While they were traveling on the road with a fast pace for some time now, the golden soldier spoke. "We are now going in a small forest, but this is the quickest route than travel all around it. The scouts have detected many of those things here. So stay vigilant and with open eyes."
They were now in the small forest, and as the soldier had said, Kaylen's skill picked up different things here and there. But there was a being that kept following them with the equal speed and constant distance. The Presence Detection skill had a range of 20 meters, but the being blend with the environment colors making it hard to spot with the naked eye. The skill picked the distance and direction, and Kaylen looked at where the being should be. But what she observed was a patch of blurred colors and a small red eye looking at them. It never faced forward and moved like it knew the forest and where every tree was. When the being saw that someone had found its location, it closed the distance between them and it and lost the blurred colors and a metallic color appeared.
Kaylen hit the helmet of the golden soldier and pointed at the thing was at their right. "Contact! Mage, Barrier!" He shouted, and a blue barrier formed around them. The being resembled a dog was steroids and everything made from metal. It had sharp teeth and a single eye at the center of its head. A small cannon like arm came out of its back, and when it had finished deploying. The thing shot blue orbs at a high fire rate and velocity. However, the blue barrier stopped them. "Keep moving. It will stop following us when we are out of here. Two more minutes until then." The golden armored guy shouted again. Kaylen looked at the soldiers. She wished to identify who was the soldier that had deployed the barrier and if he looked different from the others. But all of them had armor on them, so it became hard for Kaylen to determine which one was. The thing kept on shooting at them while they were moving. After a couple more shots, it stopped and ran away, because they closed to exit the forest.
They were heading to a camp that was two kilometers ahead of them. Kaylen saw soldiers moving around the campsite. Everything was in a harmony of movement. Her group passed the camp without stopping. Their goal was the city walls farther ahead of them. When they were at the front of the walls, guards let them pass without questioning because of the golden armor.
They stopped moving when her group pasted the gate, and they went to a barrack. "Now, Kaylen, you stay here, and someone will come and fetch you." WIth that Kaylen climbed down from the horse and stayed there. The soldiers left the barrack to get more people like her. Several minutes passed before someone came to take. "My name is Bill, and I will be the one who you will come to report for the two days you will stay here. I do not want questions and only results." They moved deeper into the barrack, to a building that had other people on them. All of them were like Kaylen. Bill shoved her with the others and went in front of the people and shouted. "You worthless people will train from today for at least two days. Some will have more days and other less. Your group of 50 people has only two. And as for why you were gathered here is because of the unknown threat that had come from nowhere, really. Some of you could have seen them other not. They look like a common dog you find on the streets but with metal and cannons. And because we are losing pressure with those things, there was a mandatory assimilation of people to fight the threat. Now, come with me." Finishing his dialog, he left the building and everyone followed. There were murmurings everywhere. Most people in her group had dead eyes. They knew what would happen to them. But even before they were out of the building, there were shouts and noises everywhere. Kaylen could hear the noise like what the orb of the cannon had hit the barrier. But this time it wasn't a barrier that it was hitting but stone. There were thousands of those things firing with their cannons at the wall. The camp her previous group had passed before was in smokes with burned dead bodies.
"From where did they come from? There were reports from the scouts spotting nothing!" Someone shouted. Everyone at the wall was in a panic. But those things didn't care about anything. They shred people to pieces and vaporized other with their cannons. "Everyone at arms! Give those people some weapons." Said again the man who had shouted before. Bill left, running away from them, and went to a warehouse and threw out weapons to them. Everyone from her group picked whatever they could. Kaylen picked a dagger. She had tried to move a sword, but it was far heavier than she had expected and chose a dagger. She then saw how the others were using the weapons and adjust her techniques. " All of you follow me," Bill shouted and moved out of the barrack and on the wall. Most of her group had followed Bill but other who tried to run away were now long gone. "Wait here and protect this perimeter of the wall if something of those things comes up here." He left after he had seen what was going down. There were other groups like Kaylen's on the wall. "We will die..." Someone said from her group, he kept on repeating it until something hit him in the head by another man.
There were soldiers on the ground fighting with the beings of metal but they were losing. The ground was full of blood and metal scraps. They could hear a satanic laughter from the back of the beings after all the ground soldiers had died and the being retreat. "Something worth fighting with my little pets." It was a woman that had spoken from behind the things. She wore a red dress, had blue hair a beautiful face and green eyes.
"Alica Avyrilth? The Queen of the Empire?" A fat general spoke after he saw the person behind all of this. "That is true my dear Frederick. Isn't it fun to destroy what the Emperor has created? He used everything in his power to get what he wanted but didn't expect his most used thing to create chaos. And I haven't forgotten what you did either, I remember every single face of your people and I will destroy whatever you held dear in your life. Go on my little pets, kill them all." Every metallic being moved when she finished her speech. And chaos once more broke down. The beings had nothing to kill on the ground. So they bombarded the iron gate of the wall and other climbed with their sharp nails digging on the wall.

