"Train now approaching platform eight is the..." the automated announcer said over the intercom before it was blocked out when a young adult(roughly around twenty) put noise-cancelling headphones over his ears.
"Yeah-yeah, the train for Tokyo is on platform eight, you've said it for the fifth time already," the young male voiced angerly as he glared up at the speaker while the faint sound of clattering began to echo through the train station. The male felt a light tug on his sleeve; he glanced downwards and looked at the little girl who he was holding hands with.
"Big bro Eri, why are we at the trainee car park?" the little girl ask as she looked up at her brother with confused puppy dog eyes. The brother begrudgingly sighed as he raised his hand to his sister before flicking her on the forehead.
"I've already told you eleven times, so if you ask again I'm going to swap all your underwear with matching sets that are half a size lower" the brother stated, with his sister giving him a judgmental glare; the sister continued to staredown her brother until he defeatedly sighed, making the sister smugly grin.
"As I've said multiple times already, we're going to be staying with your relatives while your parents are renovating the house," the brother explained as his sister's eyes narrowed when the brother said her relatives and parents.
"They're your family too you know!" the sister yelled, causing some members of the crowd to glance over at the siblings, as the sounds of the clattering became louder.
"Hardly, I'm just some deadweight they-" the brother managed to say before his sister swiftly climbed up the front of his body and stared deeply into his eyes.
"You. Are. Not. A. Deadweight," the sister said with a demanding tone while her glare became slightly unnerving as she refused to blink, signified by the small tears that ran down her face. The brother sighed whilst he rolled his eyes.
"Whater-" the brother muttered before abruptly darting his head to his left when the metalic clattering morphed into the sound of screeching metal. The brother's eyes widened as he watched a derailed train smash and barrel through the wall of the train station. The loud crash startled the sister and, as she could fully turn her head, the front of the train was inches away from her face before the entire world went white.
"Well... that could have been more graceful," an angelic female voice remarked as the siblings' consciousness fully faded.
A group of adventurers: a young tanned male demi-human sword fighter with goat horns, spikey red hair, orange/yellow gradient eyes and two swords on his back.
A pale young female vampire mage with goat horns, slightly long spikey purple hair, a left blue eye, a right yellow eye, and holding a staff.
A short green female goblin mage with black hair tied into two large pom pom-like balls, red eyes and a bow.
A fair-skinned male human tanker with grey hair, grey eyes and a shield.
The group marched down a dusty and an almost completely pitch black if it wasn't for the small orb of light that floated around the mage with the staff.
"Are you a hundred percent sure these super rare set of relics are actually here, bro?" the vampire mage asked.
"Of course they are, I think, or are you implying the royal oracle was wrong?" the fighter asked before glancing at the tattered map he was holding.
"It wouldn't be the first time," the goblin mage snarked as the group continued down the dark stone corridor.
"At this rate, we'll never find the boss chamber," the fighter remarked as he even joked about the possibility of the boss not even existing.
"Brother, don't jinx it," the girl with the staff whined as she bumped into the shielder, who had come to an abrupt stop.
"Looks like your brother's jinxes have been foiled this time," the male tanker jokingly remarked as he banged on a set of large doors.
"Geez... aren't you being a little harsh?" the fighter defeatedly asked.
"Hardly," the goblin mage coldly remarked. The fighter agitatedly rolled his eyes as he walked over to and placed his foot on the double door.
Stolen novel; please report.
"Yeah-yeah, I get it as a summoned hero and having an awakening that causes my luck to be in the negatives, I always get us into trouble, but it's not like we going to run into the Demon Lord or something," the fighter remarked as he easily kicked the double door open, revealing the barren and cryptid throne room. The heroes walked into the room and looked around at their surroundings as they made their way over to the throne at the end of the room. The vampire mage glanced upwards and became visually excited as she tugged on the fighter's sleeve.
"What's up?" the fighter asked as the mage grabbed his chin and directed his vision to the spot on the wall above the throne. The fighter got a smug smirk on his face as he spotted the six large coloured orbs(a green orb with a white heart insignia in the middle of it, a purple orb with a white skull insignia in the middle of it, a red orb with a white open book insignia in the middle of it, a yellow orb with a cluster of white stars, with various amounts of points, insignia in it, a lime and teal orb with a white analogue clock hands(hour and minutes) in the middle of it and a pale pink orb with a white galaxy shaped insignia in the middle of it) embedded into the wall.
