Zane awoke early in the morning to yelling. He grabbed his bow and quiver, running towards the noise. He found a small hill and ran up it only to find a group of three people getting attacked by small green humanoid creatures. He used analyze on the creatures. He saw three level 5 goblins, a level 4 goblin, and a level 8 goblin. He used the same ability on the people who were fighting. (Human Cleric level 4, Human Warrior level 6, Human Thief level 6).
'ding' Analyze has reached level 4.
He readied his bow and prepared to fire. He struck the level 4 goblin in the neck with an arrow, killing it. After the first drop, the rest of the goblins all attacked the warrior, killing him. The cleric screamed as they started towards her. He readied a few more arrows and released them, one after another, striking each level five goblin in the head or chest, killing the three of them. The last arrow he released hit the level 8 in the shoulder, causing it to turn towards him. He slid down the hill towards them and shot another arrow, hitting the goblin in the leg, slowing it down, and one more arrow in the eye, causing its death. Right then, the thief started towards him with his blade drawn. Zane readied an arrow and aimed it straight at the thief.
"I'd recommend you stop moving now, or the next arrow will find your heart."
"Easy there, stranger. If I was you, I'd put that bow down before you end up dead. I am at a higher level than you and would have no issue killing you. Drop all of your gear and leave, and you won't get hurt." the thief said as he reached behind his back.
Zane released the arrow and struck the thief in the heart, killing him. He walked over to the body and inspected what he had, finding a throwing knife he was about to use. He then looked at the cleric who was trying to hide.
"Do I need to worry about you as well?"
"No, please don't hurt me; those two attacked my party and made me come with them. We were just down the road when they found us. They... They killed the rest of my party."
"What is your name? My name is Zane."
"My name is Zoe. Thank you for saving me." She moved her blonde hair out from in front of her eyes, showing an incredible green color and a look of relief.
Zane received a prompt as he noticed the wisp hovering over the warrior's body, the warrior was a large man with black hair, a beard, and a scar across his left eye.
'ding' You have now unlocked the option to put the soul of the wisp into a body of his choice. Will you proceed?
"Is that the one you want, Arin?"
"Yes, it will work."
Zane mentally chose to accept the prompt. Right then, a green light started emitting from his hands. He pointed his hand at Arin's wisp and thought about pushing the soul into the warrior's body. He noticed his health falling fast but then started to increase. He wasn't sure how this worked, so he focused entirely on filling the body with the wisp that was once his best friend so that he may have the best possible chance at a life in this new world. After a few minutes of this, another prompt popped up.
'Transfer successful. The maximum amount of health was sacrificed, allowing the soul unique options when it awakens.
It was then that Zane noticed other prompts. He thought about seeing them, and they started popping up.
'ding' You have leveled Archer to level two.
.....................
'ding' You have leveled Archer to level four. You have received fifteen skills points.
-----
'ding' You have leveled Necromancer to level two.
.....................
'ding' You have leveled Necromancer to level ten. You have received forty-five skill points.
'ding' You have unlocked the skill reanimate dead.
'ding' You have unlocked the general skill of pain tolerance. You have experienced quite the loss of health, which has caused you to build a tolerance for the pain it brings.
'ding' You have leveled pain tolerance to level five.
"Wow, those are huge upgrades," he said, looking around and seeing Zoe, who was obviously worn out. I take it you were the reason my health went back up?"
"Yes, I thought you would die if I didn't help."
"I guess my skill drains my health quite drastically. Do you have enough mana for another test?"
"I think so. That drained about half of my mana, so I should be okay if you want to try something."
Zane smiled as he looked at the body of the thief. He walked over and pulled the arrow out of his chest. He looked at the body and thought reanimate dead. Immediately, his hands glowed green, and his health started falling. After losing about half his health and mana, his body stood up and stared at him.
'ding' Reanimate dead has reached level 4.
He now had the option to change the thief's name. The existing name was Corvyn. He decided to keep the name. He thought about what he could do and decided a simple test was needed.
