Chapter 13 - Alright, do as you want.

Chapter 13 - Alright, do as you want.

“Wow! It's big~.” Rina looked at the structure in front of her with sparkling eyes.

On the next morning, after being woken up by the man from her village, they continued their journey to the Royal Capital Valhale. And indeed, as Rina had already estimated, it took them nearly two hours to reach it. Now that the sun had reached its highest point in the sky, they stood before a large gate, the entrance to the capital. She couldn't help but get a little excited at the fantasy-like sight in front of her.

“Ahem!... So shitty bra- *cough* little girl...” the man spoke up slightly irritated by the girl's choice of words.

“Rina is my name... By the way, Mister, are you okay? You've been coughing a lot since yesterday,” the girl asked tilting her head.

“Eh? Y-yes I'm okay... nothing to worry about. So, Rina, what's your plan?”

At this question, the girl raised her left hand to her chin and thought loudly, “I don't know yet. But I'm thinking of looking for a place where you can do odd jobs for a little money. I'm confident in my endurance after all!” She puffed out her non-existent chest. But soon after that, she turned red, because...

*grumble*

...her stomach grumbled. “Ehehe, I will look for something to eat first. So It's time to say goodbye, Mister.”

“Ah wait, little lady.”

“Yes?”

”I buy you something to eat and rent you a room in an inn for the night. In return, you accompany me for today. It's not like you have something to do, do you?”

“...Why would you do that? I don't have any money to pay you back.”

“Eh? Hmmm.” The man seemed to think for a moment. “Ah-, I'm waiting for my companions to arrive tonight, and thought you could help me pass the time.”

“I see.” Rina was convinced. “Okay, I take you up on that offer, Mister.” It wasn't like she had any plans after all. Besides, there was something about this man, that still bothered her, so she might as well stick around and see what it was for the time being.

With that, they entered Valhale bypassing, the knights who were guarding the gate, and headed for the nearest food stall they could find. After the man paid for the food, they found a place to sit and ate their lunch.

“Thanks for the food! I have eaten something that was actually prepared by a real cook.” She said after she had finished eating. Until now, she had just mixed random ingredients together whenever she was hungry. So this was actually her first properly cooked meal in her new life.

“N-no problem... You're welcome...”

“...”

“Say...”

“What is it, Mister?”

“Do you enjoy life? With no parents, and all. And even though you are still young, there's no way you didn't notice that the whole village hates you, do you?”

Rina nodded, “Yes I know.”

“THEN HOW?” The man jumped off the bench and faced the girl “... how can you be so expressive? Shouldn't you hate the world for all that? Because it doesn't seem like it. Does it all not make you sad? Angry? Frustrated?”

'Because I'm already used to it,' was what her old self would have replied. But as she had already decided to change herself, she instead answered with a wide smile, “No, it's nothing to be sad or whatsoever about it.”

“So you don't care what happens around you?”

She shook her head. “That's not the case. I do care about my surroundings. It's just... what people think about me is not important to me.”

“You... tsk, then let's see what you're like when we're done with you.”

While the girl was confused as to why the man had suddenly become angry, his words made her wonder even more. “What do you mean?”

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

“Nothing, let's look around the capital until nightfall, my friends still need time to prepare the place. Now come, you shitty brat!” At this point, the man didn't even bother to keep up appearances anymore as he judged that the girl was either too dumb or naïve or whatever to see through his intentions.

And indeed, she didn't even notice his incoherent statement about his companions and followed suit.

With that, they let the time pass, wandering aimlessly, visiting the stalls in the market square, and eating dinner. As far as Rina was concerned, it was one of the most luxurious days she had ever experienced in Yggildos, as she had never had two meals in one day before.

Though his attitude towards her had changed once again after lunch. Now he treated her like all the other villagers. He looked at her with a hateful glare, clicked his tongue every time they spoke, and even pushed or pulled her roughly when she couldn't keep up with his pace. But again, this was nothing new for the red-haired girl. So she didn't mind it. After all, he did pay for her two meals and even promised her a place to sleep at night, so in her eyes, he was still kinder than anyone else she had met, except for Sister Baal, of course.

More important to her was the fact that even though Rina had been watching the man closely, she still couldn't put her finger on what had made her worry about him in the first place. But whatever. There was still time to figure out what it was.

As dusk fell and the two of them walked silently down one of the main streets, the man spoke up, “Shitty brat, it's time to go to the lodging I promised you. But remember, it's only for tonight, are we clear?”

“Yes! Once again, thank you for your help. I will definitely pay the money back!”, she smiled back at him brightly.

