John worships the cross. John is known as a head case. He has a tight knit family unit, but all of them are loose. His children are all home schooled. His eldest is Jeremy, a recovering alcoholic. His middle child is Jane, an active heroin junkie. His youngest is Jake, he is 8.
John raised the family on his own, the mother passed during Jake's birth. John never gave up on his faith but his two older kids did. They live off the grid, in caravans and all. They grow vege in gardens, and get power from solar panels. Their dusty land cruiser drives into town, once a month. John has a gun, he uses it to hunt.
Last hunting trip John and Jeremy did, the pig got away. Jeremy's hands shook too much from withdrawal. John was very disappointed in Jeremy.
John was up late one night and knew that he couldn't entrust Jeremy with all that he had accumulated over his life. It was a tough choice, Jane? Couldn't be Jane? She'd sell all of us out in a heart beat, He often thought to himself.

Jane was a heavy heroin user. God knew how she got it, but John didn't. Jane suffered a fair bit, perhaps she dealt with her mother's death the hardest. After all, she was the only other female in the family. I can't be sure, anyone would be cut deeply with the death of their mother right?
Jane had a few stints at the psyche ward. She went to the psyche ward many times over many locations of the country. She'd wash up on John's shores soon enough. He questioned whether he had been a good father, he apparently was not.
He took no risks with raising his youngest child Jake. He enrolled him in a regular school. Jake wants to be a pro skater when he grows up. Only sad part about that is that John has no concrete in his yard, nor his rural location.
Best John can do is drive out to a patch of concrete by a local beach in a carpark. John's still wary of the skatepark crowd. After his first two kids and how their habits formed he figured it'd be a bad call. But what did he know?
Jake had promise, he learned from the eldest two. But he was a kid. A kid who liked to skate. He can't be John's heir can he?
No, I'm asking can he be the heir? I'm unsure if that's a good idea or not. Talk to John about it, he has no idea either. I mean to be honest with you John's looking a lot greyer than I have ever seen him. Or at-least he does as I lay my flowers down upon him.
