SHHH! SWOOSH!
Bo Ning sat within his room and at this time he had just now felt his meridians enter the body of the Titan Bull and had just connected to the Dantian. Having let nature take its course he was about to start performing the ‘Incubation and Seed Formation Art’ when the energy stored in the Bull burst out like a tsunami.
It flooded his body making him feel bloated and shocked and the energy felt like it was starting to leak but at this time Ning began to cultivate. He needed to somehow alleviate this massive amount of energy and from his shoulder he tried to connect to Tora to send him this extra energy and help cultivate him at the same time.
Sadly the strain was a bit much for him so he simply buckled down and began to cultivate within the body of the unborn Bull and his own rapidly gathering the energy to form the seed while refining the energy to leave only Qi behind while his body refined the rest.
His entire body was completely washed in energy and as he returned to Qi to the bull it began to grow but the unending stream of energy was like a broken dam let loose. He couldn’t even disconnect because it would kill the Bull since he had begun the process of binding it and the energy was its life force so without forming the seed there was no way after you start.
After several minutes of refining this energy he found the body of the bull was rapidly forming as it absorbed the refined Qi which returned into its body. As for the seed, with such a massive abundance of energy after half an hour it finished forming with the Titan Bull only half formed in its egg.
As soon as the seed formed the two seeds began to resonate and Tora’s seed also began to absorb energy but very little but he felt the burden lower quite a bit so he tried to connect to Tora once more and this time the Meridians slowly expanded and connected to the little flying fish.
As soon as it did so the two seeds resonated at an even greater frequency and the still flooding energy was sucked and refined at an even increased pace while most of the energy went through the new seed and went back to the Titan Bull a part went into Tora after passing through Ning.
Another half hour passed when Tora suddenly hissed and his body expanded to its full size and it roared as his body glowed slightly.
Within its body Ning could feel the Qi flowing in the body. The Qi slowly flowed from Meridians to the skin then from the skin to the muscles, then to the organs then to the bones. Only than did he feel another thing. Slowly Qi began to find its way into the thin merrow.
Unlike for humans Houtian realm was represented by the Qi entering the merrow of the body. Once the merrow is completely refined by the Qi a pure perfect flow of Qi in the body will occur but humans can’t freely do this because once the bones have been washed by Qi they become too densely packed making penetration almost impossible so humans invented pills to allow a simple washing of the bone and marrow allowing them to bypass this stage and instead the Houtian is used to develop the meridians making them more robust and flexible and clearing closed meridians so called the pulse condensing by humans. For beasts there is no need and once the marrow is developed entering Xiantian is a simple matter of finding the opportunity.
Still this sudden burst of Qi also propagated to the Seed which further developed causing it to burst with energy and advancing the development in the Titan Bull’s seed which further propagate an increased development in the egg as purer energy flowed back to the Bull causing its development seed to increase even more.
To Ning’s shock, the egg began to expand as the Bull developed more and more. Where the egg was 40 cm in diameter now it was 45 and stopped.
With the increased size the bull stopped growing in size and continued to develop all its parts slowly reaching the point where it will hatch and even so the energy was flowing without stopping. Ning just kept cultivating with the two and felt the Bull and the seed developing more and more and he knew the Egg could hatch but because the energy flow didn’t stop he couldn’t stop either.
He wondered how there could be so much energy to refine but then again, these were all left in a place of high energy for storage, if they naturally stored it to survive they would obvious have a huge store unless they were recently put inside.
It took another full hour of sharing between the three of them cultivating together for the last of energy to be used up and he finally withdrew his meridians and almost at once the egg hopped from a heavy impact and it came down in one go cracking one side were the leg of the Titan Bull burst out and in a very quickly and efficient manner the infant bull with the strength of Peak Low success Qi refining the shell burst apart and the Titan Bull stood up as it was and without even looking it turned towards its shell pieces and ate them all completely crunching them down to a mush and quickly laying down and falling asleep instantly.