“Tsk. *mumbles* Let's see if you can still smile like that after seeing hell.*mumbles*”

Clicking his tongue the man ended the conversation and sped up. He didn't care that she nearly had to run to keep up with him. After a while, they left the main road and entered a dark alley. A few left and right turns later he stopped in front of a rundown house, opened the door, grabbed Rina's wrist, and literally threw the surprised girl inside.

*Thud*

“Ouch,” the poor girl yelped reflexively as she landed on the floor. When she looked up at the man astonished, she saw that he had already closed and locked the door she had been thrown through. After getting up, she looked around to see three other men, apart from the one she had been with the entire day. It was only when she saw the four of them grouped together that she remembered who the man she was with and the others were.

They had always occupied the main square in the village of Mousa drunk, harassing passers-by and causing trouble. Their track record of criminal shenanigans was long. Thus, besides Rina, they were people the villagers shunned the most. Right after her birth, although her baby senses were quite restricted at that time, she had heard Sister Baal confess, that some 'good-for-nothing drunkards' were responsible for her father's death. She didn't need to be a genius to conclude that Sister Baal was referring to the men around her. While at it, she also knew that they were the ones, who had burned down her parents' house.

While Rina was busy sorting out her thoughts, three men closed in to her, causing her to step back, and bump into a man standing behind her. It was the man, she had spent the entire day with. He swiftly grabbed both of her arms and pulled them upwards, lifting the girl off her feet.

“What are you doing?” Slight panic was written all over her face.

While she was detained, one of the men in front of her approached and tore off the clothes, her only possession right now, apart.

“Hmm her face is exactly like that of that bitch', though her body...”

“What did you expect, she is still a child after all.”

“Well child or not, as long as that beautiful face contorts in pain, I'm happy with it. Her eyes and hair are disgusting though...” The men talked to each other, literally drooling.

“Why are you doing this? Please stop.” The girl had managed to calm down a little from her initial panic and tried to reason with them.

“Hehe, it's useless girlie.” The man behind her licked her cheeks. “You're done for.”

“Are you going to k-kill me? I've never done anything to you.”

“Haaaaah?? KILL YOU?!?! AHAHAHAHA.” The man behind her was insane. “Don't worry, you'll experience something much, muuuch worse.” He buried his face in her neck from behind and took a deep breath as if to inhale her scent.

Even though she was a little awkward in social interactions, she was not stupid. Of course, she knew, what he meant.

'They really plan to r*pe me?' Strangely, it was neither fear nor panic nor any other emotion in that direction that Rina felt. It was admiration.

Although she had changed herself in this life, one thing stayed the same. It was the disgust and hatred she felt for her own self, her voice, her body, her personality, her entire existence. In other words, her lack of self-confidence. So she could only admire the people in front of her who actually desired her body. Well, this time, apparently, because she had the same face as her mother, but still, it was her body.

And as she looked up into their faces to confirm her thoughts, another mystery that had been bothering her, was solved. Since the day before, there had been something about the man that had made her worry. And his three friends were the same. She was also worried about them. And now, she knows why.

The resemblance between her old, fat, and disgusting self in her previous life and these men is apparent.

'The eyes, they are the same.'

She knew them very well. She had seen them every day for years, every time she had looked in a mirror in her past life. Like dead fish, not reflecting any light, seeing nothing but despair.

So, who was she to judge them?

Despite her social ineptitude, Rina was still able to see into the darkest emotions of these men. They had probably made a mistake, causing them to be shunned in the village which, again, prompted them to repeat their mistakes to fall into an even deeper hole. A typical downward spiral. The same had happened to her after all.

And now, maybe because they saw no other way out, not caring about the consequences of their actions, they decided to relieve their stress. It was only unfortunate for Rina, that she was the stress relief. But it's okay. She already had plenty of experience in being a stress relief tool. After all, her father in her previous life had also used her as such by insulting, hitting, punching, and kicking her on a daily basis.

So why not endure it now too?

She already wanted to be helpful to her surroundings, so why not prove her determination for it now? Maybe these men might even become better people when they are done with her, so why not be the catalyst for that?

Rina closed her eyes.

She didn't have any love for her body anyway, so why not let them do her until they were satisfied? Like all girls, Rina had always dreamed of giving her purity to a person, preferably a girl, she loves, but does such someone exist? Will there ever be a person like that? Maybe... no, probably... no, certainly not. There is no such person! And there never will!

So in the end, there was nothing to lose, right? The only problem was that there was no way, her body could take in a grown man without getting seriously injured in the process. But that's fine. She could manage somehow. What is a bit of physical pain compared to the mental pain those men must have felt?

She relaxed her body and looked deep into the men's lifeless, pitiful eyes.

“Alright, do as you want.”
