The moonlight shone over Draconis, the realm of dragons and powerful creatures. In the capital, Drakhold, stood the royal palace of Drung Bakal and his only son, Gazei Bakal Hunter.
Gazei stared at his father, holding back documents with his human hands. It was quite nice to have human hands again. God, I missed having hands, he thought, but that wasn’t important to him at the time.
"Dad... What the fuck?" he said to his father, who grinned in response. Gazei spoke to the most powerful and dangerous creature as if he were his equal or simply didn’t care about power whatsoever.
Drung had chosen well when he married Gazei's mother—may the gods rest her soul. She was the only one, besides his son, who didn't give a crap about his power and talked back when he played too much.
The dragon king gazed down at his son. His human form was quite pleasing. At 13,000 years old, he should be the equivalent of 13 in human years but could be mistaken for 15. Not that it surprised him—humans were stupid creatures, after all. Like, crazy stupid; they are the only race to repeatedly challenge him without fail.
He respected their cunning, ruthlessness, kindness, and their crazy nature. Fighting everything and everyone, even each other during the Dragon War with him leading the charge. He was surprised the race hadn’t managed to kill themselves yet.
Back to the topic, his son was the Supreme Dragon Commander of the Dragon Knights: The Dragon Knights of Draconis are an elite order of dragons known for their prowess in battle. They are specialized fighters who engage in wars, hunts, and battles against powerful beasts and other formidable foes. Their existence is rooted in combat, and their reputation is built on their legendary strength and skill in warfare.
Gazei had commanded the knights for over 10,000 years through many battles. The Siege of Emberpeak was a significant event. Emberpeak, a fortress city on the border of Draconis, faced a massive assault from a coalition of rival kingdoms. The enemy used siege engines and powerful magic to breach the city's defenses. As the situation grew dire, Valeria the Valiant and her Dragon Knights squadron swooped in, turning the tide. With their aerial dominance, they destroyed the enemy's siege engines and supply lines. In a final push, Valeria led a charge that broke through the enemy lines, capturing their commanders and forcing a retreat. The siege ended in a decisive victory, solidifying Emberpeak's defenses.
He was so proud of his son that day. In just 5,000 years, he had tens of thousands of regiments under his command. Even more impressive, he was the only dragon ever not to be knocked out by Drung's aura—not even his mother managed this at first.
His manipulation of fire, earth, air, lightning, metal, and wood was numerous and frankly frightening. Drung had lived for a very long time, and he had never seen anyone use the element of fire with such versatility.
Over 10,000 years, his son had spent training, getting stronger, and fighting wars. Over 10,000 years, he spent hunting down warlords and beasts that put up a decent fight when cornered. And his son barely tried.
He passed all trials and challenges without complaint and effort. Under Gazei's leadership, the Dragon Knights expanded and conquered areas belonging to the now-dead elemental dragons, turning his fire tribe into an empire. But his son was too unwilling to fight him seriously or too lazy to train more. Even more so when he applied his son-created technique to his own.
Conquer, Obversion, and Armament mana were straight-up broken and too fun not to learn.
"Dad, can you explain to me why I'M GOING TO THE HUMAN REALM ALREADY?!" Gazei snapped at his father. He had not spent over that many years creating a group of fight-happy drakons and drakaina while doing it as lazily as possible for his father to screw him over.
All of this was because humans, elves, beast men, and dwarves had killed themselves again. His old world was bloody lucky to have science over magic because, damn, do wizards, necromancers, demon kings, and everything else sure love to kill everything.
So far, the human realm had been destroyed seven times by zombie hordes, eight times by wild elemental spells with no control, two times by magic nukes, and finally the latest one: opening the world to Heaven and Hell, killing off all three realms.
This was a human problem and not his. He may have been a former human and still thought like one, but the dragon race was better. Now his father was sending him to the human realm during its reincarnation process again.
This time, the human realm was going to be different. The all-powerful gods found the mortals' way of killing each other to be very entertaining, so they decided to remake the world into something very similar to a video game with NPCs to ensure the mortals didn't break the world again.
Another reason to like dragons: their gods and goddesses are pretty cool and talk to their people. Sure, there was nothing wrong with the gods of humans, elves, beast men, and dwarves. The divine pantheons are pretty chill in this universe. That doesn’t mean he wanted to go there.
Dungeons, Monsters, and Adventurers' Online, or D.M.A. for short.
"To answer your question, my son, because you’re too lazy to beat me when you had the chance," Drung said.
