Mican’s Revenge

Mican’s Revenge

Pas startled and held his head down! “Rest, Galar, you lie in healing. Esamie, talk to him!”

Esamie laid on the part of the bed behind his head and laid his hands very gently on his red curls. They were very orange, like Allison’s, on both men. “Rest, Ba. You are unwell, but regen comes, to heal you.”

“Ba.” His red-gold eyes turned very light. Kind of golden. He shuddered, and grimaced!

“I will stay.”

Fa pulled us out. “I wish to stay, but we—I can nae bear!”

“Nito, nae this shame. I go!” The female voice made us all look up.

“Eae eae~, Ilaesan! Sa, nae can comfort as you!” They hugged, then he let go. The healer with her supported her. Her long curls were golden with silver. He shared memories of what happened as they went to him.

“Shouldn’t we take Farley with us?” Elsie looked from inside the yellow building to us.

“Ella needs him. His mind helps her with her programming.” I saw him frowning at her as she worked. He startled awake a lot when he slept.

“He does? My friend has well skills, but nae in server instruction!”

Elsie started to answer, then ran in there. Pas helped her sit on the bed next to Ella and she got to work.

“Your mind helps me—”

I felt Mican’s panic. He’s on Lisbaar, right now, and he found a recloning chamber. His clone rose. Rubbed an eye. “There’s my revenge! Go to my ship. I can’t port or get back on it, but I altered your genetics so you can. Go to Esta Faho and get in that weapons facility!”

“I am your revenge, Fahie!” He ran. Almost got gunned down. There’s a war going on! Few people had plasma weapons like that. People slung stone balls. One hit him in the chest, but it just hurt. Didn’t knock him down. He saw the ship, past men on savage animals with armor and sharp horns. He merely shoved animals aside! Things as big and heavy as a hippo! Oh, I hoped he’d—but this man doesn’t have a future! I can’t port his end here. He doesn’t have an end to snatch under him.

But, I saw Kenneph. I didn’t know him, but Tom does! He had one of those war animals, fighting to get to an underground place, to bring down the server. But, another man pushed ahead of him. “I’ll get him!”

“You are Earthan! You cannot—”

The distraction was enough. A man threw powder in his face and another one—a Dosilian—grabbed him. He opened a portal--

A hand reached through that portal and grabbed him by the throat. Pulled him through. I guided that hand!

Kenneph’s brother Jonnev took him on his animal. A white portal with a friend came and got both of them. They landed on a ship! They’re going to his home, to MarKu! As he laid on the floor of the ship, dying, I swapped him sitting on that animal, before he breathed that stuff. His brother startled with a leaf in his hand, looking at his points through the other hand, and waved the leaf away.

But, the person whose eyes I was seeing through, this clone of Mican, got to his ship. His chest hurt. It just made him angry. Revenge. That’s all he is! He thought of weapons in that facility that would bring him to power without the Cube, to overthrow Ry’nao! Then, he thought of the date. It’s the 31st, on Earth. The date was in Elshar, but Tom converted.

Mican pushed him to Esta Faho, then the mental screams shook him up. A star chart showed, Lisbaar blew up! Took 3 star systems with it! He seethed with anger. All those weapons—but he’s looking at the black rectangle. The last of Gedda Dier’s weapons. And they are mine for the—the scientists are dead? No! Without them—I have to hurry. Who found them first?

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

He ran a prog to gather sand. Progs to detect substances from that explosion 20 years ago. With this, I can seed worlds with poisons no one on this level can detect. Who’s that? He waved up a holo. Ella and Farley? They got in. But, they--

I startled, and Tom hugged me.

“Be happy, all who worry for Galarsmen. He will recover completely.” I lifted my head, in Tom’s arms. We’re on our bed, and Pas just said that.

“What happened to my friend? Will he have unwell again?” Fa sat by him. He’d just come back from the Temple with a slew of other worried people. Tom let me see it. I shivered and he put a blanket on me.

Pas sighed. “His mind spilled. But, he had a strong regen and all is well now. He needs days of rest, but he is well. I began herbs to strengthen his vessels. For a few days, he must rest much, that his mind heals. He may have unwells of memory. We must comfort him quickly, that upset ne brings unwell again.

“I can ne predict if severe unwell comes again. I hoped we had progs in place to warn of this, but once we knew of it, his progs also knew and acted to save him. Pirad’s work is very well.” Does Pirad know Mican did this?

“Pirad? I didn’t see him—” Ella looked around.

“Lady, we all have his healing terminals, spread by touch. When he had unwell, they acted to save him, but Pirad saw him through me. He learned to send his healing, Ella.”

“What’s with the Lady Ella stuff? Because I’m married?”

Pas took Ella’s hand. “O, we call you so, ne only because you married, but to show respect for your skills.”

She smiled and nodded. Zheien are interesting.

Tom put me on my feet and we walked out. “Did you have enough sleep, Becky?” What saw you? Fa worries.

I saw Mican. I shuddered.

But, Feronoras came from a portal. “Ready to tour Calladia, yea Becky? Yee Antomias, will you also come?” His blue eyes turned light.

He waved and we wore our diplomatic formals, with an extra border of royal blue, King Anfon’s color.

We stepped through to Calladia. The palace was the royal blue.

And, Anfon, King Of Calladia, bowed low. He’s young. Our ages. “Ah, 1st Prince Antomias and 1st Princess Becky! I am very happy to meet you today! Tom and I served many missions together. My clone stayed on Earth to help with Wasa Mai’s business, so I could accompany our newest members. There are nae many left, as you can see.” He showed us their spaceport. It’s Jackson? Oh, one spaceport for all of Rahn Estar! I felt dumb. Some kids didn’t want to take a portal, so they had riding animals. A kid giggled on a cael as a happy couple ran to it. “O! Is this Robert?”

“Eae! Pirad recloned him as an infant, and he is Elshar, so he remembers only kindness. Move slowly, and he na frightens.” The Ishah lady carefully lifted him and put him in his new mea’s arms. Her eyes turned very light.

“Mama!” He giggled.

“Eae, I am your mama!” They took him to share a pastry.

Anfon laughed. “Yea Becky, shall we--”

Pirad came to me, not to the Zheien or Ahstam young or old. “Morgan, I think you know much to help us! Come with me.” Gently, he touched me between the eyes. I nearly fainted! But, I heard a lot of curious healers’ minds.

Slowly, I got up. Followed his fluid walk. They have two joints for every one I had. We walked through the multicolored building to the purple room. In back, there was a bed of sweating, shivering, crying Zheien. I ran to one who laid there whimpering in a fetal position. Another Deesamor yellow victim. I held him in my arms and put my hands on the back of his head.

Pirad got in my mind to listen.

He didn’t look at me. “Yel-low. Beg.”

I let him feel a little of it, and he couldn’t. All his nerves were burned out. Numbed. Zheien can’t stand being numb. Or losing telepathy. He lost most of his senses and ability to communicate, except words he couldn’t make out. Slowly, I found the nerves that worked, and made them healthier. I sang to him. It wasn’t any song that I knew, but an Aryllan lullaby that Sela used to sing to her niece. I sang louder.

Energy came from the Biehshah Building nearby! I saw ways to expand this Zheien’s ability to feel pleasure, happiness, remember things, learn things, and was tempted to give him more than he had. But, I remembered how they cried on the ship when the guards gave them pleasure herbs. Zheien don’t need to have their basic feelings upped. I gave him normal abilities.

Whose memories are these? Somebody in Rainbow. And that fella’s older, but his hair is straight. And black. I didn’t want to see his face!