Ning was actually incredibly startled by the display of strength from the little thing. It was no bigger than a small dog, thin brown fur and some sort of rock like hide from its hoof to its elbow joints on all legs and a thick but soft hide on its back. Its face looked cute but intimidating with two tiny lumps which would develop into horns.
Ning sighed and looked at Tora, “You can shrink back now.” He said.
Tora looked at him and growled before he shrank from his now 3 meter in length and 40 cm in width to his tiny size once more but examining him, Ning found that the spikes had completely developed forming formidable weapons and the fins had also become as sharp as blades while the skin was now hard as rock, the scales were also vastly harder than before.
“Seems not only I get boosts.” He muttered with a smile.
Leaving Tora on his shoulder connected, he patted the Titan Bull’s head and connected his meridians properly and slowly remembering the way it went and soon felt the slowly building energy coming from the processed shell he had eaten and taking several minutes to cultivate that energy, Ning finally walked over to his bed and fell into it after putting Tora down and went to sleep.

“Wake up master!?” A cheerful and childish voice was heard near Ning.
Instantly the sound of the unfamiliar voice startles Ning awake and he opens his eyes to find a cute pair of emerald green eyes with a cute childish girly face staring down at him. Her hair was also green and she had it tied in twin tails while she had a frilly headband. As he blinked he looked down and saw a black and white maid dress which was half way down to the knee.
“Who?” Ning asked.
“Hey Little Ning wake up or else you will be late!” Roared Elder Lu who walked into the room. Behind him was Ning’s mother.
“Master Lu? Who is this?” Ning asked confused.
“This is Ma Nanyun, she is one of the servants assigned to take care of you. There were 2 Elder butler 1 Elder head maid and 4 young maids sent to take care of your residents.” He explained.
By this point Ning had stood up and to his shock there other young girls walked in all of them were cute in one way or another and quickly they moved to aid him in getting dressed. They dressed him in a robe for outer disciples but this one was adorn a bit better to show the status as a Rider.
Even the girls had unique adornments on their clothing.
“Just so you know, if you ever get the urge to marry any of these young girls the sect will not stop you in making them your concubines. All four of them are riders but because they were found after several generations they had mixed too much with inferior genes and their talent is much lower than yours. Still their talent aren’t extremely bad but it isn’t high enough for the sect to put resources into them.” Elder Lu said
The smiling face of the four somewhat stiffened and Ning noticed.
“Their talent can’t be that bad?” Ning asked.
“It’s not that it's bad, servants that can become marriage candidates or even guards if you choose to cultivate them with your own contribution points, are usually red orange or orange ranked rider talent. But the sect only accepts Yellow and above when new blood is introduced. Don’t think their position is bad though, they are still riders but… well if they don’t marry it isn’t really good when marriage is brought up by the sect.” He said.
Ning frowned upon hearing these words. The sect controlled the marriage of the riders to improve their gene pool. These girls were too low to be disciples but just right to be used by disciples as guards or even as their mistress.
“Let’s put this behind us. Get ready because today all new outer sect disciples can go and get their martial arts. For Riders we get a perk where you can get one martial technique of Low grade Mortal rank of the same element of each Dao beast you have. Oh and since you hatched the little thing you will need this.” He through a small ring which had carvings of beasts on it and there was two creatures that held a strange gem with a cat's eye with their jaws. “This is a unique item we Rider's need for transporting slighting… bigger Dao Beasts that aren’t easy to carry on our person.” He said looking at the little bull. Although it was no bigger then a slightly matured dog it isn’t exactly easy to take around like Tora who easily sat down on Ning’s shoulder. “Just let a drop of blood fall on the gem then put it on your finger and it will adjust naturally to your size. Then to store a Dao beast you touch it with the hand the ring is in and than put any form of energy into the ring and they will be absorbed into the ring. This is a rare spatial ring which can support life which is an amazing rank treasure but they were further customize to only allow Dao beasts bound to the blood of the owner. No one can touch them inside there. You just need to send your spiritual sense into it and feel for the creature you want and send a bit of energy into the ring and command to release.”
“Thank you Elder Lu.” Ning said and looked at the maids.
