"What's that you chompin' on there?" Clio inquired, pointing at the sandwich clutched in Alecs' hand.

Alecs glanced over at Clio before turning his attention back to the sandwich in his hand.

"To be real with you, I don't even know what this is, but damn it's hitting the spot," he replied with a grin.

"That, sir, is a Gyros," she declared with a hint of pride in her voice, pleased to show off her knowledge.

Alecs munched on the food in his hand and looked at Clio with a puzzled expression.

"A what?" he asked, genuinely curious. He had never heard of such a thing before.

Clio rolled her eyes and spoke slowly, "A Gyros, man. It's a Greek sandwich with meat, onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce," she replied, smirking as if she knew a secret Alecs didn't.

"How'd you score that, anyway?" Clio asked, eyeing Alecs' sandwich.

"I copped it from a little joint down the block," Alecs replied in a casual tone, taking another bite of the sandwich.

Clio leaned against the wall and pulled out a cigarette.

"You know," she said with a hint of sadness in her voice, "that's the only thing I know about my origins."

Taking a long drag on her cigarette, she exhaled slowly.

"Hitch always said he'd take me to Greece when he retired," she said, a wistful smile on her face.

"He told me that no matter where you go, your homeland will always be special, even if you've never been there," she added, taking another drag of her cigarette and exhaling slowly.

Alecs took a bite of his sandwich and spoke with a mouthful,

"The whole world's painted in red and yellow anyway," he swallowed and shrugged, "Not sure Greece would be any different."

Clio flicked the ash off her cigarette and sighed,

"You ain't wrong, but I still dream of seeing Greece someday."

Alecs suggested, "Why not take a break and go? I'm pretty sure Elma would agree."

Clio responded, leaning more heavily against the wall.

"No, I can't," she paused for a moment, "I have a score to settle first."

"It's been over five years, Rocky," Alecs said, leaning in towards Clio with a soft tone.

Clio's posture shifted from a relaxed lean to an aggressive stance as she spoke with a tone full of frustration,

"Yeah, it's been five damn years," she threw her cigarette down, crushing it with her foot, "and that bastard is still out there, living and breathing."

Alecs attempted to lighten the mood with a joking tone,

"I'm not even sure that guy breathes though," he said with a chuckle.

Clio's tense shoulders relaxed as she leaned back on the wall.

"Yeah," she responded with a sigh

"Anyway, how's little Lily doing?" Clio asked shifting the topic.

Alecs let out a sigh before responding,

"She's doing okay."

"Good to hear," Clio responded with a nod, her eyes wandering off to the distance.

Suddenly, a voice interrupted their conversation from behind.

"Hey, Rocky," it said. "You've got to come see this."

Clio turned her head towards the window behind her and asked with curiosity,

"What is it?"

"Just come," the voice beckoned, a sense of urgency in his tone.

As Clio and Alecs walked into the room, they found Markos standing in front of a massive computer setup. The walls were adorned with five monitors, all displaying different windows and interfaces.

" What is going on Markos? " Clio asked looking at the monitors in front of her.

"Read." Markos said pointing towards the screen with a text displayed on it.

Clio leaned forward to the screen, reading the text out loud.

"Clio Agathangelou, no data available," she said with a furrowed brow.

Markos looked at Clio and explained,

"This is the official government website for bounty hunting, you know what that means right?"

Clio's voice was laced with a hint of resignation as she spoke,

"Looks like one of the big shots claimed the contract."

"Looks like they want to take us down," Markos said, pushing his glasses up his nose. "It's probably because of our last job."

Clio pulled up a chair next to Markos and spoke with a determined tone,

"Well, they're welcome to try."

"And what about me?" Alecs interjected, his voice laced with concern.

"Relax, man," Clio said, patting his shoulder. "They're after me, not you."

"Right now, it's just Clio and me," Markos replied. "But I suggest you keep an eye out, Alecs."

Alecs was gripped with fear, not for himself, but for his little sister. If a corporation decided to take the bounty on his head, it meant that everyone around him was in danger.

"Wait a minute, they didn't get Ringo?" Clio's voice was laced with disbelief. "That guy massacred everyone in that building!"

"What a lucky bastard," she added with a hint of envy in her voice.

"Ha, yeah, he is," Markos responded, his voice tinged with fear.

"Looks like we'll have to keep an eye on you, Markos," Clio said, her expression shifting to one of concern.

Markos chuckled, "Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself."

"Tafsut is returning soon anyway, so I won't be alone in this." he added

Clio expressed her relief,

"Glad to know we'll have some backup soon."

----------------------------------------

Standing up from her chair, Clio let out a yawn and stretched her arms.

"I'm exhausted," she declared before bidding Markos and Alecs goodnight and exiting the room.

Clio trudged through the thick mud that clung to her boots with each step, the sound of squelching filling the silent night air. The moon was hidden behind a thick blanket of clouds, casting an eerie darkness over the barren wasteland. She could barely make out the outline of her car in the distance, its sleek red exterior almost blending in with the darkness.

Her mind was racing with the news Markos had just shared with her. But instead of feeling scared or anxious, she was filled with an intense sense of excitement. For five long years, she had been searching for the one person responsible for ruining her life, and this new development could finally bring her one step closer to getting the revenge she so desperately sought.

As she drew closer, the glow of the headlights illuminated the area, casting a warm glow onto the mud that had been her path. The Redlight Volkswagen sat like a beacon of hope amidst the desolate landscape. Clio let out a sigh of relief as she approached the car, the familiarity of it bringing a small sense of comfort to her.

Despite the muddy terrain, the car appeared to be in decent condition. Its body was sleek and modern, with sharp lines and a vibrant red color that added a touch of life to the lifeless surroundings. Clio couldn't help but admire the car as she approached it, its beauty standing out against the dreary backdrop.

She fished out the keys from her pocket, feeling the cold metal in her hand. The jingle of the keys was the only sound breaking the cold silence. As she unlocked the car, the automatic locks clicking into place, she opened the door and stepped inside, the scent of leather and air freshener filling her senses.

Clio sank into the comfortable driver's seat, feeling the smooth leather envelop her tired body. She let out a contented sigh, feeling the stress of the day slowly ebb away. She started the engine, the familiar hum of the motor providing a sense of reassurance. With a turn of the wheel and a press of the accelerator, she was on her way, leaving the desolate wasteland behind and heading towards the promise of a warm bed and a restful sleep.
