Chapter 2: Exploring The Dilapidated Factory

Chapter 2: Exploring The Dilapidated Factory

Zalroth stood at the foot of the shutter door and stared up at the glowing blue GrabPack hand scanner; he clicked his neck as the blue GrabPack hand shot out from his tails and landed on the scanner. However mid neck click, Zalroth heard a system shutdown noise and when he looked up he saw the scanner had shut off, as the blue GrabPack hand retracted back into Zalroth's tails. A spark of electricity shot through the wire connected to the scanner. Zalroth followed the spark race through the wire until it went into a locked-off room with a large sign above it titled power.

Zalroth rolled his eyes before he looked back at the shutter door and pulled back his fist. He was about to throw a punch but the sound of light metalic jingling caught his attention. Zalroth glanced behind himself and instantly spotted the pair of keys on top of Huggy Wuggy's raised hands which made Zalroth chuckle to himself.

"Fine, Factory. I'll play your games for now," Zalroth remarked. Zalroth flicked his hand and a light gust of wind mana launched the keys off of Huggy Wuggy's hand and into Zalroth's hand. Zalroth unlocked the power room door before he made his way inside. Zalroth entered the power room and after a quick look around he found multiple miniature power pylons things (electrical pillars), along with the head of a toy dinosaur with blood around it. Zalroth paid his respects to the toy before he continued to investigate the room. Zalroth found a caution-taped coloured circle with an electrical stud at the centre of the ring.

"Oh, so those electrical pillar things were for that rewiring thing," Zalroth muttered, as the blue GrabPack grabbed onto the electrical stud before it and the stud lit up. Zalroth slowly walked around the power room and wrapped the glowing extendable arm of the GrabPack around the electrical pillars, which caused the bulbs on the pillars to light up. Zalroth powered up the final pillar and the room's lights sprung on before the GrabPack hand automatically retracted back into Zalroth's tails.

"Looks like anyone can be a technician with a GrabPack," Zalroth joked to himself as he turned and exited the power room.

Upon leaving the power room something became immediately clear to Zalroth. Zalroth instinctively glanced over at the mini stage that was now missing Huggy Wuggy. Zalroth amusedly exhaled before he returned to the shutter door and successfully opened it this time. The door fully opened and revealed a corridor.

Zalroth took a step into the corridor before something dropped from the ceiling and splatted on the ground. Zalroth looked downwards at the bloodied toy and he blindly stared at it for a few seconds. Zalroth paid his respects to it before he stepped around the toy and continued on his way.

Zalroth continued to explore the factory, making his way through a narrow hallway with steam-bursting pipes, and arrived at a loading bay area. Zalroth was walking on an elevated platform in the loading bay two area before he came across a box with a red GrabPack hand in it although it was on the other side of the room on an elevated conveyor belt. Zalroth saw that there was an orange crane claw inbetween the large gap between the elevated platform he was on and the elevated conveyor belt.

Zalroth looked around his feet and spotted a large square-shaped blue battery. He picked it up and also noticed the crane controls that were missing four power sources. Zalroth glanced at the battery in his hand before he rolled his eyes and placed the battery into the blue slot. Zalroth searched around the loading bay and eventually found the other free batteries. Zalroth placed the last battery into the crane control panel before the crane sprung to life and zipped over to the case.

"Ok, I see what they meant by doing puzzles the intended way feels more rewarding," Zalroth remarked, as the crance brought the case containing the red GrabPack over but halfway the claw malfunctioned and opened the case before the bottom half of the case fell to the ground. Zalroth rolled his eyes before he jumped down to the area below and retrieved the red GrabPack hand. Zalroth fidgeted with the hand as he struggled to attach it to the GrabPack but eventually managed to get it on the GrabPack.

Zalroth made his over to a conveyor belt door that had a red and blue GrabPack hand scanner and unlocked the door. The door opened and as Zalroth was about to climb onto the conveyor belt a thought crossed his mind.

"Wait, wasn't there a door in the other area that had a red and blue hand scanner?" Zalroth thought, and even used chakra sense to check.

