It was barely a week after our second vacation in Kjerag, during an early morning that I awoke besides with my newly-wed lupa. And I couldn't resist to slither my hands onto my defenceless violet predator.

She was wearing only a shirt and a pair of boxers. My hand rubbed onto her smooth legs upwards, slowly reaching her wonderful bosom and I squeezed it in my palm.

Provence moaned lightly in her sleep, her reactions were so arousing and lovable. As I caressed her more she started to react, slowly, not fully awake, but having a sense of conscience going. Her tail foremost started coiling towards me, around me.

She was scooting her head closer and brushed her canines against my shoulder. I came closer to her and grasped her cheek before planting a kiss on her lips. She opened her eyes to me. Her deep golden eyes looked into mines sweetly. She then bit my own cheek playfully, scraping it more than usual.

-''You cheeky lupa.'' I said in a hushed voice.

-''Rawr~.'' Provence responded playfully.

I grabbed her with vigor and pulled her onto me. Biting one of her fluffy ears playfully and making her squirm. She didn't resist me but let herself be taken at will. She squirmed more audibly as I assumed dominance. I felt her body mellow into a retreating submission. I then pulled away and kissed her again, more intently, passionately. Provence accepted it as she coiled her tongue with mines. She awoke, and then looked at me with clearer eyes.

-''Morning my dear mate.'' She said with a smile.

I brushed her cheek, and we just stared at each other, happily in each other's embrace. I loved this charming wolf girl. I tickled one of her sensitive spots and I forced her into a laugh.

-''Looks like my dangerous lupo is finally awake.'' I teased.

-''Yes, and she is hungry. Feed me, before I decide you eat you.'' She said playfully.

-''Alright my love.'' I said before I kissed her lips again.

We were well living together for a while by that point. Provence having moved officially with me in my own apartment two days after our first night together. I was already preparing the table with a light breakfast. Two cups of Siracusan style cappuccinos, the foam milk atop the drinks forming properly for once. A few slices of fresh bread with butter with a spread of blueberry for my lupa while I reserved myself a few slices with just plain butter and some salt. Provence exited the bathroom finally and approached me. I could sense something was different judging by her body language alone. She was holding something, and as she spoke she wore a happy but insecure smile.

-''Looks like we did it.'' Provence disclosed as she showed me a positive pregnancy test.

-I will have to check with the medical department. After all, I still have oripathy, even if you're immune.

-Kal'tsit will tell us... what chances I have to bear healthy children.

I came to closer, pulling her in my arms. Embracing her and caressing her head.

-I'm happy to hear it my love.'' I said before kissing her lips, bringing a more genuine smile back on my wife's visage.

-Shush, no use worrying. Let's start the day on a good news and on good thoughts for the future.

She relented and embraced me more tightly.

-''You're wonderful my mate.'' Provence said, in a better mood.

-Come, let's have some breakfast first. You'll have time to do the checkup after.

The table with the breakfast was prepared on the balcony. The weather was clear, and the temperature was pleasant. I switched on a music player, giving out a light Siracusan piece to start the day on. I enjoyed my cappuccino while watching my lovely lupa savour the slices I prepared for her. She was a most graceful and gorgeous wolf girl I thought.

-''Is there jam on my face?'' She asked noticing my stare.

-''Heheh~.'' She giggled happily at my compliment.

An hour later we were already in our attires, ready to leave together for the medical ward.

-''I know you have to go for your meeting with Doctor, don't worry about me, I'll be fine.'' Provence spoke.

-I already cancelled my meeting. I am coming with you.

-You shouldn't have, the Doctor relies on you. I don't want you to have problems because of it.

-It's alright, believe me.

I brought my soulmate's palm into mine, giving it a light and warm squeeze.

-I'm coming with you il mio amore.

---Two hours later. Provence's perspective---

-''It was foolish to have done what you did. You know very well how oripathy affects pregnancies.'' Kal'tsit spoke gravely.

-''But I will personally take care of you from this point onward.'' She said then with a more caring voice.

Of course, I knew the danger. I knew all too well the possibility of the tragedy that could happen. The disappointment I could give to my mate. Yet... he gave me hope, and I loved him too much to let myself be daunted by my fears. I had taken all the precautions I could take, I even took an extended vacation to Siesta and then another to Kjerag instead of going back to my duty.

Back to my mission as a messenger and be exposed to originum even more. I crossed my heart side stepping my duty, yet I felt vindicated that I helped avert the disaster in Siesta.

I looked down, unable to confront what they could tell me. And I couldn't help myself as I started to cry. The tears kept flowing, and I couldn't stop them.

''It must be very dire if doctor Kal'tsit is personally taking care of me...

I'm sorry, my mate. I wanted to bear you healthy pups.'' I thought.

-''You... are cured of oripathy.'' Said doctor Kal'tsit before continuing.

-Your pregnancy shows no signs of abnormalities.

I looked up at Kal'tsit. Bewildered, almost unable to believe what she was telling me.

-You do not suffer from oripathy anymore, operator Provence.

-''This is incredible!'' Added Folinic.

-''How!?'' I managed to ask, still in shock, I think was starting to hyperventilate.

Kal'tsit then grabbed my shoulders besides my mate.

-Calm down Provence. Everything is alright, you truly are cured. I never thought it possible but somehow, Tacet's immunity passed on to you with the pregnancy.

I could say nothing more. I continued to sob like a silly girl openly now. Kal'tsit sat by me opposite of my mate, still holding an arm around me while she pulled a handkerchief from one of her pockets, wiping my face.

-''Everything is alright, both you and the baby are healthy.'' Kal'tsit spoke in a rare soft tone.

-''Thank you, doctor Kal'tsit!'' I managed to utter.

-We'll do a few more tests soon. After that, for all intents and purposes you are free to go. You'll just have to come for your weekly check-ups.

As she went to speak with Folinic nearby, probably to prepare the next batch of tests, leaving us for the moment. I couldn't help myself as I jumped onto my lover.

-''I love you!'' I declared almost still sobbing. ''Thank you.''

-My lupa, you don't know how much joy this brings me. But I truly didn't know this was possible.

-''You better believe it for there could be no other explanation.'' Kal'tsit spoke as she came back to us.''

-Even so, it seemed like such an unexpected thing doctor, after all my gift was never meant to be shared.

-I remember when you told me of your mentor's words, that it was in time that you would find of and master its many secrets.

We were upon a veranda in the park atop the Rhodes Island's landship. It was mostly clear of people at this early hour still.

Provence played with the little human like lupo baby in her arms. He would grab her thumb and squeeze it lightly, wiggling it up and down as he'd look at us with his blue eyes. His hair was of a black with a touch of violet taking from his mother. He laughed cheerfully.

-He's quite lively today, our lil' progeny of two rare species.

-''He is.'' Provence said happily, looking at our pup and then at me.

-Thank you. I never thought I would ever be able to have pups.

-And what a beautiful pup you made for us, my dear lupa.

-I'm sure we will make at least one more. Won't we, my mate?

-''We will, mio amore~.'' I answered along with a wink.

A message would ping me not too long after and I decided to pick my PDA phone to give it at least a cursory read.

''Engineering subcontractor acquired. The team is somewhat small for our scope but nothing that can't be solved. Their name however has a clean track record, and you will find their leader quite diligent and up to any task. You can meet her yourself, she is scheduled to arrive and go through our operator trials in two days.

The heavy excavation and boring machines contracted from Rim Billiton should arrive within two months. Preliminary site preparations to be concluded under eighty days.''