They had long finished dressing him and so he walked first walked over to the sleeping Titan Bull and touched it and as soon as his hand touched it the little guy's eyes opened and it shook itself and stood up before yawning and letting out a high pitched infant roar. It looked at Ning and move its head onto Ning’s hand and seem to headbut it but there was no damage and it seemed to be a form of affection.
“Alright, I will get you food in a bit for now just stay calm.” he said and had him enter the ring before turning towards his mother.
Bo Rei who was elegantly dressed and was releasing an amazing aura of confidence.
“Mother broke into the Xiantian stage?!” Ning asked.
“So you noticed, it is all thanks to Elder Lu’s pill which allowed me to once more ascend.” She said.
“No need, one needs to have power to earn respect. Anyway I shall borrow this child for a while as I show him around to the different halls and get him his basic resources.” He said before pushing Ning along.
The two left quickly and walked down the mountain and Ning was surprised to find 2 others people dressed like him waiting.
“Good, now we have all three new recruits. This is a good harvest this time.” Elder Lu laughed.
The two greeted Elder Lu as courtesy towards those of seniority.
“Do you boys have a flying Dao beast that can carry you?” Elder Lu asked.
The three all nodded causing him to grin. “Great, than this will make things more interesting. How does this sound boys, lets have a bet between you three?” He said.
“What kind of bet?” One boy asked somewhat coldly. He had pure black hair, pale complexion and an air of noble arrogance.
“Quite simple, I am an Elder of the outer sect. Previously I explained that you all will get 1 Low grade Mortal rank martial technique to match each of your beasts. The bet is simple. You can choose either a Low grade weapon to match the martial arts, you can get one High grade Mortal rank martial arts for one of your selection, or I can gift you an Unranked Mortal Rank Light armor set. Of course this is on me to encourage growth.” He said.
The eyes of the three boys lit up hearing the options.
“Heh, it won’t be a competition.” The arrogant boy sneered.
The other boy rolled his eyes and turned to Elder Lu, “So Elder Lu, what do we have to do for the bet.” he asked.
Elder Lu pointed at the mountain they had come from previously which was the common outer sect disciple mountain.
“The first one to the Outer sect disciple management hall is the winner, of course I will accompany you all to ensure no one injures themselves. No attacking each other, no slamming into one another, just a contest of speed.” he said.
They all nodded and the old man grinned.
At once Elder Lu jumped and below him appeared his white crow which expanded to several meters before flying out several dozen meters before stabilizing and turning back. “Get out your little beasts. When I say, the race will start!” He shouted.
Quickly the black haired boy stretched out his hand and what appeared is a yellow bird and as soon as he touched it it grew to two and a half meters in height with a long wingspan.
The other boy looked over and did something similar but what came out was a little bat which, on contact, grew even bigger than the bird and the boy climbed up.
As for Ning, Tora flew off his shoulder and when he spread his Meridians he grew to his three meters in length and his sharp as sword fins spread out and Ning mounted him right behind his head in front of the wings where it was rounded only half way down the wing was sharp like a blade because it thins out and the tip is even sharper.
This didn’t escape the eyes of Elder Lu who noticed that Tora had matured and entered Houtian. Giving a nod he saw the three mount the beasts as best as possible without equipment or techniques to remain on it and got ready.
He chuckled as he wondered how well they would do. “READY!” He said. The three seem to get on edge as and slowly the aura of the three start to come out. “SET!” One the second shout their aura reaches its peak and the wings of the two others raise to flap. “GO!”
Suddenly a burst of Qi came from all of them as they used their Qi to quickly speed up but the two boys were startled when a strong whirlwind came from Tora who suddenly ripped through the air. An air funnel had formed and he caught the wind shooting forward. Of course, Flying Tiger Fish are gliding flyers who use wind attribute Qi to pull a flow of wind to fly as well as make their body light. With the addition that it entered Initial Houtian than it’s seed developed greatly last night it was able to activate its control of wind which was something most alpha class can perform to reach max speed quickly.
