He ran through the office, afraid of what he had heard earlier. He had to come to see if it was true. Once he arrived at the entrance, he put his face up to the retinal scanner and entered. 

Before him was a meeting table with generals and the president conversing. He was greeted by the president, her gaze cold and uninviting. “Yes, Adam, it’s true,” she proclaimed.

Her cold words sent shivers down his spine. Before he could say anything, the president, Marida stopped him and turned in her chair to the large screen behind them.

She made a hand gesture, and a picture appeared on the screen. “So it’s true, then? What shall we do? Is it a threat to earth…?” he exclaimed, his voice laced with fear and excitement.

Merida cleared her throat. 

“We have some voice recordings, but they are not in our languages.From what we have gathered, they call their planet Bishingo. They have two moons and one sun. They also have two primates, one like ours and one different.”

He started to think, that even though he had suspected other life out there, he wasn’t prepared to face the complications of having other life out there. Meridia turned back to him and said “We are sending a group of scientists and some military to their planet.

I am inviting you to join them”. 

He looked down at the ground, he did not know what to say, part of him wanted to go but the other warned him of the dangers.

He looked back up with more courage and said “Yes, I would like to go but I want to be lead scientist…” he started rambling about all the requirements he would need to leave with them.

The president stopped him and said,

"Take whatever you need, your goal is to capture both types of primates and take plant and animal samples. Gather as much information as you can. I will be on comms with the team the whole time”.

He nodded and asked “When do we leave?”, Merida said “Tomorrow morning, so I suggest you get to packing. We will meet on base 0-1267 Alpha for transport. Don’t let me down, Adam”.

He nodded and hurried out of the conference room, his mind was filled with the things he needed to pack and get ready. He got into his car and sighed, he had been waiting for this day for what it seems decades.

He drove home and started backing a huge suitcase grabbing his scientific kit for storing samples and testing. He had a cat named Elvis and he didn’t wanna leave him so he was defiantly taking him, Elivis always stayed on his shoulders or walked around him. 

He was a smoky black main coon. After he was done packing, Elivis lay in bed with him as Adam pondered the journey ahead.

His alarm woke him up, Elvis was cuddled up against his face so it was hard to see the alarm, he got up and gave Elivis a quick pat, and checked his phone. It was around Five am, he had to wake up earlier since the base was an hour away by car.

He packed up his car and once he was done he made a “chi chi chi” sound. Elvis's ears flickered up and he jumped up on his shoulders, laying down he purred and rubbed his head against Adams.

They got into the car and he pushed start, he then left his house flying his car towards Base 0-1367 Alpha, Once they had gotten there, he parked his car got his bags, and looked around.

Feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness he marched on to the entrance. Some military men took his stuff and loaded it in the shuttle, he met with the president, and before he got on they got briefed on the mission.

Meridia explained to them their objectives: Capture both types of primates and bring them back. Collect samples of plants and animals. Try to be discrete while doing it and Try to get everyone out alive. 

He listened intently and also mingled with the other scientists. As they loaded onto the Shuttle he took one last look around on Earth and stepped in.

The journey to Bishingo was pretty rough, they all made it alive and now could see the planet from space. All the scientists huddled around the windows talking excitedly as they got closer.

It took another hour to pick a safe place to land. Once they were ready to disembark from the shuttle he was first in line, from the info they had gathered, they knew it had an oxygen-filled atmosphere.

As he stepped out he looked up at the purple sun and the light purple sky, the sun flashed in his eyes. Elvis meowed and looked around, his interest piqued by the environment. 

The trees had purple and blue leaves and the grass was green and the bushes were very colorful. He then heard a flapping noise and heard the military yell “CODE GREEN”. Before him, he saw many snake-like dragons emerge from the forest with people riding their backs.