Her group was one of the attacked ones. The being looked at them like it was calculating the best route for extermination. It shot with its cannon at them, and her group disperse to left and right on the wall, expect two people and Kaylen tried to attack it. Kaylen didn't know why she had stayed, but something on the head of the being showed her the level of the being.
Mechanical Demonic Dog Level 1.
While the people were with her had level 5 and 7. A man with a sword had the level 5 and a woman with a dagger had the level 7. They made a circle with it at the center, and Kaylen stayed at the center. The cannon of the monster didn't shoot at them. It had been damaged somehow, and couldn't shoot. It kept looking at them from left to right to center. Kaylen looked at the woman and how she held the dagger. She had the dagger with the blade facing her arm, and her hands up and close to her chest. Kaylen copied the form and then looked at the man that did the first move while the Dog was looking at the woman. He hit the thing and a scrap of metal came from it. Kaylen could see cables from where the metal had been removed. The being looked at the man and attacked him. The woman moved and so did Kaylen. The target of the woman was the eye and for Kaylen the leg the man had removed the metal from. The being tried to beat down at the man but he used the sword to block the mouth. The woman climbed on top of the Dog and hit the head with her weapon. Kaylen was now on the side the man had hit. She moved the dagger at the cables with as much force as she could. The being was trying to remove the woman from its back. While it tried to beat down the man but didn't expect the 3rd person to make a move to the damaged leg. When Kayle's dagger hit the cables. The electricity that ran through them shocked her. Electricity burned Her muscles on her hand in a matter of seconds but the good thing was that they had killed the thing with what Kaylen did.

She now had a useless right arm that had black marks on it. She fought the pain and moved with the other to another target. She kept following them because they knew what was going on while she didn't. She removed the dagger for her right arm and followed the people. When she held the dagger in her hand. She felt like the dagger was not just a weapon but a killing machine that could destroy everything at the right angles. For them, they had to attack two of the Dogs now and both had their weapons intact. The man made the first move again, and both dogs fired at him; he tried to dodge, but he was too slow. His whole right arm was burned black, and his weapon was on the floor. Both dogs saw that and attack him. But Kaylen and woman didn't stay ideal, Kaylen moved at the closest of the dogs and the woman did a jump for the other. The target was the eye for the woman again and as for Kaylen; it was the leg she had hit the cables. But this time, the dogs had the weapons and fired at them before they did any damage on them; they were blind shot but still scary. Kaylen looked at the weapon and an idea came to her mind. What if she hit with her dagger this thing and make damage or even kill it the same way as before?
She executed the task, and it showed an optional path in her eyes. Time felt like it slowed down. Blue lines formed to where the cannon could be in the next five seconds. An optional trajectory to where she should move to do not get hit and where to hit for her to finish the task. There were two more paths. The risky one that could do the task faster but she could get damaged. And the other was the safe and the slowest and the chances of not getting hit were higher. She chose the optional route, and her body moved like a pro that had executed this style of combat for years. But all of this was pre-calculations of hers and everything could go wrong is she did a mistake. Everything on her body worked with exact mathematical values that only her brain could execute that fast and with perfection. She followed what her projection had said with values and timings. She ran up to her target. Four meters away from it the prediction said to duck. She did and an orb missed. Two meters away from it, it was a jump she had to make. She followed the route and when it was time to jump; she did and again an orb missed the target. Now she was on top of the target back. The projection said to aim the cannon at the other being and put the dagger between the connection between the cannon and the arm. She followed the instruction and moved the cannon with as much force as she could; until she had aimed at the target and the logged the dagger to the cannon and the arm connection. The cannon fire without is user will and shot its friend. Then the projection said to remove the dagger and the aim at the spine of the target. She did that with perfect execution and kill her target too.
Both dogs crashed on the floor of the wall. Her team looked at her with shock on their eyes. They didn't expect her to execute something this complex with perfect execution. This was something they saw for the first time, and it was awesome. Kaylen looked at them and saw on the down left of her vision a small 'task complete'. She smiled, but she didn't know why. It was her body doing it on its own. And speaking of the body, she felt pain from every muscle of hers and a headache.

Her body stopped working, and she lost consciousness. She had used all of her stamina for the day in just 5 seconds and her body now need it a rest. Her teammates moved as fast as they could stop her from hitting the ground and shouted for a healer or someone that could help them. But none came, so they moved to the closest stairs and move her to the barrack facility for the wounded soldiers. When they were there. A doctor spoke with them. "What happened to her?" They told the whole story from start to finish and they stayed with her at the healing facility. Doctors and nurses were helping every soldier that came in and Kaylen. They fix the arm of the man too. And now they waited for Kaylen to wake up.