As soon as it shot out of the wind funnel it was speeding several hundred meters and Ning had bent over to not be affected and began to coat his body and Tora’s to deflect the wind and surprisingly he found he had some amateurish control of wind with his Qi reducing the drag over his body by some and quickly increasing Tora’s speed.
As for the other two they would not easily give up. A small trick like that would work once so when they saw him advancing so fast they took flight and with several flaps the Yellow winged Eagle and the Great Shade Bat rapidly picked up speed.
The speed of the Eagle was obviously top class. Eagles are referred to as the kings of the sky and it wasn’t a title that was easily handed over. With several flaps it was already at the speed that Tora was flying and it quickly stabilized since the wind coming off Tora was chaotic causing turbulence for them. “Climb than dive!” the black haired boy instructed.
Very quickly the eagle flapped and raised up before pointing down a bit behind Tora and flapped several times before folding the wings and the boy gripped tight as the speed of the eagle suddenly accelerated. Ning saw what he was doing and frowned but admired the boy for using an attack move of the eagle to gain speed.
Ning had Tora veer away from the incoming eagle since he wanted to stay alive more than he wanted the prizes but he wasn’t going to give up.
“Speed up.” Ning said.
A small glint passed through Tora’s eye as it roared and instantly the wind in front of it suddenly funneled and it burst forward and this time when the funnel collapsed the wind came into a tailwind for Tora and sent a headwind onto the black haired boy.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Ning suddenly gained several hundred meters and was halfway to the mountain when he passed over a cloud and suddenly saw his shadow morph into a massive bat and the other boy come out of the cloud. “Thanks for the lift!” The boy laughed and suddenly the bat beat its wing causing massive turbulence with its large size.
The sensitive flying fish glided so when turbulence came it would be affected greatly and Ning frowned as he told Tora to do a similar trick that the Eagle did and using the turbulence to rise it pointed down and made a small funnel to speed up and it closed its wings and quickly dived as if it was diving into the ocean.
Dropping several hundred meters in a few seconds the speed nearly tripled before it opened its wings while speeding along at this accelerated rate but much to his dismay when they passed a cloud the bat suddenly appeared with the laughing boy.
It was only then that he realized that the bat had some kind of shadow magic. It was a magic beast meaning it was specialized not in physical flight but ambush using the prey’s own shadow to appear.
While he was preoccupied a sudden eagle shout came from above as the black haired boy suddenly appeared diving down with a sneer.
“QUICK DODGE!” Ning shouted and Tora formed a strong vortex wind around him and he used that to barrel roll away from the eagle before Ning told him to dip down. They were only a few kilometer away and were high in the sky so now it was a steep dive which the eagle was in front.
When the three began to dive the two in front didn’t notice that the last boy was smiling before both their figures vanished.
The two continued to descend and similar to before a wind funnel forms and Tora bursts forth and like a bullet surpassed the eagle and opened his wings when he was only 10 meters from the trees and rapidly heading over the courtyards of the outer sect disciples as they flew towards the Management hall and with several hundred meters ahead the boy on the eagle could no longer catch up and so as the hall came into view he quickly flew into the open space that had the paved pathway and descended near the ground and finally flew over the crowd and stopped in front of the door.
Tora does a small spin in the air before landing. Both of them were huffing as the race was quite an exertion of energy. “I win.” Ning laughed.
“Hi, what took so long?! Hehehe!” A laugh came from the doorway. When Ning looked in shock he found the boy that was on the bat already standing there grinning while on his back was the bat looking over his shoulder.
“You…” Ning blinked and sighed, “I’ll never agree to a race against you again.” Ning sighed.
“Ahahaha! Don’t be like that! Where's the fun if there isn’t a challenge!” He laughed.
SWOOSH!
At that moment the large yellow winged eagle appeared and when it flapped it blew up a lot of wind causing the outer sect disciples to shout their complaints as the beast stabilized.
Ning looked up and saw the boy glaring at them, having withdrawing the meridians Tora returned to his small size and attached himself to Ning’s shoulder.
“You… how did you beat me in speed!? Eagles are king of the sky! And you were did you come from!?” He shouted at the two.
Both boys frowned, “Eagles are king only if they know what they are doing.” Ning said.
