Zalroth (with long dark green hair/tail fur instead of silver, grey pupilless eyes, and nine tails; he has a pink sweater with a spider head themed hood, black hiking trousers, darksteel hiking boots, and two pink knitted hair ties[one tying the top of his hair into a ponytail and the other being tied at the end of his ponytail]) superhero landed in the middle of a large car park and it lightly cracked from the impact of Zalroth’s fist striking it.
“And I thought Lola was persistent but those seven menaces of hers sure have her beat,” Zalroth remarked as he stood up and brushed some dust off his hiking trousers. Once he finished dusting off his trousers, Zalroth looked upwards and stared in the direction of the large Intertanment.Co Toy Factory as a dense ominous miasma of mana oozed out from it.
"And here I thought they meant it sucked when they said this placed stinked," Zalroth quipped to himself as he slowly strolled over to the entrance of the factory. He manoeuvred his way around the multitude of totalled and rusted cars that littered the car park. Zalroth commented on how it seems cars had become more popular in the time he's been away before the whole apocalypse thing happened.
Zalroth eventually arrived at the entrance of the factory and stared at the toppled-over car that appeared to be covering up the entrance. Zalroth sighed as he strolled to the side of the car before booting the car and launching it across the car park. Zalroth proceeded to click his foot's ankles before he gazed into the rundown reception area.
"It sure is dark in there," Zalroth remarked before Dark Green Hika (Future) popped her head out from the top of Zalroth's hair.
"How would you know, aren't you blind?" DGF (Dark Green Future) Hika asked, which made Zalroth flinch while stating he has other ways of seeing.
"Right...; oh, could you do some research on whatever toy Kyūkyoku and the others wanted me to find?" Zalroth requested. Hika nodded and she teleported away before Zalroth crouched in front of the factory entrance. Zalroth poked the double glass door before both the doors snapped off their hinges and the door fell to the ground.
"Oh...," Zalroth muttered as he stood up and walked into the reception area. He looked around the reception before his ears picked up on the static emanating from a green box TV mounted on a wall, behind the reception desk. Zalroth activated his chakra sense and located the green VHS tape and the VHS player on the reception desk. Zalroth picked up the VHS and spun in on his finger as a golden flash appeared over one of his eyes. Zalroth rolled his eyes and placed the VHS back on the reception desk.
"I don't think it can be considered trespassing when nobody owns the place anymore," Zalroth remarked as he pointed at the green TV and shot a concentrated cyan/dark green mana beam through it to shut it up. Zalroth sighed as he turned and walked towards the closed door, which had a coloured keypad next to it.
Zalroth investigated the keypad and pushed one of the buttons before the keypad said green. He sighed and lifted a hand to the keypad before funnelling a low current of lightning mana into the keypad. Zalroth joked about how even if he knew the combination it wouldn't do him much good since chakra sense only shows things in a single colour. Zalroth eventually hacked the keypad and the door opened.
Zalroth wandered into the cluttered room that was filled head-to-toe with boxes and other containers. Zalroth walked over to a table that had a blue box TV and blue VHS tape on it. Zalroth picked up the VHS and placed it into the TV's VHS player. The TV sprung to life and started to play a video of an item called the GrabPack. As the video continued to play without any sound, Zalroth raised one of his hands and pressed some buttons on the VHS player until he hit the mute button, which caused the TV to start spewing out audio (including vocal instructions).
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
Zalroth listened through the entire video and once it finished the pane of glass around the GrabPack lowered like a draw bridge until it tapped the floor with a light ding. Zalroth picked up the grab back and stared at it disapprovingly.
"I don't need working eyes to know this will look goofy on me... but the instruction video stated I need it for doors and rewiring, whatever that is," Zalroth muttered with a hint of reluctance as he rotated the GrabPack around. Zalroth debated whether he should wear the GrabPack or just punch his way through the doors, but right as he was about to make a decision he got an idea.
Zalroth raised his free hand and placed it on the GrabPack before a magic crest formed on it. Zalroth smirked and pointed at a lone box before snapping his fingers and the blue GrabPack hand (left) rocketed off. The hand shot straight for the box and slapped it across the room before retracting back to the GrabPack. Zalroth confidently nodded his head as he lugged the GrabPack into his tails and shortly followed by it entering the tails' pocket dimension.
Zalroth exited the room and Hika reappeared on Zalroth's shoulders.
"Find anything?" Zalroth asked.
"Nope!" Hika stated as she placed her hands on her thighs. Zalroth was slightly surprised to hear that the Hikas were unable to find any info before he asked if they found anything clues.
"Well, we did find a whole load of super encrypted slash corrupted files so maybe the toy's files are in one of them," Hika explained. Zalroth scratched his forehead and defeatedly exhaled.
"Say do you see any large handprints around here?" Zalroth asked. Hika happily nodded and pointed at the shutter door with a large blue GrabPack hand-shaped scanner above it.
"Yeah, over there," Hika stated before she flinched when she realised the error she made. Hika apologised but Zalroth told her not to worry about it since he knew which way she pointed thanks to his mana sense. Hika awkwardly giggled while saying she'll get back to helping the other Hikas crack and restore the factories files before she teleported away.
Zalroth amusedly chuckled about Hika's embarrassment before he hurried over to the shutter door. He pointed up at the large hand scanner and snapped his fingers before a blue GrabPack hand shot out from his tails and landed on the hand scanner. After a few seconds, the scanner completed scanning the GrabPack hand before the hand retracted back into Zalroth's tails.
The shutter door slowly raised open to reveal a hallway that lead into a large cylinder-shaped room but the thing that caught Zalroth's attention as he entered the room was the towering Huggy Wuggy statue at the centre of the room. Zalroth stopped at the base of the small circle stage that the statue was on and stared up at Huggy Wuggy.
"So you're the mascot of this company; I think I saw a smaller one of you in an antique store for like eight hundred thousand Valts," Zalroth remarked as he glanced over at Huggy Wuggy's raised hand and Zalroth smirked. Zalroth lept up to the raised hand before giving it a high five.
"Heh, wonder who else would do that if they were here," Zalroth jokingly said as he landed back on the floor. Zalroth activated his chakra sense and unintentionally his mana sense before looking to his right at the shutter door with a blue GrabPack hand scanner above it. Zalroth jogged over to it but before he could interact with it he heard his hiking boot's laces come undone. Zalroth rolled his eyes and crouched down to retie them. While Zalroth was tieing his boot's laces, the Huggy Wuggy statue's eyes twitched and sprung to life before they darted over at Zalroth. Huggy Wuggy eye looked around but couldn't see anyone from his perspective before his eyes looked forwards again and reverted to a statue-like state.
Zalroth looked behind him as he finished tieing his bootlaces and commented on how he could have sworn he sensed something in a serious tone. Zalroth shrugged and stood up before continuing on his way.