"Oh, a door closed... guess my rewiring ran out," Zalroth remarked as he climbed onto the conveyor belt and followed it through the door. Zalroth strolled through the narrow passageways as he followed the conveyor belt.

"I'm pretty sure even Zuno's wife had more safety awareness than this place-," Zalroth remarked before his foot slipped and he went barreling down the slide made of roller-like conveyor slide. Zalroth rolled down the makeshift slide at a dangerous (for a normal person) speed and only came to a stop when he crashed into a barrier, which he ended up smashing through unintentionally. Zalroth rubbed his head and slowly rose to his feet.

"Hope that thing I hit wasn't important," Zalroth remarked as he noticed that the conveyors he was standing on had started to move. Zalroth let the conveyors carry him to where ever they led and after repeatedly having toy parts dropped on him Zalroth arrived at a large room.

Zalroth jumped off the conveyor belt and landed in the centre of the room. Zalroth inspected his surroundings using chakra sense and noticed the large Make-a-Friend machine. Zalroth walked around the room and came across a slightly large metal door with a toy scanner next to it.

"Another puzzle? Even I have my limits," Zalroth muttered with a slightly agitated tone. Zalroth knocked on the door and after hearing it was made of metal he held a hand out to the side. Zalroth gathered dark blue flames into his hand before conjuring a Raging Blade sword. In one swift motion, Zalroth carved a slightly wobbly circle into the metal door and after a light kick the part of the door Zalroth cut detached from the door, to reveal yet another corridor.

Zalroth dispelled his sword and once the door cooled down he climbed into the corridor. Zalroth strolled down the corridor while appearing to be mindlessly thinking about stuff. Zalroth was wondering if this company had any collaboration with the Candy Cats franchise but before he could complete his thought a big yellow right rocketed out from the darkness. Zalroth was barely able to block the attack with both his arms before he was sent flying backwards and went perfectly through the hole he made in the door.

Zalroth backflipped and landed on his feet before he continued sliding a few meters backwards until he came to a stop. Zalroth couldn't help but don a giddy grin as he got in a combative fighting stance. Zalroth watched as two yellow hands grabbed the frame of the hole in the door before they yanked the door backwards and ripped it out of the way.

"I was wondering when you'd show back up," Zalroth said snarkily as the being that the hands belonged to emerged from the hallway and revealed itself to be the towering Huggy Wuggy as he stared at Zalroth with his ever-present smile that was now adorned with razor-sharp teeth. Huggy Wuggy slowly meandered his way over to Zalroth before soullessly staring down at him with his motionless eyes. Huggy Wuggy slowly raised a hand before striking Zalroth with a freakishly fast blow that had enough force it cracked the ground beneath Zalroth. Huggy Wuggy tilted his head as he heard the sound of Zalroth smugly laughing as blocked Huggy Wuggy's fist with one arm.

"Hard to believe you can punch at all with such noodly arms, but I'd be lying if you were the first noodle-armed monster to pack such a mean punch," Zalroth snarked as he knocked Huggy Wuggy's arm away. Zalroth jumped backwards as Huggy Wuggy threw another punch that decimated the floor, which made Zalroth smirk.

Zalroth landed on the ground before immediately launching himself at Huggy Wuggy and drop-kicking him in the chest; Huggy Wuggy was sent flying from the kick and only stopped when he crashed through a wall. Zalroth landed on the ground and wondered if he kicked Huggy Wuggy too hard; however, Zalroth's question was swiftly stood up while showing no signs of damage. Upon seeing Huggy Wuggy's condition Zalroth couldn't help but grin to such an extent that it could only be described as sinister or maniacal.

"Looks like... I might have to actually put some effort into putting you down; alright, this is going to be a good...," Zalroth remarked as he placed his hand on the ground like an Olympic sprinter.

"Warm up!" Zalroth shouted before he lunged through the air so quickly he created a sonic boom that ravaged the items and equipment around Zalroth as he rocketed towards Huggy Wuggy.