“As for me, I arrived here first using magic.” He said.
“That is cheating! I don’t accept this!” He shouted.
“It as an ability of my Rex, she is a Giant Shade Bat, he is a magic beast who can turn into shadows.” He said crossing his arms.
“Alright stop fighting!”
Looking up the three saw Elder Lu descending and landing.
Everyone was shocked by what was going on, the old man looked at them and laughed, “Boy good show of using your Dao beasts abilities, you unlocked quite useful abilities. Little Ning, good job unlocking the Wind control of your little friend. As for you, you need to quell your arrogance, here you are just another face amongst genius. Let go of the notion, I am the best, because there is always someone above you.” Elder Lu said.
“Elder Lu, is the ruckus out here your doing?” Vice Manager Tian asked coming out but asking respectfully.
Elder Lu laughed, “Sorry sorry, I just wanted to test out the new recruits and see what they can bring out with their flying beasts. If I caused some troubles I’ll have to ask for forgiveness.” he said.
The vice manager clearly knew that what this old man was doing but shook his head, “No need, no need. All disciples, as mandated, you shall receive 5 qi replenishing pills or 5 mana potions, 1 Low Grade Mortal Rank magic technique or spell, or for Qi users, Martial arts or martial technique. Rider hall disciples already know your arrangement, I will leave you in Elder Lu’s care for this. Now come, come!” He shouted.
The vice manager called several Deacon and instead of leading them the Deacon went in his place leading them down the mountain. For almost an hour they walked before the Deacon pointed to a large structure near the base of the mountains. “This is the Martial Hall. You can come as you want but you cannot take out the techniques. There are rooms within which can be rented for 5 contribution points on the first floor. There are 3 floors and to enter the upper floors you need a specific amount of contribution points or a barrier will stop you.” the deacon explained.
“The first floor does not have such requirements today but the following time you need at least 100 contribution points. Second floor needs 1000 and the third floor needs 5000. Similarly the inner sect is the same but the amount of points is needed is higher because the quality of things inside is much greater.” Another deacon said.
“Forget it, within the first floor are countless common rank and Ungraded and Low grade Mortal rank arts and techniques. There is no difference between common disciple and rider the techniques work for all.” The deacon said.
They kept walking until they stopped in front of the building. “Alright, the first floor is open to you all, you may get at most 1 Low grade Mortal Rank martial arts or 2 ungraded Mortal Rank or 4 Peak grade common it is your choice.” The deacon said. “Also no rushing!” He shouted even before the disciples began their first steps.
The deacon turned to Elder Lu and nodded and the old man looked at the three next to him and gestured to follow him inside. Following them a stable line without rushing formed and the new disciples walked in after them. There was not many, at most 30 new disciples so there was plenty of room.
Entering the massive library building there were several sections stating the rank of each given technique but it was split down the middle between Mana and Qi. There was a large wall splitting the building in half and two doors which opened into each section.
Those who trained with Magic would go to the left, those who trained Qi would go to the right.
The boy who won the match had decided to get an Ungraded Mortal rank light armor so he would get only two Low grade Mortal rank techniques. He had one magic creature and one Qi beast so Elder Lu told Ning and the other boy to enter the Qi hall, since they had only had profound beasts, and look around as he helped the boy find something for himself.
The other boy pushed his way past Ning sneering and walked in while Ning didn’t really care and just walked in after him.
Soon a young Deacon walked over, “Hello Junior Brother, how many I help you?” He asked.
“Greetings senior brother, I am Bo Ning, how should I address you?” Ning asked politely.
Very quickly a smile appeared on the face of the Deacon, “I am Jun Bon, you can call me Senior brother Bon. I see from your disciple robes you're a Rider? Can you tell me the two Dao beasts you contracted?” He asked.
“A Flying Tiger Fish and a Titan Bull.” Ning said.
The face of the Deacon shows a startled expression, “You actually contracted a Titan Bull? Isn’t that the same as suicide? I heard some people contract it with Red compatibility they still can’t control the unruly behavior!” He said.
