Chapter 1 - Waking up to an Unfamiliar World

Chapter 1 (this is more or less a mini info dump, sorry!)

Without much thought he grabbed the daggers. Within seconds he felt dizzy and collapsed.

........

He awoke to an unfamiliar ceiling again only this time his head hurt. Hurriedly he stood up and realised he was wearing a chinese styled traditional wedding garment, with the daggers nowhere in sight. The ring was still there though.

“Young master!” a young woman dashed into the room with a worried look and had the aura of a doting parent.

“Huh?” he let out a sound

He soon noticed the changes around him and assumed that he wasn’t in his own body anymore.

“Satsui?” she tilted her head at an angle that made her look rather cute

“Ah, Shun Mei…” he answered instinctively before scowling.

How did he know?

“Eh, I’m sorry for intru...ding…” her voice betrayed her and she instinctively kotowed with fear in her eyes.

“Get up and go” Satsui said. He scratched his neck, with the questions flying around his head, putting it into overwork. For one, he wondered why the woman kotowed towards him. Master given, but was he that scary?

*CLICK* he flinched. The sound came from his skull and made his body tremble. Feeling pricks all over his body he was beginning to become confused. Although the clicking settled, the pricks soon turned into a searing pain which invaded his body, . He was resisting the urge to scream as he knew something big was going on, and collapsed. He blacked out for the second time.

........

He woke up in another room. It was pure white and new memories were flooding his head. He could recall the past events of his life… His stature was a failure of the main Zhuque Clan. A complete embarrassment for the family, perhaps the only reason why he wasn’t bullied. This didn’t stop the fact he still had no friends, apart from a girl who cared little for strength.

Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

The reason he was a failure? He was unable to cast fire spells, which his clan were renowned for. He could only learn the support spells, which the family wouldn’t even help him with.

The Four Great Clans of Taifu were Zhuque, Baihu, Qinglong, Xuan Wu, and each had come to be known by a nickname that could strike fear in the hearts of people depending on the use.

The Zhuque Clan had “Rulers of the Flame”, Baihu being “Masters of Defense”, Xuan Wu Clan  were the “Riders of the Wave” and finally Qinglong were known as “Guardians of the Mountain”

Other than those Four Great Clans in the Taifu Continent there were hundreds of clans spread across the world, but most were afraid of offending the Four Great Clans - They gave gifts annually to a Clan in hope to please them. They were like ants in the presence of a Overlord.

So, I’ve decided to try with a Chinese themed story, but I don’t know too much about chinese culture (Smart right!?). I Was planning to try make my schedule Sunday and Thursday, but for now I think I’ll go with unscheduled releases while I learn about some of it.. I’d like to say I know the basics, but I really don’t ‘-.-

This could turn out a disaster. (I hope you still stay though)

If it does I’ll pick something more in my comfort zone next time.

I’m sorry about the mini info dump so early.

I’ve decided on a weak to Strong setting as well!

Oh, and i'll do Author Notes or something each chapter in the code format
