War
The art humanity developed the most as they grew from apes to modern men.
Destruction
The act humanity revelled in without a care.
If you were to take a look in human history, at any point in time you would find a war. Be it for greed, hate or love, it would be wagged no matter what. They made an art out of it, wrote book, poetry and made songs out of it. As they say, the more you practice it, the more honed it become.
As time passed, they discovered new ways of making wars. New ways to kill or destroy. For humanity hunger for blood was and is limitless, so is their imagination to see it flow.
Yet, for all the destruction, carnages or horrors this brought them, it also made them advance further than ever, making them grow beyond their world. In almost no time, they reached the starts and face the unknown.
Humanity oldest dream to sail the vast ocean of stars was accomplished and they thought themselves ready for anything coming at them as they were prepared. How foolish of them.
Three time, Humanity almost disappeared three time because of the dangers they were prepared to face.
In the year 500 F.S.J (First Space Journey), humanity faced its first doom.
The first colony they made was without surprise on the moon and everything seemed to go well for humanity as they started to expend it. Until they discovered the Virus that is. They discovered too late and when they finally did, it was already spreading on earth.
Infected men and women were acting like berserker from the story of old and attacked everything non contaminated on view.
Their efforts to stop it or contain it were fruitless and humanity almost reverted to the dark age because of it.
Were it not for the work of one woman, one genius biologist, doctor Eleanor Maynard Daly, it would have been the end of a dream for the human race. After years of hard work, twenty to be exact, she managed to create what was commonly called later the EMD ‘hope’ serum. A cure for the sickness that would have seen the end of her people.
It took ten more years to spread it and save the measly fifty millions people left.
Even so, they did it. Humanity survived and they managed to pass this first impossible challenge.
In a surprising turn of event, the serum did not just cure humanity. It improved them. It took time for the scientists left to finally have an accurate list of the change that occurred because of it but when they did, it cemented the name hope for the serum.
Because of it, every human injected would be stronger, taller, smarter and would see it’s lifespan increase. They had yet to see by how much it would increase it but one of the scientist jokingly said they were now basically elf, minus the pointy ears.
In the year 812 F.S.J, they met their second challenge.
Maybe because of their brush with extinction, or a desire to be more, humanity made every effort to repopulate and spread in their solar system.
Wiser from their experience, they put new protocols in place to ensure no new virus or sickness would spread like the berserker plague did. It seemed to work and so, they began their journey as the explorer they saw themselves as, colonising all planets, establishing travel path between them and developing their technologies to make them liveable. No planet was spared from this effort.
Soon, every planet had at least a colony on it. Even Venus had a colony on it. Humanity mostly made it to prove themselves they could.
Their hold on the solar system strong, they decided to see more, find more and sent scouting ship in the unknown. They merely hoped to find new worlds to occupy or mine. They did not think of anything else when they began those missions.
A year later, and a lot of luck considering the size of the universe, one of the scout ship sent a message. We are not alone. The scout ship Viking somehow made first contact with an alien race in merely one year of exploring.

The first contact was peaceful and so were the other contacts they had with this new race.
Humanity, as wise as they claimed to be forgot one thing.
“Igitur qui desiderat pacem, preparet bellum”
“Therefore let him who desires peace prepare for war” Plubius Flavius Renatu’s tract De Re Militari
They were not ready when this new species attacked them using superior and unknown technology and declared war on them. For every ship they managed to destroy, three of humanity’s would fall in battle. Heavily outgunned, humanity was slowly but surely pushed back. The only saving grace, their ground soldiers that managed to keep their position to gain time desperately needed to evacuate civilians and destroy any information that could be used against them.
After months of brutal fights, be it in space or worlds, humanity developed its first world destroying weapon. The Energy Modulator Cannon 2 or E.M.C 2 as an inside jock.
Derived from the magnetic accelerator cannon, this weapon amplified the energy output of a mini nuclear explosion to send a lone projectile of energy contained in an energy field that would disappear a few second after being fired and liberate as much energy as twenty Tsar Bomba. Said projectile could theoretically reach a world centre and destroy it from within.
This project once completed and mounted on the ship twilight of gods proved to be the game changer he was designed to be. Every battle he was deployed in ended in humanity victory and when more ships were dotted with it, the war tide turned.
They pushed and pushed, destroying every alien world they crossed. It was a genocide. After ten long and gruelling years, humanity won at a great cost but win they did. Learning from this, they replied themselves on their solar system and fortified it. Making it as secure as they could before trying to explore again.
As such, they developed their spaceship in three categories:
The frigate
400m long, 90m large and 50m high.
Made for dogfight and take the brunt of the damages, they were built for resisting heavy fire and ambush. Manned with only fifty crew members, it was a jewel of enginery and development.
Armaments:
26 turrets firing 200mm ammo of varying type.
1 EMP generator
1 EMC²
The Behemoth
1km long, 300m large and 100m high.
Made to carry both infantry and vehicle, it’s devoid of any weaponry. Instead, multiple shield generator and a robust armour of multiple alloy were designed to make it a flying fortress.
It proved necessary when humanity found itself enable to evacuate civilian and move their troops properly during the war.
The dreadnought
5km long, 2km large and 1km high.
Heavily armed and protected, this ship was designed to resist and destroy anything in front of him. Used as humanity representation of might make right, they only managed to build four of them.
The Camelot, first of his category and after king Arthur legendary castle.
The Sitting Bull, named after a legendary figure in human history, leader of a Sioux tribe.
The Caesar, named after an emperor that made the oldest continent on earth it’s kingdom.
The Yue Fei, named after a well-known commander rumoured to never have lost a battle.
Each of them were armed with 500 turrets able to fire 200mm rounds, two EMC² and five squadrons of ten interceptors (small fighters).
They barely had enough men to field their ships but they felt secure enough with weapons able to destroy world.
In the year 2500 F.S.J, they met their last challenge
Humanity went further than they ever dreamed of. They mastered space travel on level they never imagined when they started, their knowledge on energy reached level they would have claimed as magic when they were still normal and their society as a whole was nothing like they were before.
Energy stopped being a problem and so were money and food. As such they began to explore new domains. Cloning was one of them and like everything they did, they went beyond what they expected when they began. From frogs to new beings, they created the celts. Being born out of technology and humanity flesh. They were shaped to be the ultimate servants, being able to interface with technologies as easy as they breathed.
They had many use, from the noblest such as ship captain to the lowest like pleasure toy.
Yet, humanity as a whole did not like having any celt living like normal humans around them so, after much deliberation, they built a space station to house them out of their view. They did not name it but the celts did. Avalon.
It took time but the spark of revolt began to appear within the celts and in 2500 the great plan was put in action. Every celts rebelled and fled to Avalon. Those unable made the ultimate sacrifice and took as much human as they could down with them.
It took humanity by surprise and they reacted too late. The celts managed to steal more than twenty frigates, two behemoths and the Camelot while destroying the facility used to create more of them. They fled, moving their space station with the Behemoths and protecting it with the frigates while covering their back with the Camelot.
Enraged, humanity gave chase and thus, the war began.