“I had Gold compatibility.” Ning nonchalantly said.
The face of the Deacon showed shock before raising a brow, “Okay than it is your beast anyway. So those two beasts… One is pure Wind and Speed combo while the other is pure Earth and Strength combo. Do you have any idea for what you want?” He asked.
“Their combo makes it easy. A Wind type movement technique and an Earth type Body refining technique.” he said.
“Body refining?” Deacon Jun Bon said.
“The body is the foundation of the strength, to be a rider I already know that it will be hard to learn how to use my beasts at the start since I don’t know how to fight with them at the start to I want to increase my speed and my body strength first.” Ning said.
The Deacon looked at him and smiled by how smart this little boy is. “Did you know Flying Tiger Fish possess a sword art? It’s a wind type sword art which was made after some people watched them fight. Don’t you want that?” he asked out of curiosity.
“I might get that some other time since it really does make sense for me to learn it since I can see Tora fight in action but right now I am just starting and I want a stronger foundation since it makes all the difference later on or at least that is what grandfather says.” Ning replied.
“Good grandfather, he understands the meaning of Haste makes waste. Come let's go see that movement technique first.” He said and waved for the little boy to follow him.
They walked into a section for wind element techniques. For anything common rank be it upgraded to peak everything wasn’t even inside a jade slip and instead it was written inside a book. Ning would take one book and do a quick scan but put it down since it wasn’t what he wanted. As for anything mortal rank and above they were in jade slips and not only that but they were sealed allowing only a short description of the technique and what each stage of success would affect on his body.
Unlike how the Qi system is divided by Initial, Low success, High Success, Peak, martial arts were different. Some of them had just 1 level divided into the ranks above but others had several levels which needed to be mastered and these mastery was divided in a similar manner, Initial, Low Success, High Success and Peak. Only the last level had would have an additional rank which was Perfection where the disciple knows the martial arts to perfection and can even make it their own and improve on it or mix martial arts to create something stronger.
He quickly passed the ungraded ones and reached the section with Low Grade Mortal rank wind arts.
He quickly skimmed the titles. “‘Swan Soft Cloud Step’ ‘Eagle Conquering Dive’, he kept looking and sighed as many different methods were quite strange names but gave different effects like the ‘Eagle Conquering Dive’, it is a movement art which allows for high speed frontward dash but it makes it hard to veer. ‘Swan Soft Cloud Step’ is similar to his previous high grade common rank martial arts where it uses the wind to move around and is a very good dodging martial arts with 3 levels and when reaching the 3rd level a simple wind can help change the direction of their movement and their step is as if walking on clouds but unfortunately they cannot actually step on the clouds but if used by a Xiantian stage person they could indeed stand on clouds but then the expert will already be able to fly by using their Qi.
“Junior brother, I have found it something perfect for your Flying Fish.” Jun Bon said and held a jade slip out.
Ning takes it and sense his spiritual sense into it. ‘Sky Fish Sky River Ascension’ This movement technique has 4 levels.
Level 1: By reaching peak of this level one can feel and use wind and energy from attacks to dodge or change direction. Speed is improved by 5% and improved capability to dodge.
Level 2: By reaching peak of this level one can feel the winds and move like Sky fish in the flight. Speed improves by 15% and improves body flexibility allowing for many erratic movements.
Level 3: By reaching peak of this level you will be able to use the wind to form a small stream to form head wind or use the energy of another. Initial understanding of the Natural Law of Wind needed for this. Streams of wind can also be used to spread your senses and the skin will become very sensitive to vibrations in the wind. Speed improves by 20%, able to feel movement of the air through the air currents. Body is flexible like a fish and has improved movements while in the air with some small capability to maintain air time through Comprehension of the Natural Law of Wind.
Level 4: By reaching perfection one will be like a Sky Fish, minor control of the wind is possible and movement and even ‘stepping’ on the air becomes possible momentarily. Speed will improve 30% and you will be very sensitive to changes in the air around your body within a 20 to 30 meter radius. Reduces drag from headwind and improves speed by 10% when under tailwind.’