The goblin mage started to snicker making the others glance over at her and ask what was so funny.
"I was just, three-quarters, expecting to see the demon lord or a demon of some kind, given a certain someone's track record," the goblin mage remarked, much to the fighter's annoyance, as the party entered the throne room.
"Don't count it out yet, they could be hiding," a callous male voice remarked.
"Don't encourage her," the fighter pleaded as he turned to face the tanker, who tilted his head when the fighter looked at him.
"I... didn't say anything," the tanker said confusedly. The heroes gave each other worried looks as they realised someone must be in the room; the heroes quickly surveyed the barren throne room but shouldn't see anything. The vampire mage scratched her head as the others continued to search the throneroom with their weapons drawn.
"For a group of heroes you all have a surprising lacking in basic observation," a shrouded figure in a large rugged black fur cloak, as they pompously sat on their throne.
"Rude," the vampire mage said before moments later realising the person she just responded to wasn't one of her friends; she slowly etched her head towards the throne and was greeted by a pair of black dragon-like eyes, with the white parts being a glowing lime, smugly staring back at her. The mage was about to involuntarily scream before a demon wing covered her mouth as the figure did a shushing motion.
"Let's see how long it takes for your friends to realise I'm here," the figure remarked as he lowered his wing from the nervous girl, with her frantically nodding her head. The two watched for, what can only be described as, an embarrassing amount of time as the other three heroes haphazardly searched every inch of the throne room, excluding the throne area.
"You guys are kind of hopeless, if I was evil I could have easily taken you out," the figure remarked as he itched his chin.
"You don't need to rub it in," the girl defeatedly mumbled, as the fighter eventually gave up searching.
"Maybe it was some sort of audio tra-" the fighter remarked before spotting his sister awkwardly/nervously waving at him whilst she stood next to the sitting figure; embers started to burst out of the fighter's swords but reluctantly stopped when his sister signalled to him to stop.
The four heroes stood at the foot of the throne as the callous eyes of the figure shone down on them.
"So do tell, what brings you to my domain?" the figure remarked. The fighter sighed as he glanced up at the magic orbs embedded into the wall before back down at the figure.
"So I take it you're the boss of this domain then?" the goblin mage asked with an annoyed tone.
"Indeed," the figure replied while mimicking the goblin mage's tone, making her glare at him and in turn making him chuckle. The vampire magic awkwardly gripped her staff as she tried to formulate a response to the figure's question.
"So... um... are those actually the Heavenly Keys?" the vampire girl asked as she gestured to the orbs embedded into the wall. The figure had an even so slightly surprised expression before he gave a sinister grin, causing his teeth and sharp fangs to glisten in the dark.
"Well, you are summoned heroes so it's only natural you'd be attracted to them but to actually answer your question, they are indeed," the figure remarked smugly. The heroes gave amazed looks at each other while they remarked it was a miracle they were actually able to find them.
"However... if you think I'll just hand them over I'll have to disappoint you," the figure remarked as he arose from his throne. The goblin mage gave a smug smirk as she pulled back her bow.
"Is that a challenge?" the goblin mage remarked as she shot her magic light ball, causing it to rapidly expand to illuminate the entirety of the throne room and revealing the shrouded figure (he was a super tall, super pale-skinned, long glowing lime hair that is tied in a ponytail, four scaly pale lime demon wings, a three large black dragon-like tail and two sharp fangs; wearing a tattered lime roman-like robe).
"It is as you say; however before we begin we shall introduce ourselves," the dragon/demon hybrid remarked. The heroes got into combative stances as they introduced themselves individually.
"Atlas Hevious, Hero of the Sacred Flames," the fighter stated proudly.
"Nevi Hevious, Hero of the Waning Present," the vampire mage stated politely.
"Kel-Ku Valtien, Hero of the Blinding Angel," the goblin mage embarrassingly said.
"Tobias Alexanders, Hero of the Iron Giant," the grey-haired human smugly remarked. The hybrid gave a smug grin as he spread his arms and wings outwards, to the point it obscured the throne.
"And I'm Eribyōko Wrath but you may refer to me as the Demon Lord," the hybrid proudly boasted before his aura erupted out of his body and raced throughout the throne room.