"I'm 13,000, dumbass! Can't you wait until I hit 20,000?” Gazei shouted at his father. Dragons age by the thousands, so 1,000 means you're 1 in dragon years. After reaching your prime age, you will start aging slower and slower but can still die. Drung is over a million years old, but that aging process only works in Dragon form; anything else, you age without the dilation.
No, you’re going to the mortal realm, and you'll like it, Drung commanded as his eyes glowed, teleporting his son and his generals with him. Those five dragonesses would poison him if he didn’t let them go with his son.

Draco Island, July 21, 2024
The morning sun shone on the artificial island. The five residents of this island woke up with excitement, with the exception of one.
Roo! Roo! Roo!
A dragon call rang throughout the island. The thirteen-year-old boy woke up angrily, dreading this day. He regretfully answered the call with his own.
“Rin and Lianna, shut up!”
“Gazei, it’s time for us to make history! Katsumi, Lei-Lei, and Natsumi are ready to start this, my love. The other captains are waiting for instructions, and the others have to wait until we bring materials for the change.” Rin and Lianna Pendragon spoke in unison, which made sense since they were Vex Dragons.
Vex Dragons are dragons with a unique body transformation. Before they turn 10, they split into two separate entities. Two bodies, one conscience operating two bodies, which can either be male and female, female and female, or male and male. Rin got the middle option. While low in numbers, Vex Dragons are flat-out broken because of how strong they become with their two-body system. One has great aptitude for magic while the other for physical.

“My love,” they said.
Groaning loudly, Gazei rubbed his eyes and opened them, seeing the image of the dragon call. Presented in front of his eyes were two teenage girls. One had long black hair cascading straight down and eyes bright like the star-filled night sky.
Even though Gazei hadn’t seen a human girl in over 13,000 years, he still knew a teenage girl like this must be a goddess among mortals. The other was equally as beautiful. Lianna Pendragon was the physical counterpart of Rin. She was a slender yet athletically fit and well-endowed woman of above-average height. She had dark skin, golden irises, and black hair. Her hair was waist-length and kept in a ponytail with chin-length bangs framing the sides of her face. Both were 15 and pretty much acted like it.
“Let me sleep, woman. I was just thinking about quitting.”
“Quitting? My love, don’t be ridiculous. We have a mission to uphold. Unless you want to start making children, let’s go. It’s almost noon.”
The girls cut the call before Gazei could respond and complain. The dark-skinned boy sighed and slowly got up.
He eyed his messy room. Gazei had forgotten how bad his cleaning habits were back then. As a dragon, his room was an entire forest, and all he did was hunt, sleep, and eat. All around were books, scraps of food, and more books. The wardrobe closet was outfitted with nothing but red, black, and yellow simple clothing.
The dragon prince yawned and walked towards the mirror, a reflection that looked all too familiar. I’m surprised I look the same when I was 13, minus the hair, scales, tail, and wings. Gazei noted that he was far more toned than the average human.
It had been a month since he and his generals were teleported from the dragon realm into the mortal one. For the past month, there was nothing to do but wait until the rebirth of the world came online.
The island was created by his father as a last gift. This would be the headquarters of his guild company before setting up branches in the four kingdoms.
God, I wish I had chosen hell. At least I’d get to be as lazy as I want, Gazei mumbled, heading towards the teleportation docks. He checked his sun dial, which more looked like a smart watch.
July 21, 2024
In a few hours, D.M.A. would be officially released.
“The gods really like the MMO setup. I guess when you’re all-powerful, you can treat the souls of trillions of stupid mortals like a game,” Gazei said, picking his outfit for today. A simple red and black theme with short jeans.
“Well, a dragon’s gotta do what a dragon’s gotta do,” Gazei lazily stated as he kicked open the doors to his window.
Flying through the docks, he quickly reached his destination. The girls must have already gone ahead.
So this is a ‘human’ city. Origin Hills, the town where the races, some humans, and other demi-humans lived because of the gods, where they are recruiting before D.M.A. comes online.
Gazei was not familiar with the mortal realm. There were many guilds and groups already forming and trying to recruit members. He saw a guild called Ironclad Company with a human trying to recruit members.
The human looked very similar to a human who tried to invade the dragon realm with his undead army. Aniz Gong-Long, the wannabe overlord who took over his realm at the time after killing off a kingdom. This must be his descendant.
Well, he’s not joining that guild. The human had the same greedy expression as Aniz did.
As soon as Gazei walked into the Town Square section four, he spotted five beautiful girls. It was Rin and the others.
“My love, you finally came!” Rin exclaimed happily as she ran and gave him a hug. Her body double soon followed.
“Hi boss!” Katsumi, a pretty blonde with wild hair and red eyes, greeted him.
