Yang Xiao rested a bit more and then started hiding the wolf corpses. It would be impossible for him to carry them all, he simply didn’t have enough hands. He would need to go back to the village and get some hunters that help with carrying the wolfs.
He grabbed the corpse of the wolf leader and carried it back to the village. He could already predict the situation if he didn’t bring the leader back. The villagers would doubt him and think it’s to dangerous to follow him. Instead of arguing about if he killed the wolf leader or not it was better to just throw the wolf leaders corpse in front of their feet.
And that’s what he did, he carried the wolf leader the entire way back. The villagers were shocked when they saw that big wolf corpse. They couldn’t believe that Yang Xiao had hunted that wolf all alone. Shocked whispering could be heard throughout the entire village.
„isn’t that wolf to big?“
„don’t you know? That’s the wolf leader, i saw him once when i was hunting in the forest“
„wolf leader? Isn’t that the spiritual beast that once wiped out an entire village?“
Such whispers could be heard throughout the entire village. But Yang Xiao couldn’t be bothered about it, he quickly gathered some hunters and told them that he needed help with carrying the spoils of the hunt back.
Tgey were surprised when they heard that. But they just thought it would be a few rabbits that he couldn’t carry back because he had to carry the wolf corpse.
But when they arrived and saw the dozens of wolf corpses they were shocked. Almost all of those wolfs were spiritual beasts, so even tho it was only 40 wolfs, food wise it would even hold longer then 80 wolfs. That was an astronomical amount of wolfs and they couldn’t believe their eyes.
If they were careful and rationed out the meat carefully and then sold the wolf fur, then wouldn’t all their problems that worried them sick be solved?
They were extremely excited and immediately started carrying the wolf corpses back. Of course just the wolfs weren’t enough to feed an entire village that had hundreds of people. But with the money combined that they would get from selling the fur it would be more then enough.

They could even sell the bones of the wolfs, bones were a valuable material because it coulzbe used to make weapons or be grinded into bone dust and used for alchemy.
It could be said that all the villages problems dissapeared overnight. This was the power of a cultivator in this world, one action of theirs could easily affect the masses. Of course Yang Xiao had still a low cultivation level, he could save. Village out of it’s crisis, but if it was a city he would be helpless.
But he had already planned to go in seclusion after this, that’s why he didn’t follow the hunters back in the village. He told them that he needed to enter seclusion.
They were disappointed but they understood, they would benefit from Yang xiao increasing his strength so they had nothing to complain. Yang Xiao took two wolf corpses and went deeper into the forest.
He didn’t have to eat much when he was in seclusion, but it was better if he already had food with him instead of having to go hunting. He arrived more deeply in the forest, as deeply as he dared to go. This deep into the forest you could already find qi gathering realm stage 8 beasts.
So it was his limit, if he went in even further it would be risking his life. And he didn’t mind to risk his life to obtain treasures, or legendary techniques. But he definitely wouldn’t risk his life to enter seclusion.
The only reason he ventured that deeply into the forest, was that the wood qi was denser the further you went into the forest. Cultivating here might not be as effective as deeply in the forest, but he could just make that up by cultivating one or two months longer.
It was dumb to risk his life to cultivate a bit faster, of he wasn’t even in a need to progress fast. He had 100 years extra lifespan, and his lifespan would further increase with each realm that he progressed. And since he cultivated wood his lifespan would be even more terrifying then the lifespan of normal cultivators.
Of course that was if the system was nice enough to keep giving him wood cultivation techniques. It was possible to cultivate multiple elements, but it would be really inefficient if he had to constantly change the element when the system gave him a new technique.
Luckily this problem didn’t apply to body cultivation. No matter what element it would still strengthen the body. Thes each had their own strengths, but there was no downside in changing ekekein body cultivation. Just that original elements effect would get weaker.
But enough thinking, it was time to cultivate, he sat down and started his seclusion. Months passed like this till eventually an entire year passed. He had already helped the village so there was no need to bother with them for this while.
He would help the village, but he definitely wouldn’t abandon his seclusion for them. His realm had reached the peak of the qi gathering realm and body strengthening realm. He was at the 9th stage in both of them, only one more breakthrough and he would be a foundation establishment cultivator.