“Wow this is really great. A sky fish is like a Flying fish right?” Ning asked.
“It's a higher rank when compared to Flying Fish. They are usually several times longer and but more attuned with the nature of wind. I looked around and spoke with an elder Deacon who has read most of the martial arts here and he said that this was a martial arts perfect for a rider who possesses a Sky fish or any variation. Also a Dao Beast similar to Sky Fish can also learn it if you teach them. Dao Beast of High success Qi refining and above are intelligent enough to learn a minor technique like this.” He said.
“Isn’t this Low grade mortal rank? Isn’t that kind of profound?” He asked.
“Nope, not for a Dao Beast at least, the Dao Beast Seed Riders form naturally contain profound knowledge of the beast so if you and him learn this above the 3rd level you can greatly improve his chances to break through into the Xiantian realm since you improved his comprehension of the Natural law of Wind which is very connected to.” Deacon Bon said.
“Wow! I didn’t think there were secrets like this to being a Rider! Thank you senior brother!” Ning said with genuine gratitude.
“No need. I am simply sowing good karma.” He said.
“Oh Ning! There you are.” Elder Lu said as he walked in with the boy with the bat. “Lets see what you got.” He said and took the jade slip.
After a very quick scan he grinned, “Oh not bad.” He nodded and handed it back. Elder Lu looked at the Deacon who greeted him. “Good boy, make sure to take good care of Ning when he comes by himself later.” He nodded approvingly.
The deacon’s eyes shined upon hearing the words of favor, “Yes sir!” He said and bowed.
“Alright let’s go see your other one.” He said.
“What about him?” Ning asked pointing to the other boy.
“I also have an earth type creature but mine is a Earth Jade Tortoise so I am getting a defensive art. Oh right I never introduced myself. I’m Meng Bei.”
“I’m Bo Ning.” Ning said.
“Alright come on you two.” Elder Lu said.
The Deacon followed to help them and they walked into the earth type section. Elder Lu asked Ning what type of Earth type martial technique he wanted before quickly storming the Low grade area and pulled out ten jade slips for each of them. “Here, look through these. They are perfect for your Dao Beasts as well but it’s up to you to choose.” he said.
Deacon Bon bent over and took one while Ning took another. Looking through them Ning couldn’t help but frown at the names and descriptions, ‘Heavenly Bull’s Body’ ‘Tyrant Bulls Crushing body’ ‘Twenty Bulls Destruction body’. Each one was unique in its own way, the first helped refine and purify the bones and and marrow as well as temper the muscles, the second one was literally crushing body, destroy the body to rebuild it better. The third is just as cruel if not more. Each of them cause the Qi to rampage in the body breaking and rebuilding the body but the true effect comes from real physical damage inflicted on the body before he begins the process.
Ning frowned seeing each one and stopped on the last one.
‘Titan Bull’s Titan Body’ a Refining art created to refine a body like a Titan Bull. This is purely for Riders who Bind Titan Bull as the requirement of later levels needs the unique Natural laws this Profound beast unlocks. This Body refining art has 9 levels.
Warning, a strong body foundation is needed to start this.
Level 1: By mastering this level the skin while slowly harden and be similar to a newborn Titan Bull but remain smooth to the touch as a human’s skin. Skin will be able to deflect around 10% of blunt force.
Level 2: By mastering this level the skin will toughen further, muscles begin to refine, impurities in both skin and muscles are refined. Muscles and skin will become as strong as Low Success Qi refining Titan Bull. Skin can reduce 20% of blunt force and muscles can reduce 10% more. Body strength increases by 10%.
Level 3: By mastering this level skin and muscles will be refined and be comparable to a High Success Qi refining strength Titan bull. The skin will be able to take 50% of blunt force and gains resistance to slashing attacks. Muscles are further refined improving physical strength by 15% and will reduce blunt force by 30%
Level 4: By mastering this level, muscles will reach perfect refining and can improve overall body strength by 25%, muscles will be able to reduce blunt force by 35%. Muscles will become hard enough to block slashing damage from any attack weaker than High Success Qi refining. An attack sent at this stage will be comparable to a Peak grade Common Rank martial arts.
