Chapter 292

CHAPTER 292

This time felt as good as it did last time.

Sebastian could even say that it felt better than last time due to the stimulants in his body.

After it was over, he picked up Madeline, who had lost all her strength, and went to take a bath.

She started to push him away shyly then. "Don't—"

"What are you afraid of?" He lowered his gaze to look at her. She could hear the humor in his words. "Why are you afraid of taking a shower together when we have done more intimate things?"

Madeline paused for a few beats before she mumbled, "I am still afraid. You go ahead and wash up. I'll shower later."

She could always close her eyes when doing the thing, but she couldn't possibly keep her eyes closed when she showered.

"That would be a waste of time," Sebastian said. "It is getting late. We should wash up quickly so that we can go to rest early."

He proceeded to ignore her objections and resistance, and carried her into the bathroom.

It was then that Madeline realized she, in fact, could take a shower with her eyes closed!

And that was exactly what she did until she was clean, and Sebastian then carried her back into the bedroom.

He couldn't help feeling amused as he watched her and asked, "Are you really that embarrassed?"

She only nodded her head without saying a word.

"It looks like you still haven't gotten into character." He caressed her smooth face, and noted how nice it felt against his fingers.

"W-What character?" she wondered.

"Your character as a wife. The preparation of the wedding is almost complete. Let's take our wedding photo when you have the time."

Hearing that, Madeline gasped in surprise. "So soon?!"

"Are you worried that the result might not be satisfactory if it is rushed?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows slightly. "If that is the case, I will give you the planning department's contact information, and you can directly liaise with them. You can tell them any request you have."

Hearing that, she blurted out, "No, that is not what I meant. I am not picky."

"How can you not be?" Sebastian then said disapprovingly, "It is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Of course we will have to get it as perfect as we can. You must be satisfied with it."

Madeline immediately froze after hearing that.

Once in a lifetime?

Is this… his promise to me?

Instead of replying, she only stared at him with blank eyes.

"What has gotten you dumbfounded like this?" He flicked her forehead before continuing, "By the way, there is one more thing. Since we are about to have a wedding, I have a few close friends that I want you to meet. They will be your family from now on. They all come from decent backgrounds, so in case you need anything in the future when I am not around, you can go to them directly."

Madeline was stunned. There was too much new information for her to digest.

Sebastian made it sound as though the both of them would be a real couple who lived a happy life together in the future!

Madeline could suddenly feel her heart thumping hard against her chest.

Noticing her silence, he added, "Why aren't you saying anything? I will make an appointment with them and let you know if you are comfortable with the arrangement. Are you okay with that?"

She hurriedly shook her head and stammered, "S-Sure."

She then brought a hand up and pressed it against her drumming heart. "Have you… made up your mind? We will be a real couple after the wedding," she reminded him.

"Of course." He nodded unhesitantly. "You are the mother of my sons. I like you, and we are compatible

in bed—"

Embarrassed, she cut him off, "You can probably leave that last part out."

"This is important too! If we aren't good in bed, it will affect the relationship between us husband and wife… Are you satisfied with my performance?" Sebastian kept teasing her because he liked how Madeline looked as she blushed.

It was only then that he realized that he had such a sadistic side of him that liked to see her flush as she helplessly flailed around.

She was adorable to look at.

"Can we stop talking about this?" Her cheeks looked as though they were about to explode.

He let out a chuckle at that. "I am guessing you are satisfied with me. If you don't deny it, I will take it as you are agreeing with me."

Speechless, Madeline began to wonder how a man who looked so noble and aloof from the outside could be so unrestrained in bed.

Fine.

Maybe men are really more open-minded than women when it comes to things like this.

But still, Madeline didn't want to discuss this with him at all, so she quickly changed the subject.

"You know how much I would love to marry you. After all, everyone thinks that it is a privilege for me to be able to marry you. You are perfect. You are literally the most perfect man I have ever met. Also, you are Aldo and Buddy's biological father…"

Among the many reasons she told him, the most important one, which was also the only reason that influenced her decision, was the last one.

Just Sebastian being a good father, on top of being the real father to her boys, was enough a reason for Madeline to willingly marry him. Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

She would still marry him even if he wasn't as perfect as he was, as long as he loved Quincy and Joel and they loved him back.

But those were all hypothetical.

In fact, Sebastian was so perfect to the point where she was the one who would be gaining a lot from their matrimony.

"You humble yourself too much." He looked at her with an unwavering gaze. "You are the most beautiful and kindest woman I have ever met. To tell you the truth, I never thought about getting married and starting a family before I met you. I hated the idea of it from the bottom of my heart. But now, I am pleased to accept the fact that I want to marry you and become a couple with you. This should be enough to be an indication of your brilliance and charm."

He couldn't say for sure if what he had with Madeline was love.

Perhaps, their relationship felt more like a marriage in older times that was held under their parents'

and matchmaker's arrangement.

Couples from those times would normally not have any sort of feelings for one another, but they would still be able to live together harmoniously with mutual respect after the marriage.

This was probably what fate was.

Because if it wasn't, there was no way they could have sons as lovable as Quincy and Joel.

This was their destiny.

Not marrying Madeline was simply unacceptable!

Hearing his words calmed her uneasy heart. She then gathered up her courage, looked at him and said, "I am glad that you don't sound like you are being forced into it. Even though I really hope that Aldo and Buddy can have a complete family, I don't want their happiness to be at the expense of your happiness. You are a good person, and I hope you have a fulfilling life. I don't want you to force yourself into doing something against your wish for Aldo and Buddy's sake."

"You worry too much, I am not as great as you think I am." Sebastian touched her cheek and smiled softly. "You are wonderful. I like being with you very much. I always feel calm and peaceful when I am with you. And Aldo and Buddy? They make me feel as though my heart has been dipped in honey. I have lived for so long, and it is only after I met you and the kids that I realized living could be such a sweet thing."

Madeline felt a lot more reassured after hearing this.

With her lips pursed into a smile, she murmured, "Indeed. I have only known what happiness is after I gave birth to them. The happiness I have felt in the past was all on the surface, and I would forget about the moments in just a while. Just like what you said, the happiness I feel from being with Aldo and Buddy is so sweet it feels like my heart has been dipped into pure honey. It is so, so sweet it feels as though they have been engraved in my bones. I don't even need to see them to recall the feeling. I just have to think of them."

"What about me?" Sebastian glanced at her with a smile. "Does being with me make you happy?"
