To all of you who’ve been waiting patiently for an update—thank you. I owe you an explanation for the long delay.
A little while ago, I experienced a work-related accident. Thankfully, my injuries weren’t life-threatening, but it was serious enough to completely halt my ability to write, proofread, and edit for some time. Not being able to continue writing was frustrating beyond words. The good news? I’m finally recovering! My fingers and arms are just mobile enough now to slowly get back to writing.
Unfortunately, the accident threw all my original plans into disarray. Projects like Dragonborn, Goldbrand, Ironclad, and Incarnation of Ice and Fire were derailed. On top of that, I’m working six days a week in the field, which means I don’t have much time at home with my battered old computer. Most of my writing recently before the accident, happens on my phone or—believe it or not—on my company’s PC when I can sneak in some downtime. Juggling work and writing has been challenging (and maybe a little funny at times), but I’m doing my best!
To everyone who sent messages while I was recovering—I see you and appreciate you! I’ll get around to replying soon, but for now, I’m using my limited finger mobility (which honestly feels like moving through wet, heavy clay) to focus on getting chapters out.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Finally, a quick reminder for anyone new here: this series is meant to be a slow burn. I love taking my time to flesh out the world and its characters, even down to the smallest details. It’s my way of making the story as immersive as possible, and I hope that shines through for you.
A special thank you to those who suggested I try using AI grammar checkers! While I was recovering in the hospital, I experimented with a few AI grammar apps and was amazed at how effective they were. They didn’t just catch mistakes—they explained why something was wrong or how a word was being misused. That kind of feedback has been a game changer. I’ll be using these tools to help speed up my proofreading process, ensuring that you don’t have to wait too long for updates without sacrificing quality.
That said, I’m sticking to my grammar lessons and working hard to improve my skills. My ultimate goal is to write and edit confidently on my own without relying on AI in the future. For now, though, I’m grateful to have such a helpful tool to bridge the gap. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and support. I’m excited to share what’s next with you all!
