Human Traffickers. Those who searched for, abducted and traded high magic-potential people, selling them of to the rich who would turn them into body guards or more likely, train them into fighters and put them up in underground dogfights. These traffickers preffered targetting children, as they could be developed and trained better and as they would have longer worklife.
They probably will be sold to some rich noble who would put them in the arenas, to earn more money, gain more reputation or for pure pleasure.
"Lets start with the girl," the first bandit said with a henious smile on his face, walking to Vey, holding the orb carefully in his hands. He got to where she was tied up, a couple meteres opposite Amai, and crouched. "When we untie you, put your hands on the orb. No monkey business!"
Vey shot him arebelious look, angered. He was mad if he thought she would do as he says.
She spat at the ground next to him.
Instead of getting angered the bandit smiled and said,"I always like the fiesty ones. Geff!!"
"Yessir!" Geff, the other bandit in black answered, moving to Amai.
"Looks like she needs some motivatin!"
"I think i can find some of that," Geff replied smiling evily, grabbing Amai by his scruffy hair and lifting him, sending a hard blow to his face. Amai grunted as he fell.
"No!" Vey screamt as the scene unfolded before her, but the bandit was not done yet.
He pulled back his right leg before delivering a powerful kick to Amais stomach, making him vomit. He begun stomping on Amais head, stopping halfay on the second strike hearing Veys voice.

"Stop! Stop! I'll do it, dont hurt him any more." She said tearing up and her voice cracking, seeing Amai curled up, his nose runnig and vomit dripping from his mouth. His eyes were red and tearing from the initial hit to his nose.
"No, don't" Amai said in a weak voice, looking at Vey.
"Who allowed you to talk!" The bandit commented, stomping on his head, then following up with a kick to his groin. Vey wailed and cried feeling guilty.
'Its my fault'. This was the only thought occupying her head.
"Ill do it, stop!" she said crying. The bandit cut her hands free releasing her. She quickly put her shaking hands on the orb.
The orb begun to glow, then quickly brightened to a blinding light, which quickly changed into a red hue.
"Woah. We will at least get 10,000 gurns for her. The fire affinity is really rare these days." One of the bandits said, his hand on his hips.
Instead of the orb fading, the orb changed into a deep blue hue.
"No way!! Dual elements! We're rich!" the other bandit said in rejoice. However it did not stop there. Veys mind felt clear, it felt like she was in a warm bath. The orb quickly proceeded to a brown hue, Veys hair gently rising.
The jaws of the bandits hang slack.
"Tr..tri...tripple elements." Geff still next to Amai said in a low tone, not believing his eyes.
"Our whole lineage is gonna be sorted for life. We can even become Viscounts!" the other said.
"No no no no. We cannot sell her. She's ours. We'll set her up in te arena and earn much more than selling her, then even Earldom woudnt be out of our reach," the bandit next to Amai contradicted.
"Lets quickly test the other one, we might be [1]digging gold with a diamond shovel." the first bandit said excitedly as he walked over to Amai with the orb in hand.
"Boy. You better do as we say. We might not be able to beat her up like you since she's such an important asset," he said pointing at Vey," but we can still torture her, not hindering her potential in any way, such as pulling out her nails," he added puling out a pair of pliers.
"We would still have to train her after all," the other added chuckling.
Amai was in despair. They had no chances, none. Only one thought resided in his mind, to protect Vey. They planned to torture and train Vey into a fighting machine. He must go with her, then they might have a chance for escape. He cant let them get seperated.
Amai gave a short nod, sheathing the spite still in his eyes, he had to protect Vey.
