Chapter 1284 Paul Arrives At Olsen Residence

Juliette wore an expression of almost helpless despair on her face. "I've looked into your accomplishments in Sumanthova over the past two years, Josie. Each one is quite remarkable. But anything before that, I can't find anything. When will you tell me about your past?"

Juliette suddenly became particularly talkative, but Josie didn't believe that Juliette could be interested in her.

"Juliette, considering your status, you could have anyone as a friend whenever you wish. Why are you suddenly asking me these things?" Josie asked.

As Juliette gripped the steering wheel, her profile was stunningly beautiful. "I think you give me a special feeling," she said.

Special? Josie was pleased, but she still chose to keep her feelings hidden. "The past cannot be changed, but the future is still within our grasp."

She had always believed that past hurts should not be casually brought up for discussion, even if the person involved was her own boss, or someone secretly in love with Dexter.

Juliette didn't press further, choosing to let it go. She escorted Josie back to the office building, and they both got on the elevator together.

In the elevator, there were only a handful of people, Juliette said in a hushed tone, "Don't take it to heart. I only hope that one day, we can become genuine friends."

Josie nodded in understanding. Just then, she let out a low gasp. "Gosh!"

Juliette followed her gaze and was taken aback. It appeared that a woman in the same elevator had a patch of red between her legs. It was likely that she was on her period, but she seemed to be unaware of it.

Josie was the first to notice. Immediately, she took off her own coat and tied it around the other person's waist, whispering something.

The woman looked quite embarrassed, repeatedly expressing her gratitude. Luckily, I haven't left the elevator. Otherwise, it would have been utterly embarrassing.

Josie asked, "Do you have enough time to buy supplies? If you don't, tell me your floor and workstation number. I'll bring them to you."

The other person kept shaking her head, mentioning she had supplies in her bag, just that she hadn't expected her period to come early.

"Thank you. I'll wash and return your clothes. Please tell me how I can find you," that woman said.

Josie then wrote down her contact information for that woman.

Even after cleaning that latest Prada autumn-winter coat, its value will inevitably decrease significantly. Yet, she seems utterly unconcerned about it. What a fool... At the same time, how wonderful. Juliette squinted slightly, taking in everything before her eyes.

Josie thought that she wouldn't see Dexter again for a while.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

However, upon arriving at Olsen Residence after work that night, she was taken aback to find lights blazing brightly everywhere. His car was quietly parked in the yard, bathed in the glow of the streetlight. The servants were bustling about, a departure from their usual routine. It was unusually lively.

Josie moved forward in confusion, only to find Justin sitting on the steps at the entrance, smoking one cigarette after another. A pile of cigarette butts lay at his feet.

Josie's expression drastically altered. "What's wrong?"

Justin lifted his gaze toward her, but he remained silent.

In the next moment, Josie bolted inside. Along the way, she saw not only servants but also medical staff coming and going. Immediately, her mind was filled with numerous possibilities, causing her heart to

pound intensely.

As she sprinted toward the bustling end of the road, she was abruptly halted by a pair of steady arms. "What are you running for?"

Josie's hair was disheveled, her eyes filled with panic. She met Dexter's ink-like gaze. "Why are you here? Is Paul..."

Dexter let out a soft sigh, gently

placing his hand over her eyes. "Paul

wasn't adjusting well to the

convalescent hospital, so Mark brought him back home. The medical staff are in the process of

transferring his care," he explained.

Pop is all right! Josie's eyes warmed, her worries easing instantly. However, she quickly snapped back to reality, pushing away Dexter's hand. "He's brought here?"