"Search the bodies, gather anything, and store it in your pack. I also want the bones from the goblins. There are also bodies down the road; collect them as well. After that, meet me at the camp just over that hill next to the stream."
Corvyn nodded and went straight to work, collecting items from the goblins.
'ding' You have unlocked a new ability: control undead. You can now control the undead you raise.
After collecting all the things, Corvyn started carving into the goblins. At that point, Zane walked over to the warrior and used analyze. (Arin - Warrior level 6).
"That's a good sign," Zane said as he lifted Arin over his shoulder and started walking towards camp. He looked over at Zoe, nodding towards camp.
"You are welcome to join us, of course."
"I think I will. Thank you."
Zane and Zoe started towards camp together. When they arrived, Zane laid Arin in the tent, sat near the campfire, and thought about his status again.

Zane used analyze and thought about each of the different stats.
-Strength determines melee attack power and how much you can carry.
-Dexterity determines quickness, reflexes, hand-eye coordination, and overall grace in movements. This skill will also determine how much ranged damage you do.
-Constitution determines your health and how much damage you can take
-Endurance determines how much stamina you have and how long you can do something.
-Intelligence determines magic damage and how quickly you can figure things out
-Wisdom determines how much mana you have and how quick it regenerates.
Zane considered everything he could do and which stats would be most important. He decided that all of the stats were important and that each was important and needed. Strength is the least important of them as of right now. He put 10 points into each of his stats and thought about just his stat points themselves.

"Thank you for saving me. Healers aren't very common anymore, and we tend to get taken advantage of or killed because we are weak." Zoe said while looking at the ground.
"There is no need to thank me. I would make the same decision again. I am sorry that happened to you. If you don't mind me asking, were you close to your party?"
"Not really, no; we had just left on a mission to kill the goblins when we ran into the two you killed. I thought finding a party could help me, but I was wrong."
"So you say you left on a mission. Who sent you?"
"We were commissioned by the adventurers guild not far from where we are now. If you would like, I can take you in the morning."
"I would appreciate that. Rest now, and I will look for food for us."
Zane decided to analyze Zoe again. (Zoe Cleric level 5) He wondered about her stats and what each could be. Corvyn came walking into camp carrying two bodies. He set the bodies down on the ground on the other side of the campfire. He had a large pack attached to his back that he set next to the tent. He then sat down next to the fire, added what looked like a grill over it, and put meat on the top to start cooking. He then looked at Zane as if asking what was next. Zane looked at the pack and noticed the bones sticking out. He thought he would have to clean those, and Corvyn instantly got up, grabbed the pack, headed to the stream they were at, and started cleaning the bones.
Zane watched the food cooking, amazed that he didn't even have to speak the order to Corvyn.
'ding' You have leveled control undead to level 2. You now have more control over the undead you create.
After about 5 minutes of the meat cooking, he attempted to flip the meat on the grill and burned his hand.
'ding' You have unlocked the general skill, fire resistance. Fire resistance allows you to withstand fire at greater heat before you are burned.
He shook his hand and returned to flipping the meat the rest of the way. After the meat was entirely cooked, he got Zoe so she could also eat. They both sat and ate silently for a bit and after they had finished, she noticed the burn on his hand.
"You burned your hand; let me take a look at it," she said, taking Zane's hand.
"Yeah, it happened while I was cooking, but I am okay," he said as a green light enveloped his hand, instantly healing the burn and returning his skin to normal.
"Thank you for that."

Arin awoke feeling extremely weak still. He had a headache and felt tired. He was confused as to where he was and remembered staring at a body as a wisp and then being able to choose to enter it. When he did, the last thing he remembered was a green light coming from Zane's hands, then nothing. Now awake, he sat up and noticed strange writing in his vision. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he might still be asleep, but instead of going away, the writing became more focused."
'Ding' You have chosen a body, and the Necromancer tried his very best, giving you unique choices. Please provide the one that resurrected you two skills from the list below. Be warned these choices will also determine your class.
* Soul link: Any skill you or your thralls earn can be shared.
* Soul shred: This allows for the Necromancer to release the souls he has collected to do immense damage to any creature once.
