Chapter 6 Stella Aster

Chapter 6 Stella Aster

Ever since ive met Ariana, my life was just been a bit more interesting. For most of my life I was the prodigy of my family, I had the skill and intelligence to go with it. I also had a little sister who was sick most of her life, she was barely able to go out into the sun for an hour before she would break out.

Our parents tried whatever they could to cure her, but she never got better. They called doctors from all over to try to figure out what was wrong with her, but they all failed.

One day an expert came by and checked on her. They were an expert on magic and found out a was an aura flow problem. A aura flow problem is when your excess mana cant leave your body through your aura and causes the body to become stressed to the point of seeming like they’ sick.

The expert told our parents they could cure this sickness for them. Out parents would beg them to as they only wanted her to be happy. Our family were nobles, but unlike most novels our family let each other to choose the path we wanted.

They never arranged political marriages for us like other noble families. We were known as a strange family but the reasons we didn’t have to do any of that was our bloodline. Our family was known for having powerful kids.

Our bloodline has had powerful heroes, adventurers, knights, and many others. Like myself who has gotten the Sage skill, an S rank ability that is one out of about 500 million. But I also got the affinity of destruction, which due to the stories of it, is a feared power.

Just having this power made it so I had to work twice as hard to get recognition, but after my sister was cured. Her abilities shined brighter than mine. She dashed past all my hard work with how much my powerful she was. I cared about my sister and was happy that she was able to get so strong so fast, but I still had envy for her and it made me depressed to the point that I stopped my training to be a Sage. My parents noticed this and tried to cheer me up. They tried their best and never tried to force me to be motivated again. Their sadness for my shortcoming made me realize that I shouldn’t just give up yet.

It doesn’t matter if im not as strong as my sister, I can still get stronger if I learn from others and improve myself. I gained back some of my motivation and decided to become an adventurer as id then have access to travel to other kingdoms easier like the kingdom of humanity. I decided to head as there was a teacher there that was a Sage, in title, they didn’t have the skill. But even so, they were able to become one of the kingdom’s smartest mages.

My parents supported me being an adventurer, even if they thought it wasn’t the best idea. I said my goodbyes to them and my sister. I headed right for the kingdom and met with Agilan, who agreed to teach me. It was going well and his teachings were a challenge which meant I could learn from them and get stronger.

I then met Ariana, the girl of mystery, I got to know her personality and not really much about her. She had a hard to talk to me and was always nervous when learning magic and if she was doing it right. She was like me in a way of wanted recognition from others. She seemed to just want to be useful, that’s why I kind of started to get attached to her and thought of her as someone I could relate to, a friend.
