SAIF
Tissue shredded away from him as the star’s heat and radiation burned without mercy. Elizabeth’s grip was still around him, but she had stopped moving. Death had taken her. But he was too far in now, the gravity well was too strong, and the damage to his body too severe. He couldn’t access his flight manifestation, and the rate of his healing was falling. His deposits were depleting.
“Rachel, help me!” Saif yelled.
Rachel laughed.
“Rachel! I am literally falling into pieces!” Saif said.
The adrenaline deposit was empty. Blood as well. There were a few drops left in the water deposit. But without his flight or healing, death was moments away.
“Rachel” Saif said. “Heal me! Or let me fly.”
Rachel laughed. “You lose. We won. All the souls of the powered people you have collected, we fought against you. Shut you out from your powers. We won.”

Saif waved his arms. “Fuck!”
Something tingled in the back of his head.
“What are you doing?” Saif said.
“Everyone will know what you did,” Rachel said. “And that you lost.”
“No! I am God, I cannot lose, I cannot fail. I am not letting mankind die,” Saif said.
“You went too far and too greedily. Mankind will be fine, very much so, now that you have been removed from it. They will thrive,” Rachel said.
A handful of thoughts tore themselves, no, Rachel and the others inside his mind pulled them loose and bundled them and launched them. Away from him, away into space. Destination: everyone.
“It has been done,” Rachel said. “Saif, dear, it is time for you to rest now.”
“I am God!” Saif yelled.
“Goodbye,” Rachel said.
“VAULT!”
“THE!”
“HURDLE!”
Saif struggled and trashed, doing whatever he could think of to stay alive, but it was in vain. The very molecules of his body were ripped off and flung into space. After a sharp moment of pain, everything went numb and black. The era of Saif was over.
