cruelty from his mother, she told him of the powerful clans in the mainland and how they operated and schemed behind people’s back and strike at unpredictable times to take those whom you hold dear from you or rip them to shreds right in front of you while you watched.

He was once told of a clan that was once respected and feared, they had glory and wealth. They were just and fair to the commoners even if they stood at the peak of the nobles society, however those nobles despised this clan.

They hated the fact that this clan was more wealthy and more powerful than them on top of being loved by the people like they were the imperial family, so they decided to act against them in secret but eventually it became a full blown attack on them at night while they slept. They were surrounded on all sides in their mansion as assassins and masters alike stormed in and killed the children and women of the clans men leaving the main family alive and captured them.

You would think the cruel part was that they were attacked in middle of night, not even sparing children and the women who were defenseless and powerless to protect themselves but the most cruel thing they did was capture the main family branch alive. That clan head watched as his sons, nephews, nieces, daughters, and grandchildren were killed right in front of his eyes. They then proceeded to kill him leaving no trace that would lead back to them as if it never happened at all.

In the morning when people found out they suspected it was a rival kingdom’s assassination and those powerful nobles fuelled the rumour the commoners came up with which led to a direct war with the neighbouring kingdom of Sazrat. This was raged on for 10 years before a truce was called, in the process thousands of soldiers loyal to their country died. For what? The greed and envy of nobles? This was the harsh facts Raegan needed to be accustomed to.

Raegan upon hearing this story from his mother was shocked at first then he slowly adjusted to it, he asked for the name of this Clan that was once glorious. But his mother reminded him that the point wasn’t to remember this fallen Clan but for the nature of humans in the mainland’s who are ambitious, their envy, jealousy, hatred, lust, all clouds their mind and pollutes them as if it was an incurable disease. That was the lesson to be learned from this story.

Raegan proceeded to walk towards Redding library; this was the main branch library which was incredibly large, a lot bigger than the regular Clan Library. He would find almost anything and everything here. The library was separated into 10 floors, first being first rank skills all the way to rank 10 skills which were priceless treasure in this world. But today he decided to go to history section of the 1st floor which was basic knowledge of this world.

In this continent of Rosengard, the most powerful empire was Rosengard which justifies its name it has existed for thousands of years but has declined. You can just tell it declined because other than Rosengard and Asgard all the other continents have one ruler and imperial family, below them those who broke into King Realm were given vast amount of land to make a kingdom for themselves to rule.

The harsh thing about this system was that if one continent had more than one king realm cultivator, then of course the territory would have to be given to that person as well, however king realm cultivators were very very rare in the first place so this wasn’t the issue.

The issue was that king realm cultivators could fight amongst themselves for more territory, if that king realm of that kingdom were to perish that kingdom’s territory would be swallowed up and would belong to that king who was victorious in conquering that territory. This method led to few kingdom’s being born in a single continent but they would always be under the control of that said Empire that was in control of the continent.

Unless you were Emperor realm cultivator you could forget about challenging that ruling Empire for power as they would utterly and completely crush you, some might even have few King realm cultivators as Generals. Every continent’s ruling clan would have its continent named after them.

The only exception to this rule were Rosengard and Asgard who did not have a divine beast’s bloodline running through their veins in their royal family, which caused them to be weaker than the other Five continents and ruling clans. The ruling clan of Rosengard was the Axel Clan they have been in power for couple hundreds of years, they weren’t close to being as powerful as the other 6 continents thus ending up being the weakest, followed by Asgard who’s ruling family is the Dragoon they had the bloodline of a regular dragon in this world which was a little special compared to normal people which gave them physical body that was both tough and strong giving their clan warriors absolute advantage over normal people.

Raegan stopped reading these books as he liked to educate himself in the matters of this world he was now in, but he was excited to go out here and make a name for himself and more than anything to bring his clan the glory they deserve. He still didn’t understand why his clan was hiding he wanted to ask his father many times, but he was told to be patient only after the Baptism would he know the details which was less than 2 weeks away right now.