“Master, greetings.” Natsumi bowed to him. She was stoic as always and an exotic beauty.
“Sir! 1st company captain ready for duty, sir!” Lei-Lei said with a grin and saluted with her left arm upright on her chest.
Why don’t they ever call me by my name? Katsumi, Natsumi, and Lei-Lei were former mortals who were sacrificed but somehow ended up in the dragon realm.
Katsumi was a human with a rough childhood. She was sold into a cult and forced to build a tower to raise some dead human mage that he didn’t care to ask about.
Natsumi was the product of humans never learning how to seal a demon. Instead of a container, they sealed the powerful demon into humans of a certain bloodline. Then they treated that bloodline like they were the plague and the worst of human scum. One day, she ran away and was captured by the same cult that Katsumi used to be part of.
She later learned that the kingdom that treated her life like hell was destroyed not even a year after she left. It was the first and only time Gazei would see her smile.
Finally, Lei-Lei was the product of her uncle’s teleportation magic. Unlike the others, she was a panda beast woman. She was also the first mortal to join him and accept the power of a dragon.
When a mortal accepts the power of a dragon, they become a Dragonborn. The Drakyn, Trow, Eledar, and Gong. Humans, beast men, elves, and dwarves respectively.
There were others, but only the six of them could make it to the starting area, so they had to wait until they were on the land.
“Have you decided on what guild we should join, my love?” Rin asked, and now she was kissing him on the face. No, he was not blushing madly—anyone who said otherwise is a bloody liar.
“We are not doing that. We are going to start our own guild because dad said I should,” Gazei said lazily. Despite his nature, he doesn’t give up on his goals in life. Despite knowing that they would follow any command he would give, he still let them have a choice if they still wanted to follow him.
“But Master, do you know how much a Guild insignia would cost? That would be 10,000 Won. We also need more people than currently on the island. Including us, with the exception of Lady Rin and the other lifepath characters, we only have seven people ready. We also need NPCs to work the guild building, the workplace, salary, and the supply lines. Just the initial startup funds would be in the 100,000 Yen for a small unranked building permit. Did your father give you funds as well as the island?” She knew her master’s father was richer than most mortals. But it’s hard to believe that his highness would gift money.
There is a reason why dragons barter and not trade money with each other. Male dragons are the greediest creatures in existence. Even her master is no exception. He is just too lazy to show his greed.
“Fuck no, the bastard gave me jack shit. I don’t have a drop of money on me.” Gazei shrugged his shoulders, annoyed that his father was doing this to him again. Just like before, he would have to fund his own company once more. He seemed to recall a certain human guild from three millennia ago, and the price was 5 million yen for a 1-star guild. Then spent more and more to upgrade the buildings and equipment.
Maybe he should have paid attention to his father when he explained it all in the video letter.
“We can easily join one of the guilds. We are Dragonborn, after all, and it wouldn’t be hard for one to accept us. Dragonborn are rarer than morning sun drops on four-leaf clovers and are very sought after.” Natsumi said, not really caring if they joined a guild or not. She just listed the options to her master.
Gazei shook his head. “Nah, I have no desire to work for anyone but myself again.” The experience of his past life was less than ideal. Not very good at school and trouble making money made getting a decent job that didn’t piss you off so hard to find. And he found none.
Natsumi bowed. “As you wish, master. Should we get ready to start? But we still need the God Slate.”
“Don’t worry about those. My uncle sent me some for helping out with the Legion of the Damned a while ago. I didn’t know what they were used for. Apparently, they are used for the interface for the D.M.A. So are you girls ready to play?”
“Yes, Master/Sir/Boss/Love/Commander,” the five girls agreed.
Gazei grinned at them. You know what? This might be fun. I always wanted to be reincarnated in a world where it’s like a video game.
Soon the group reached the four warp gates to where the starting place would be. There are four kingdoms: Air, Fire, Earth, and Water nations. Each has different themes and monster sets. The Earth kingdom portal looked like a mix between Norse, Greek, European, and Roman styles mixed with a lot of space naming schemes.
The Earth Nation of Terra Sancta. The capital is Sanctus Terra. Diverse climates including vast plains, dense forests, and towering mountains. The culture of the nation is highly organized, strong, and disciplined. They value strength, stability, and honor. They excel in construction, mining, and agriculture with a strong emphasis on architecture and engineering.
Soon D.M.A. online was about to launch in five minutes.
With a smirk on his face, Gazei lazily counted down in his head.
“Dragons, Monsters, and Adventurers. Really creative, Gods. Get ready for me!”
