Chapter 2: Spelunking To Plummeting Part 2

After a few hours of waiting, the shadow of the metalic ancient colossal sprawled across the lake, shading the yacht from the looming sun as Lola remained by the yacht's railing with her forehead resting against it. A soothing breeze blew across the lake, wafting through Lola's hair and making it dance about with her kitsune ears. Lola let out a long droning whimper, drawing out the last embers of her frustration before she once again forced her kitsune ears to disappear.

"Where is he? Yozu should've been here by now...," Lola mumbled. At the sound of a wing flap, Lola swung her head up in excitement before her mood immediately soured at seeing the originator of the noise wasn't who she was expecting.

"It's nice to see you're in higher spirits today, Young Master," Vivo remarked cheerfully as he landed next to Lola on the yacht's railing. Lola pouted, turning her head away from Vivo and quietly stared at the soon-to-be sunset.

"Hi..., Mr Vivo," Lola uttered as she lowered her head before slowly glancing at Vivo.

(Zalvivo is a tall young adult-looking male kitsune visage with a vague visual resemblance to Lola; he has spikey silver hair with pale lime tips, pale lime eyes, pale white to the point it's faintly cyan skin, four large crow-like wings on his back with the same colour gradient as his hair and six feathery tail wings with same colour gradient as his hair)

(Vivo is wearing a black ballistic-styled bodysuit armour, a dark silver plated shoulder guard on his right shoulder, and silver plate-covered dark grey combat boots)

"If you're wondering where Young Master Yokuza is, I did see him flying towards this direction," Vivo stated nonchalantly with the wind blasting past him as Lola swung her body around to face him.

"Where?" Lola exclaimed. Vivo briefly placed his hand on his chin and deeply hummed before his muted snickering joined his hum as he heard Lola huff in agitation.

"Ok-ok, I believe he got sidetracked with dealing with some red skeletons, but he should be on his way by now," Vivo explained. Lola slumped her shoulders, frowning in defeat.

"That just means more waiting," Lola whimpered in a sulk. Vivo mildly shook his head in amusement and hopped onto the deck as he wrapped his wings around himself into a feathery cloak.

"Then how does showing me how much you've improved since my last visit sound?" Vivo suggested. Vivo peered at Lola, before stoically looking forward as he caught a glimpse of Lola looking at her scarf.

"Ok...," Lola mumbled as she walked towards the middle of the deck, dragging her feet against the floor. Lola hung her head low before opening her eyes widely as something occurred to her.

"Wait what kind of red?" Lola said with a tinge of concern in her voice. Vivo tilted his head to the side while raising an inquisitive eyebrow.

"Is the exact hex impo...," Vivo said, pausing partway through his sentence as he saw the worry in Lola's eyes. He lightly exhaled before gazing upwards.

"If I had to pick one... I'd say...," Vivo uttered as he pondered on which to choose.

[Scarlet]

Lola's blood ran cold at watching the floating scarlet red text flutter around Vivo with him failing to acknowledge it, even when floating right in front of his face. The sinking feeling in Lola's chest continued to grow, her face turning paler and paler as she watched the floating text coil around Vivo's neck and was mere inches from making contact with him. The floating text briefly froze before blasting away from Vivo and morphing into different shapes.

[HAHAHA!] [HAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHAH!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHA!] [HAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!] [HAHAHAHA!]

[Made you flinch]

Lola glared at the wall of floating text as it laughed at her discomfort. The text briefly remained in the air before it began to melt and coagulate into a large floating mass of viscous scarlet red sludge.

"Is something the matter, Young Master?" Vivo asked unamusedly. Lola snapped out of her focused state and lightly blushed from embarrassment at ignoring Vivo.

"N-no, I was just... thinking about stuff, is all," Lola said half-heartedly. Vivo nodded respectfully.

"I see, so the events leading to the pathonia's appearance are still weighing on you?" Vivo asked with concern, to which Lola silently averted her gaze and itched her face. Lola meekly sighed before she felt Vivo place a hand on her head and pat her.

"Although, I'm incapable of easing your... misplaced guilt; as the last of your father's visages, you can always come to me or Zalina for aid," Vivo stated with sincerity buried under his stoic tone of voice. Lola puffed up her cheeks, her face turning faintly pink before she ultimately let out a meek exhale of defeat.

"I just... never mind, but thanks, Mr Vivo; I'll let either of you know if I feel like taking up your offer," Lola uttered. Vivo contently smirked and ruffled Lola's hair before removing his hand.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"On the topic of things involving scarlet, I best be off before the kijin sisters cause a ruckus," Vivo remarked as he unfurled his wings. Lola raised her head and stared at Vivo in confusion.

"Huh? But, what about me demo-". Vivo contently exhaled, making Lola poutfully hold her tongue and huff at him.

"You've already shown me what I wished to see. So, any further demonstration would be unnecessary," Vivo stated as he readied his wings for flight, "Take care.". Vivo threw down his wings, flinging himself into the air before he transformed into a four-winged silver crow and flew away with Lola watching. Left at a loss for words, Lola couldn't figure out what Vivo meant and silently shook her head.

