Characters:
(I will be releasing a character sheet page, once we have enough information out on each character.)
Bane - Our protagonist and aspiring dominion seeker. Emerging from a mysterious and modest background, Bane's early life was characterized by survival in the unforgiving slums. Through tenacity and resourcefulness, he eked out a living by taking on various odd jobs, all in pursuit of a single precious commodity: books. His hunger for knowledge and the escape it provided from his challenging circumstances shaped his resilience and fueled his ambitions.
Recently, a twist of fate brought Bane into the protective embrace of Eston Ironstalker, an influential figure in the Yobian Empire. The man recognized the potential hidden beneath Bane's unassuming exterior and extended an offer that would transform his reality. Taken in as Eston's adopted son, Bane transitioned from the grim realities of the slums to an existence that seemed surreal, a stark contrast to the life he had known.
With a past shrouded in mystery and no known surname, Bane embarked on a new chapter of his life with fervor. Eston's mentorship not only provided him with a newfound family but also unlocked doors to opportunities he could only dream of before. His thirst for knowledge, once fueled by books he could scarcely afford, is now nourished by the teachings and guidance of his adoptive father and mentor.
Arya Ironstalker- Girl Bane saved in Chapter 1. We don't know her abilities, but she had bragged about being a Tier 2 dual mage, that controls the elements: Fire and Light. Although she's proficient in using her fire magic, her light magic needs more practice.
Eston Ironstalker- The minister of defense of the Yobian Empire, also the father of Arya Ironstalker. His estate serves as the recruitment base (the place where recruits get trained) of the Empire's defense units. A tier 9 Dominion seeker. (Nothing is known about his tamed beasts, or abilities, just his rank.) Has grown to like Bane, and is willing to sacrifice a lot of resources to aid his growth. For example, one recovery pill costs 1 gold, and 1 gold can feed a family in the slums for a whole year. It might not seem like a lot, but there are 32 days in a month, and that's 32 gold invested in just recovery pills.

Lady Frier- Commander working under Eston. Trains units in the defense department of the Kingdom. Her level of strength is unknown right now.
Garrik the wanderer- Man in charge of training Bane, who seems to be a drunkard swordsman closely acquainted with Eston Ironstalker. Strength level unknown, but based solely on appearance, he looks stronger than Lady Frier, and equally buff soldier.
The maid- assigned to Bane as his personal maid, seems she's grown quite close to the boy unknowingly.
The dominion seeker boy- seen twice in the novel, trains with the same swordsman as he increases his strength and combat synergy with his beast. Looks to be about Bane's age.
The dominion seeker boy's beast tame- commonly known as a Stonewyrm, while in Bane's eyes, the beast is called a Giant rock lizard. The Stonewyrm is a massive lizard-like creature, towering at over twelve feet in height and nearly thirty feet in length. The Stonewyrm owned by the boy is half this length since it's still in its adolescent phase. Its body is covered in textured scales resembling weathered stones, and its powerful limbs are armed with formidable claws. The creature's eyes gleam with amber intelligence, and its profile blends seamlessly with rocky terrain due to its interlocking scales. Despite its size, the Stonewyrm moves with agility and is known for its ability to manipulate the earth element.
The swordsman training the dominion seeker boy- a mysterious man, who doesn't seem to struggle against the boy and his Stonewyrm. How strong is he?
The sage- teaches Bane about the world, and its powers.
Power system:
There are 10 tiers, with tier 10 being the strongest, each having 5 sub-tiers, so
tier 1:
level 1
level 2
level 3
level 4
level 5
This system fits with mages, aura users, and Dominion seekers.
Humans that have not awakened don't fit on this scale, they're just known as ordinary people.
Beast levels also work the same.
Nobody has any competitive advantage over another person in the same Tier; everything boils down to skill, and how well you use your abilities.
But, a Tier 1 cannot beat a Tier 2, and a Tier 2 cannot beat a Tier 3. But 5 Tier 1’s can beat one Tier 2. That gives a rough estimation of the strength gained in the Tier advancements.
Keeping it simple, so as to not confuse readers.
