As the purple sunlight entered the room, the curtains flowed with the wind, the sunlight hit her face and she started to stir.

Her sister, Sammy, burst through her door, saying, “Wake up, sleepy head. It's time for breakfast.” Yazmina groaned and mumbled, “Five more minutes, please.” It was the weekend, and she was in no mood to wake up. Sammy rolled her eyes and walked over to her bed. " You have to get up. It’s the one day I’m off call, and I never get to spend time with my annoying sister,” she said with a cheerful tone.

Yazmina opened her eyes and smiled slightly. Then she groaned and stretched out, sat up, and rubbed her eyes. Sammy was in her face and making a funny face. Yasmina laughed and shook her head. “Okay, okay, jeez, I’ll get up.”

She got up and cracked her knuckles. Then, she looked in the mirror and started to fix her hair. Her purple curly hair was hard to fix at first, but she put it up. Her eyes were droopy, and her body ached with exhaustion. Yazmina watched Sammy walk out of the room and go to set the table.

Once she put on her day clothes she went to get her food, Sammy greeted her by saying “Your sorhebi kept me up, he keeps sticking his head in my window”. Yazmina chuckled and reached out to her sorhebi Koda through a telepathic connection. She started saying to Koda “So I hear you terrorizing Sammy. She would like to sleep you know”. Koda chuckled through the connection and then said “Sorry, but its fun to see her reaction, I’ll stop”.

She started to eat breakfast when she suddenly got a call from her boss, and she raised an eyebrow, confused. Sammy groaned and said, “Fine, go pick it up. Just when we wake up, huh?” She mumbled the last part, and not even a second later, she got a call from her boss. Yazmina chuckled and said in a petty voice, “Ugh, fine, you can go pick it up.”

She answered the call and asked, “Hi, Landon. Why are you calling me?” Landon was breathing erratically and said, “Code Brown, I repeat Code Brown.” She then realized what was going on: Code Brown was for an alien invasion. She said, “Understood, sir. What’s the situation?”

He replied “We had a shuttle land in our territory we approached with a small group of Riders. The Aliens look like humans, they speak English but have a different scent and don’t come from here. Two were injured, and one died. We have captured one and the rest of the aliens did not make it, he is being transported to our base. I’ve put you in charge of getting information out of him. Please report to our base”.

She agreed and hung up. Sammy had been in the other room, and she burst out and said, “A code brown? We have not had that one before. I’m in charge of patching up the one they captured. What about you?” Yazmina said, “I have to get information from the alien. I can speak English, so no wonder.” Sammy nodded and said, “True, you're going to have to translate for me.”.

They both called to their sorhebi and started to fly toward Base Crawthrorn, on the way she talked to Sammy about how exciting it was to finally have an alien invasion. It was scary but very exciting to learn of another planet’s existence. She decided to wear her gold and white military outfit as it was a special occasion, it was the uniform that displayed her rank in the military by using color.

Once they got there, she landed Koda and Sammy landed hers named Yelena. Military personnel went to put them in the stables and they both went to greet Landon. Landon looked at Sammy and said “Your boss has assigned you under me, as a combat surgeon and certified nurse we need you to keep The alien alive. Yazima since you are one of very few English speakers, I want you to translate for us, Understood?”.

They both nodded and had to go through security before going into the containment unit, Yazmina saw him first. She was a little curious as he did look a lot like the humans here, except most of the humans here had ears and a tail of some kind. He did not, she approached the alien and said in English “Hi, my name is Yazmina. I was sent here to talk to you, who are you and why did your kind land on Bishingo?”.

The alien who was on a hospital bed looked at her, he then asked “You can speak English? I thought you only spoke your language”.She nodded and said, “Well I can speak English because I majored in it, my colleagues cannot. Our native language is Shalanese, but like I said who are you? and why did u land here”. The alien looked over to Sammy and Landon, his eyes widened a bit and Sammy asked her “What is he saying? And can you ask him what hurts?”. Yazmina turned to him and said, “My sister, Sammy is a doctor and will patch you up.Where does it hurt?”.

He looked back at Yasmina and said “My name is Adam, and before I answer any questions, where is my cat? Elvis”.Yazmina didn’t know what a cat was and asked Landon “He’s asking for “cat” I suppose it’s like an animal? Did he have any with him when u captured him?”. Landon then on his radio asked, “Please bring in the black creature that was with the Alien.”.Tom, one of her friends brought in a small creature carrier who Jerry accompanied. Yazmina asked Adam “ Is it dangerous?”, Adam shook his head and Tom let Elvis out.

The Black creature was adorable, it went up to Sammy and sniffed her, it made a “purrr” sound and rubbed against her. Sammy Gasped and grabbed the creature looking at it and said “Awhhhh it’s so cute, no wonder why the alien wanted him”.Yazmina then piped up and said “The alien is a Male and his name is Adam”, Sammy carried the cat over to Adam and set him down on Adam. Elvis saw Adam and meowed, he rubbed up against him and laid down beside him.

Adam seemed to sigh in relief and then looked to Yasmina and said “Thank you, as for where it hurts, I can feel pain in my wrists and my lower body”.Yazmina nodded and told Sammy “He says it hurts in his wrists and lower body, fix him up before we question him anymore”. Sammy nodded and Yazmina and Landon went out of the room to finish up reports.

Sammy then approached him, she couldn’t speak his language so she had to rely on body language, she started to examine his body and noted that he had sprained wrists and a fracture in his leg. She then was thinking of some way to ask him if anything else hurt. She then heard him speaking, she could not understand him so she tilted her head in confusion. He then started to point at his hip, she got what he was saying and couldn’t feel properly due to his clothes she then used her hands to give him a “Pull your pants on this side slightly down”.

It took him a second to get it and he slightly moved his pants lower where she could see purple bruises, she gave a concerned look and felt the area. It was soft and tender, she then gave a “mmmm” sound. She then went into a cabinet and pulled out a shot, it would help heal it up by the next day and with the pain. She made a gesture of having to give him a shot. He made a wincing face and slowly nodded, she prepared the shot and felt for a vain in his hip. She then stuck the needle in and pushed the antibodies into him.
