"Strange I don't remember these anchors from my past life, but it feels strangely familiar..! look at the time I'm late for my interview!"
I was already late so I ran through the streets of London until I caught a bus.
Midway through, I noticed everyone looking up to the sky through the windows and so I followed suit as well only to find an amazing sight of three comets falling at the same time.
"Wow! Three at the same time! this has to be a sign of good things!" someone said.
"This means everything will be lucky today!" someone exclaimed.
People were amazed and couldn't stop looking at the comets falling, I felt strangely nostalgic of the comets even though I didn't remember them from my past life either.
"Strange, there was never an event like this before, was there? I feel like I would remember something this incredible…, oh I've arrived at my destination."
I entered the tall building of 'London Central Company' a small company that specialized in software and game development, the pay was high and I had several degrees in the field so it made sense to apply.
After I got to the office where my interview was being held I sat down to wait for my turn.
"Mr. Julius Gray, please come in for your interview." the receptionist called out.
It was my turn so I quickly entered the interview room. Inside was a man dressed in a grey suit sat behind a desk.
"Welcome, Mr. gray, take a seat and we can start!" He shook my hand and said.
The interview continued normally as I answered every question perfectly using my past life's knowledge.
A WHILE LATER.
"You've answered every question perfectly so far, your resume is perfect for us as well, all that's left is for us to see an example of your code, "The interviewer said.
The application did include the demonstration as a condition, so I was prepared.
"One sec, just let me open up my laptop," I got my laptop out of my bag and turned it on, I was looking for an app I had made when I noticed a strange text file with the name [Tale Of A Man Chapter 1], I pressed on it and immediately a few words appeared to stand out to me.
"Wait, this is..STRANGE NEWS...THREE COMETS….this is impossible! everything that happened today is the same as the Intro of my Boo-"
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"Are you having trouble, Mr. Gray?" the interviewer asked.
"Ah no, here you go!"
I continued the interview while ignoring the strange coincidences, even though my heart was sure of something Impossible. I had not noticed due to how long it had been since I read the first few chapters but my worldview would soon shift.
LATER.
"We'll call you later with a decision, but you've pretty much got the job!" The interviewer shook my hand and said with a smile.
"Thank you, Sir!" I replied.
I left the building and was headed home When I suddenly had a strange thought.
[50% Capacity.]
"Three coincidences that I don't remember all in one day…this might be a waste of time, but it would explain a lot of things if I'm right, and it would also mean I'm the luckiest man alive!" I said to myself.
I made my way to a certain building as fast as I could. My destination was a certain rooftop of an apartment building where a magical encounter was about to happen.
In my book [Tale Of A Man] the main character William Black finds a treasure trove that falls from the comets, it would be the first luck of the countless he would experience, though he would suffer just as much as he got lucky.
I climbed up the stairs and got to the rooftop and suddenly my doubts were confirmed, in front of me was a glowing gold pile of treasures, I fell to my knees in disbelief.
"Oh lord, it's real!" I shouted with no care for who could hear.
I felt a strange satisfaction, I felt I really was not a failure who had only sold two incomplete copies of his book till the day he died.
"So it was true…my…my book meant something!…my life was not a waste! Thank you, God, Buddha, and any and all other gods!"
[Title [Author] is resisting ????.]
Naive thoughts filled my head, I thought I would be able to go through without suffering and live a heaven like life just by using my knowledge, but I had not yet experienced the world of the book I wrote after all.
I made my peace with the discovery, maybe it's because I wrote an endless amount of fantastical concepts for a full 80 years, but I began to accept the new reality quickly, as I prepared to leave I noticed a necklace shine.
"That's the seed of the universe…if I use that the [Eternal Sword God] will guide me through everything….but…I could never do that to William. I've always felt he was like a younger brother to me or my younger self. I'll just take some of the gold and gems to sell for some money." I decided.
I left the rooftop through the side stairs as the main door opened and a silver-haired young man walked out.
A While Later
I arrived at a shady pawn shop with the gold and gems in my bag.
"Oh, a new customer? We don't get those much these days," A bald old man behind the glass counter said.
"I'm just here to sell a couple of things, and quickly," I responded.
"Lay them out then, let's start talking business," He said.
I opened my bag and placed 4 gold bars and several diamonds the size of a coin on the glass counter.
"My oh my! These are the purest gold bars I've ever seen, unmarked too. And these diamonds, I smell something a bit shady here." The shop owner looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Of course it's shady, I'm walking around London with this in a laptop bag. The real question is if you're buying." I wasn't about to get bluffed by just anyone.
"I'll have to put them through the machines first." He replied with a chuckle and picked them up.
A while later I left the pawn shop after receiving two-hundred thousand on my account. Why such a low sum of money? Due to how illegal it was, the gold was unmarked and both had no papers whatsoever, so the understanding was that the shop owner would take the risk and I'd get paid less.
"Let's go have some fun with Elene." I said as I headed for a nearby luxury mall.