Level 5: By mastering this level, organs will begin undergoing refining, impurities will be discharged and endurance of organs will improve as well as body functions improving. Increased strength and endurance by further 5% as well as larger lung capacity. At this stage comprehension of Natural Law of Earth is necessary as the Qi to refine the body must be of earth element to protect vital organs. Advancement will not be possible without initial comprehension of this law.
Level 6: By mastering this level, all organs will be completely refined and reinforced. One breath can be held for an hour, blood vessels will be wider and cleaner, ability to absorb nutrition will be higher and more. Overall strength improvement rises by 30%. A single punch at this level will be comparable to an Ungraded Mortal Rank martial arts.
Level 7: By mastering this level, all Bones begin undergoing refinement. Impurities discharged and density of the bones will greatly rise and overall body strength will be similar to an Low Success Houtian upon mastery. When Qi circulates after mastery of this stage, an aura of a tyrant unique to the Titan Bull will slowly appear from the body.
Level 8: Mastery of this level, all bones will undergo complete refining and marrow will start to undergo refining. Only Riders can reach this stage due to the fact that comprehensive knowledge of the Titan Bull is required. Tempering of marrow will require intensive training and massive amount of pain will be incurred from here on. Training method is just like Titan Bulls who possess inherit memories to perform this step. Upon complete refining of both bone and marrow, body strength will be comparable to Peak Houtian.
Level 9: Mastery of this level, the entire body will have undergone refining causing the body of the rider and will directly push strength to match an adult Titan Bull. Training this level will be the same as training the Titan Bull through the Xiantian stage and advancement will follow directly the cultivation of the Dao Beast. The complete result of reaching perfection is body strength similar to a Titan Bull, the body will be impervious to slashing or blunt damage below High Success Xiantian, aura of a Titan Bull will be expelled from the body of the Rider when using this and a punch sent when using full strength without Qi is similar to a Peak Grade Mortal Rank martial arts.
Warning, innate weakness to magical attacks, especially wind or subcategories, will appear as these are weaknesses of the Titan Bull.’
Ning was silent when he read this and looked at Elder Lu, “So what do you think?” He asked.
“Why is this kind of martial arts Low Grade?” Ning asked.
“Because of the fact that it needs to be a Rider who obtains a Titan Bull Dao beast. Dao Beast with High Success Xiantian potential is usually only Outer sect disciples and Titan Bull are also extremely hard to train due to its headstrong nature.” He said.
Ning looked at the jade slip and at the ring on his finger and sighed. All the others were incredibly hard but this one was clearly the hardest. Still to possess body strength at that level, what kind of effects would it have? He wouldn’t even need Qi to fight since his defense against slashing and blunt damage below High Success Xiantian won’t even affect him. But to reach that kind of effect would take a long time but as a cultivator he obviously had time.
Seeing no other good option he took that one. To him it wasn’t something new, body training was the basis of all cultivation forms that even Magi who train mana need to do to be able to support the energy. He already did it once and this simple does it all over again with much higher effect.
“Alright, boy, take Ning to register these two with him. He will probably need around 3 days to completely memorize the two arts before he leaves.” Elder Lu said.
“Alright, come junior brother, I will lead you to the rental rooms so that you can memorize them. There is a sink for water inside but do you have provisions?” Deacon Bon asked.
Ning shook his head and the Deacon someone realized that as well. “I haven’t even gotten food for my Dao Beasts.” he said.
“Don’t worry kid, I will bring it in a little while.” Elder Lu said so without any other reason to not go he entered the 15x15 meter room and called out the little Titan Bull who was half a knee high and only 60 cm long. He came over and laid down near Ning while affectionately headbutting him making Ning smile.
He took the two jade slips, which had their seals unlocked inside the room, and began to immerse himself in the profound scriptures of both learning them for a long time even to the point that he didn’t notice Elder Lu entering and leaving behind a ring which was a space ring for the feed and provisions.
After one day he stood up, ate and began to train the movement technique for half a day and then started cultivating with the little Titan Bull.
