Chapter 4: Non-magic Summoning of Heroes

The fire dragon was awestruck, left in utter astonishment at how nonchalantly Eribyōko offered to give her a name. Eribyōko tilted his head and gave the mother dragon a perplexed look, which caused her to nervously twitch while mentally panicking if she had offended Eribyōko.

"You good?" Eribyōko asked with a calm voice. The dragon mentally exhaled and slowly bowed down to Eribyōko.

"Of course, Maou-sama. I would also be eternally grateful to receive a name from you." the dragon stated respectfully. Eribyōko placed a hand on his chin and heavily pondered something.

"How about Blaze?" Eribyōko asked as he lowered his hand.

"As I mentioned before, I will be grateful for any name you bestow upon me," the dragon explained; Eribyōko nodded his head as he listened to the dragon.

"Very well, I'll call you Honokijia," Eribyōko stated before a lime-coloured glow flashed over Honokijia.

A few minutes later, one of the walls of Eribyōko's throne room exploded into rubble when a large jet of wind mana pierced through it, leaving a large hole in the wall. Eribyōko carried the large white dragon egg in his arms while Honokijia slowly crawled into the throne room. Honokijia looked back at the wall Eribyōko broke through with a nervous expression but was slightly relieved when she watched it quickly restore itself. The duo walked over to Eribyōko's throne, leaving Honokijia a little befuddled.

Eribyōko placed a hand on the throne and sent a wave of dark purple qi through the throne before it crumbled into dust. Eribyōko tapped the dust pile, injecting it with a mix of green and pale pink qi into it. The pile of dust bundled together and slowly morphed into the shape of a large dog bed filled with low-heat-radiating pillows. Eribyōko slowly lowered Honokijia's unhatched child onto the bed before carefully setting it on the pillows and slowly removing his hands.

"I don't mean to sound ungrateful Maou-sama, but don't you think this is a little overboard, I mean you just destroyed your throne?" Honokijia said cautiously. Eribyōko shook his head as he turned from the bed to face Honokijia.

"Not in the slightest, besides, I never like the thing anyway; this way, it's serving a better purpose," Eribyōko replied.

"I... understand, Maou-sama.". Eribyōko peered around the barren and ruin-esque throne room; he raised a hand to his face and rubbed his chin.

"Perhaps, I should make this place more homey than desolate, don't you agree?".

"W-whatever you wish, Maou-sama," Blaze stuttered frantically. Eribyōko amusedly exhaled and created a marble table in front of himself using green qi, with the light of the green heavenly key emanating through the wall.

A few months later, in the halls of a castle-themed academy, Atlas (wearing his casual clothes) collapsed against a wall while heavily panting and wiping the sweat off his forehead.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

(Atlas is wearing a red shirt, a black hoodie with a golden eastern dragon on the back and a dragon-head-looking hood, black running trousers, and black running shoes)

"You should be more mindful of your stamina, bro," Nevi uttered as she stumbled up to Atlas.

(Nevi is wearing a white t-shirt, a pale blue elbow-low cloak with a pale yellow underside, fluffy white trousers, and pale blue hiking boots)

"You don't need to fret, Nevi, I didn't push myself that hard today.". Nevi slightly puffed up her cheeks and placed her hands on her hips.

"It isn't you who I'm worried about, bro," Nevi uttered as heavy stomps emanated from behind Nevi. The siblings glanced to Nevi's side as Kel-Ku dragged her feet, and the long sleeves of her sweater, behind her before stopping in front of Atlas and raising a hand to him with the sleeve of her sweater danging slightly above the floor.

(Kel-Ku is wearing a black turtle neck sweater with super long sleeves, grey cotton leggings, and grey crocks)

While heavily breathing, Kel-Ku emotionlessly stared at Atlas as she slowly moved her raised hand closer to Atlas's face. Atlas glanced at Nevi before at Kel-Ku as Kel-Ku continued to stare at him. Kel-Ku huffed before falling forward and collapsing on Atlas like a ragdoll.

"Why do you have to run so fast?" Kel-Ku muttered exhaustedly as she lightly headbutted Atlas' chest. Atlax sighed in relief at hearing Kel-Ku's words before he sat up straight.

"Well, I would've slowed down if you had told me you were going to join before I left," Atlas remarked.

"I didn't plan to," Kel-Ku uttered, making Atlas raise an eyebrow.

"Then why did you?". Kel-Ku groaned as she rolled off Atlas and onto her feet.

"You didn't send your essay-". Before Kel-Ku could finish her sentence, Atlas shot to his feet and slammed his hands against his head. Atlas went to rush back to his dorm room, but Kel-Ku grabbed his hand, stopping him mid-run.

"Hold your horses," Kel-Ku said as she waved her free sleeve-covered hand. She frantically shook her hand up and down until her hand was freed, revealing her holding a touchscreen phone. Kel-Ku opened one of Atlas' hands and placed the phone in his hand.

"Oh... thank you," Atlas uttered as he interacted with his phone. Kel-Ku placed her hands on her hips and pouted at Atlas, making Atlas playfully roll his eyes, "Yeah-yeah, I'll buy you some crepes from the bakery.". Nevi placed a finger on her lower lip before Atlas sighed.

"I'll buy you some too, Nevi.".

"I didn't even say anything," Nevi remarked with a big cheeky grin on her face.

"Don't act coy," Atlas grumbled as he went to put his phone away; however, a tune played on his phone and Atlas brought it back to his face. Atlas read the message on his phone and defeatedly sighed.

"Who is it/what does it say?" Kel-Ku and Nevi asked, respectively. Atlas groaned defeatedly as he placed his phone in his pocket.

"Teach... and they're sending us to that magic dungeon in the Avirahaka Continent again," Atlas uttered.

"You mean the one called The Ruins of Archania?" Nevi asked.

"What's wrong with that?" Kel-Ku asked perplexedly. Atlas sighed as he rubbed his forehead.

"It's who we're being sent with, is what I have an issue with," Atlas uttered. Kel-Ku and Nevi tilted their heads at Atlas.

"Justice Lover and Catastrophic Couple's team," Atlas added.

"Ohhhh!" The female duo hummed in unison.