"He really is Papa's visage, he's just as confusing... or would coy be more accurate?" Lola remarked.

"Well, if that Zalroth really was Ela's little angel then being a confusing person would be a given. HEHEH~"

Lola turned in the direction of the snarky, kiddy and girly voice with a distorted audio effect ringing through the air. She layed her eyes on the originator of the eyes and glared at the floating sphere of scarlet red sludge. The sludge hardened and condensed its form until taking on a humanoid shape. The hardened sludge vibrated causing cracks to form all over it before its outer layer shattered and revealing the being within to be Cerbichi (Entropy).

(I'm- I mean. Cerbichi is the embodiment of entropy[currently is a kid-sized/shaped faceless humanoid with a bold scarlet red outline and small scarlet red sparkles emanating from their body]; they have a pink sun-shaped mane of hair with bold scarlet red outlines filled with small red sparkles floating through it, glowing golden eyes with pitch-black scleras and glowing scarlet red pupils, extremely pale skin with glowing pink body parts [forearms, lower legs, feet, and arms all with bold glowing scarlet red outlines along with small red sparkles floating through them], and has a super long glowing pink energy tail protruding from their back with a large plant-bulb-like end)

"Man... how does that Ester manage with doing all these descriptions? ... but Abyss will be on my tail if I don't.". Lola gave Cerbichi a scornful side eye, crossing her arms and rolled her eyes as Cerbichi continued to whine about having to do Ester's job.

"Urg... this is such a drag..."

"Can you shut up and get to the part where you ruin my day with your pathonia," Lola barked unamusedly. Cerbichi placed a hand on their chin and groaned before snapping their head in Lola's direction, letting out a squelching snapping sound from their neck. Lola shivered from disgust at the sound Cerbichi's neck made.

"As much as I enjoy toying with you mortals... the last thing I want is to end up in the Realm Below or receive an earful from Abyss or Eclipse for messing up the task they gave I.". Lola raised an eyebrow, a cautious sparkle forming in her eye as she glanced around.

"And what would that be, huh?" Lola asked with a reserved tone. Cerbichi tilted their head in Lola's direction, resting it in such a way implying Cerbichi was condescendingly looking at Lola.

"You know all those stories your parents told you about their dimension-crossing adventures?". Lola widened her eyes slightly, taking in Cerbichi's words before their meaning dawned on her. Cerbichi's distorted chuckle echoed through the air, sending a sickening chill down Lola's spine. The chill only grew in intensity as cracks began forming on Cerbichi's face area in the shape of an ear-to-ear grin.

"Since you and I are on the same page then I'll have you and your merry band on to the other world once the Yokuza arrives.". Lola lostly blinked.

"Huh? But-". Lola managed to utter before Cerbichi gave Loa a shushing gesture. They smugly snickered before their form turned grey and crumbled into the wind. Lola grumbled under her breath, repeatedly stomping her foot against the deck as she dug her fingers into her biceps. With a moment of contemplation, Lola threw her arms into the air before glancing at her feet and locking onto the broken tile disc. Lola stopped her foot again, knocking the disc into the air before she roundhouse kicked it and launched it into the distance. As a shadow began forming behind her, Lola defeatedly sighed at the impending predicament.

"Is that nuisance bothering you again?" Yokuza asked as his male voice was accompanied by a faint female-sounding echo/reverb. Lola slumped her shoulders and swayed her arms moodily as Yokuza landed beside her.

(Yokuza is a tall teenaged male artificial avia/alkorian ice/wind elemental[ice/wing creatures with wings and horns]; he has slight long pale cyan hair shaped like a sun with an icy texture, crystally ocean blue, pale skin, large wings made of snow, super pale cyan bull horns with an icy texture)

(Yokuza is wearing a green fur face mask, a navy blue vest, a fuzzy dark green fur baggy trousers with ocean-blue five-pointed stars all over it, and darksteel[black metal boots])

"Calling it a nuisance, cuts me deep right here, Yozu," Lola muttered as she pointed at her forehead. Not entirely sure how to respond, Yokuza itched the back of his head and awkwardly chuckled.

"Isn't it supposed to be your heart that gets cut deep?". Lola tiredly closed her eyes halfway and raised her hands to her head.

"I'm saying you made me feel stupid," Lola stated.

"Ahh... I see, so is it a big nuisance?" Yokuza asked with a straight face and a serious voice. Lola raised her head to the sky and deeply inhaled before throwing her head down and contently exhaling as a small smirk formed on her face.

"Oh my gods... you're so stupid~," Lola uttered chirpily in tune with her smirk growing into a smile. Yokuza placed his fists on his hips and waved his head as he closed his eyes.

"I don't know whether to be mad or not, given you call me stu-," Yokuza stated. A weightlessness swept over Yokuza, filling him with a floaty feeling, and forcing him to shoot his eyes open. Finding himself fully submerged in a dark body of water, he wafted around until he located the abstracted pale glow of the moon. Yokuza deeply exhaled and unintentionally breathed in some water, leaving him to sigh even harder as he swam towards the surface.
