James and P.R.O.T.E.C.T. made their way through the dark, dimly lit corridor of the cryolab, their footsteps echoing loudly against the walls. Suddenly, they came across a door that had been barred shut. James used his considerable strength to force it open, and they stepped through into a large room.
As they entered, the sound of moaning and groaning grew louder. James and P.R.O.T.E.C.T. froze, realizing that they were not alone. Six zombies were slowly shuffling towards them, their eyes fixated on James.
"We need to act quickly," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. warned. "Those zombies have your scent, James. We need to take them out before they get to us."
James nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that he had to stay calm and focused if he wanted to survive this encounter.
"What do we do?" James asked, his voice low and urgent.
"Take out the Gerber StrongArm from your backpack," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. instructed. "It's a powerful tool that will help us defeat these zombies. I'll guide you through it."
James quickly rummaged through his backpack, pulling out the Gerber StrongArm. He had never used it before, but he knew that it was a reliable and sturdy tool.
"Okay, what do I do now?" James asked, his hands shaking slightly.
"First, make sure the blade is sharp. You want to be able to slice through those zombies like butter," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. advised.
James examined the blade and saw that it was indeed sharp. He gripped the Gerber StrongArm tightly, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves.
"Okay, I'm ready," James said, looking up at P.R.O.T.E.C.T. for guidance.
"Good. Now, remember to aim for the head. That's the only way to take down a zombie. And keep moving. Don't let them surround you," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. cautioned.
James nodded, his eyes fixed on the advancing zombies. He took a step forward, raising the Gerber StrongArm above his head. With one swift motion, he brought it down on the first zombie's head, slicing through its skull like it was made of butter. The zombie fell to the ground, twitching and jerking.
"Good job, James. Keep going," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. encouraged.
James swung the Gerber StrongArm again, this time at another zombie that was getting too close. The blade sliced through its neck, severing its head from its body.
The other zombies were closing in now, their moans growing louder. James felt his heart pounding in his chest as he continued to swing the Gerber StrongArm, taking out zombie after zombie.
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. was right beside him, guiding him through the chaos. "Keep going, James. You're doing great. Just a few more."
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, James took out the last zombie. He stood there, breathing heavily, covered in blood and sweat.
"Good job, James," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. said, sounding relieved. "You did it."
As James and P.R.O.T.E.C.T. made their way out of the Corridor following the exit signs, P.R.O.T.E.C.T. spoke up. "James, for every zombie you took out, I award you 5 experience points."
James felt a sense of satisfaction as he thought about the 7 zombies he had just defeated. "That's 35 experience points in total, right?"
"Yes, that's correct," P.R.O.T.E.C.T. confirmed.
As James realized he had earned enough experience points to level up, he felt a sense of accomplishment. "I did it, I leveled up!"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. congratulated him. "Congratulations, James. You are now level 2. Your training and experience in combat have made you stronger and more prepared to face the dangers ahead."
James felt a new sense of confidence as he realized that he had become stronger. "Thanks, P.R.O.T.E.C.T. I couldn't have done it without your guidance and support."
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. nodded. "It's my pleasure, James. Remember, with each level comes greater challenges and greater rewards. Stay focused and keep improving, and you will continue to grow stronger."
As they continued to explore the cryolab, P.R.O.T.E.C.T. decided to reveal a new capability to James. "James, I have the ability to alter your DNA to make you stronger, faster, smarter, and more resilient."
James was surprised by this revelation. "Really? How does that work?"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. explained, "Through a process known as genetic modification, I can manipulate your genetic material to enhance your physical and mental capabilities. This can include things like increasing your muscle mass, improving your reflexes and reaction time, enhancing your cognitive abilities, and boosting your immune system."
James was fascinated by the idea of becoming a better version of himself. "That sounds amazing! How do we get started?"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. replied, "First, we need to assess your current stats. Your stats determine your abilities in various areas such as strength, agility, intelligence, and charisma. We will use this information to determine which areas we need to focus on for genetic modification."
James was intrigued. "I have stats? How do we measure them?"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. explained, "Yes, you have stats. We have been monitoring your physical and mental abilities since we began our journey. Your stats are based on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest possible level of ability. We will use these stats to determine which areas need improvement."
James nodded, feeling excited to see how his stats would measure up. "Okay, let's do it!"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. proceeded to analyze James' stats and determined that his strength and agility could use some improvement. "James, based on your stats, I recommend that we focus on enhancing your strength and agility through genetic modification. This will make you stronger and faster in combat situations, and more able to defend yourself against the dangers of the outside world."
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. also informed James that he would receive a free perk point for leveling up, which he could use to unlock a special ability or skill.
James felt a sense of excitement as he thought about the possibilities. "This is incredible! Let's get started!"
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. proceeded to alter James' DNA Focusing on his strength and agility. James clenched his fist hard drawing blood from his palm as he felt his muscle mass increasing.
P.R.O.T.E.C.T. "Your updated stat sheet is as follows: your strength level is now at 4 out of 10 and your agility level is also at 4 out of 10. Your intelligence level is still at 5 out of 10, indicating that you have average cognitive abilities, and your charisma level is still at 4 out of 10, indicating that you have some social skills but there is still room for improvement."
"James, as you progress through the zombie-infested world, you will face many challenges that require specific skills and abilities," said P.R.O.T.E.C.T. "To aid you in your journey, I have compiled a list of 10 unique perks for you to choose from. Each of these perks will provide you with a distinct advantage, so choose wisely."

"Which of these perks would you like to choose, James?" asked P.R.O.T.E.C.T. "Remember, you can only choose one, so think carefully about which one will best suit your needs."
James spends a couple of minutes thinking to himself. "while these all seem good and very useful i think the current situation calls for number 3" James said.
"Alright James, you've made a wise choice," said P.R.O.T.E.C.T. "The Toughness perk will allow you to take more damage from zombie attacks, making it harder for them to take you down. This will be especially useful in situations where you cannot avoid an encounter."
James nodded in agreement. "Yes, I think this perk will help me survive longer in the zombie-infested world," he said.
"Excellent choice, James," said P.R.O.T.E.C.T. "Now that you have chosen your perk, let me enhance your DNA to give you an immediate boost to your strength and agility."
