Chapter 7 Training begins part 2

I focused my fiery ki into the sword and it turned ablaze. It hadn't forcefully stolen any of my Ki, however. Something is up. The man wasn't breathing. I focused in and I heard nothing, not even a heartbeat. That's when it clicked. None of this was real. I have no clue what was going on, but the clones of Oliva had no heartbeat either. So I knew this wasn't the real masked man who killed my parents. I also noticed that my tears have frozen over my face. I changed my soul into a fiery inferno and it evaporated off my face in an instant. I turned back into a chilling soul to keep control over the battle. I lunged at the man but he just kept his distance, He was much faster than me

“RISE!” I shouted. Creating 2 giant walls of ice. (Clap) I clapped my hands moving the 2 walls in the same motion. The man jumped over the walls leaving a fiery trail behind melting the ice where the fire was. This man was a perfect counter to me!. I had no other choice but to switch to water. Switching my adjustments as much as I am is extremely draining. I won't be able to Switch out of water if I do. Water as an adjustment is very ranged and defensive. But it's also the direct counter to flame! A close-range offensive adjustment. It's my only option to win this fight.

“Fire bat” The man raised his right and a vortex of flame was released. The flame condensed into a giant bat! I quickly adjusted into a flowing soul core. The ice of the ground turned into water flooding the arena.

“Droplet!” I moved water from an area making a giant sphere of water. I got into a baseball pitcher form ready to throw the 30-meter water sphere at the man. I didn't even notice that this is a baseball pun in a fight. This is the most energy-efficient move I can use with water.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

The man took a swinger's stance.

I took a deep breath and raised my hind leg like a pitcher and I shouted

“Fastball!”

The next moment before I could even realize that my attack connected the man was soaked in water. I threw the sphere so fast I couldn't react to its launch. I forgot about No’Beck, it's still on fire. This was the only time I connected with him. I put out my arms to create a 40-meter wave.

“TSUNAMI!” there is no way he could avoid this attack. But this was just a fake for me to land a hit with No’Beck. I hid behind the wave and then saw the man cover himself in a searing flame sphere. He planned on evaporating the water with it. This is perfect, If I can land one good hit on him I can win. The man outspeeds me. He also has more experience and skill. All I have is a vast amount of ki. I was a giant liability in combat. Ki amount can win you fights but the quality of the ki and skill. Or that is what Olsis said to me.

Time slowed down, I saw multiple paths to him but they all failed. This was all up to luck I had to distract him again. THAT'S IT! I'm going to double fake him, I'll fake a down slash into a real dropkick, and then ill drown him in water. Time was moving slowly and the man was evaporating a hole around the giant wave. I cocked the sword behind my neck and I was flying through the hold he made. There was no face only a shrouded hood with a black mask in the darkness. As I raised my legs for the dropkick something completely out of my predictions happened. He was going to take the hit. He was going to trade with me, He was going to punch a hole through me if I came any closer. Good thing that if I didn't plan on faking my slash I’d be dead. I changed the plan I was going to cut his arm off!. I swerved in the air watching as he sluggishly threw a punch at me. Time was slow and I could react to his every movement. I spun myself under his arm and I grunted as I swung my sword making contact with his sleeve. I LANDED IT! I cut his arm off. It went flying into the water. But before I could notice he had a hammer fist aimed at my skull. He fooled me with a trade. He predicted my every movement. He didn't underestimate me just because I'm a kid. This was the first time I've ever felt…Fear…

Next thing I know I woke up to me bleeding on cracked earth. I must have been out for long as the man was walking towards the door, with No’Beck in his hands! I couldn't feel my arms or my legs. I had no sensation over my body. I could still move, however. I must have been lucky to be able to move. As I stood up feeling no pain. Leaking blood out my nose, the man turned around. He raised a palm and a sphere of flame. I blew it, my moment of surprise was over. The water that covered the arena was gone as well. I had no way out of this situation. But then it happene. Olsis formed himself out of the sword and kicked the man across the arena.

“You failed lad, Now let's finish up this scenario.”

My suspicions were right this wasnt real…