* Soul theft: This allows the Necromancer to steal anything's soul. (This ability can only be used once per day)
* Turn undead: This causes any undead at the same level or lower within 50 feet of the Necromancer to be permanently turned into their thrall.
* Death Rend: This allows the Necromancer to summon a raging skull that bounces between enemies.
Arin thought for a bit about what the best skills he could give Zane. They all seemed incredible, but two of them really synergized together. He made his selection and was given another prompt.
'ding' You have unlocked the unique class, Abyssal Knight. You are an emissary that even Death himself couldn't keep. This has given you some special abilities.
* Death standing(Passive): The lower your health, the less damage you take, and the more you dish out.
* Leader of the dead (Passive): You are the leader of your Necromancer's army. This will double your health and damage for every resurrected being under your Necromancer's control.
* Death's visage: You cause anything that looks at your true face to be afraid.
* Death's Reversal (Passive): If you were to take damage that would kill you, you instead heal for the amount of damage given, instantly sending the attack back at the one who attacked you, dealing substantially more damage.
Arin was dumbfounded looking at these skills. He was unkillable, and the more thralls Zane had, the stronger he would be. They would have to work on that as soon as possible. He thought of what his status might be and was prompted even more writing.

He already had points in strength, constitution, and endurance. He thought his health was a bit high but realized quickly that Zane must have already activated his leader of the dead perk. He noticed a fire outside his tent, with food on it, and realized how hungry he was. He crawled out of the tent and sat at the campfire, noticing Zane and a girl sitting beside the fire. Her back was towards him, and she was between him and Zane; he figured he would use this to his advantage and decided not to say anything.
* * * *
Just then, a splitting pain shot through Zane's head, causing him to pull his hand away from Zoe and hold his head. This only lasted for a few moments when new prompts appeared in his view.
'ding' You have unlocked a unique skill for Necromancer. Soul link has been acquired. Soul link allows any skill your thralls earn to be shared.
'ding' You have unlocked a unique skill for Necromancer. Turn undead has been acquired. Turning undead causes any undead the same level or lower within 50 feet of the Necromancer to be permanently turned into their thrall.
"I hope you like those. I got some choices that I could give you when I woke up. Grabbed the best ones I could find." a strange voice said, causing Zane to lean around Zoe. The body Arin's wisp was put in was now sitting at the fire, pulling meat off of it. Zane used analyze on it. (Arin - Abyssal Knight level 8).
"Arin! How are you feeling?"
"Honestly, I feel like death warmed over, but I think I will be okay," he said between bites.
"I am glad to hear that, and I see you got a class change. Anything special?"
"I have a Unique class, Abyssal Knight. It says that even death couldn't keep me, giving me some special abilities. One is that the lower my health is, the more damage I can take and dish out. There are a few others, but we can go over those later."
"That's awesome," Zane said as he noticed Arin looking toward Zoe. "By the way, this is Zoe. She was in some trouble. I got her out of it, and she will travel with us for a bit. Zoe, that is Arin, a long-time friend back from the dead now."
"Nice to meet you, Zoe."
"Nice to meet you, too."
Zane looked around. "We need to expand the camp a bit. We got those other packs from the others. Let's see what we have and go from there."
Zane walked over to the two bodies lying on the ground and used identity on both. (Human Tamer level 4, Human Warrior level 4)
'ding' Analyze has reached level 5.
He thought about reanimating and using them but thought Zoe might not take that well. He would have to ask her about that later. He opened the first pack, finding two more canvas tents, then opened the other, finding two bedrolls and a few books on foraging, smithing, and construction. He decided he could use those later and put them in his pack. He showed the tents and bedrolls to Arin and Zoe.
"Let's set up these tents and rest. When we wake, we will head towards the town and see how this will all work."
Zane constructed the tents like he had his, keeping the entrances facing the campfire. He put the bedrolls in and went to lie down in one, laying his bow and quiver down to the side, using his pack as a pillow. He fell asleep, thinking that the camp may need to be maintained.
