Next day Tobi woke up feeling fresh. It was quite early so most of his friends were asleep except whose tent was empty. Tobi went back to the boulder and continued making the blueprint for the new settlement. He would draw for a minute and then meditate and repeat. After few hours his plan was complete.
The designed for this city was very symmetrical. It was circle divided into sixteen segments from the Centre with alternate farm and residential areas with cantre being a lake with canals going out from all sides. Then he noted that he didn’t account for the terrain. Though it will not be a problem as there were mostly flat grasslands around them but the main problem was lake. He went to find Alion to ask about the nearest water source.
After a while he found him. Alion was talking to a young blond girl, as he noticed Tobi approaching them, he greeted him and then introduced the blond whose name was Lia, she was a data keeper for now due to her photographic memory skill. Tobi said, “so, I completed the main layout for the city but I forgot to account for the water source so if you could tell me about the nearest water source that would be very nice. And I will finish final design by the end of the day and you will find it on the boulder near our camp” to which Alion replied, “there is river few kilometers east of here we get all of our water from there, it is drinkable bit we still boil it. Also, I would really appreciate if you could finish it now because I just talked with Deepraj and he said he was going east to level up and explore, then I can also run your design by others.”
Tobi exhaled loudly and nodded. Then he went back to the boulder to edit the design. He changed the lake into a canal running from west to east while splitting into smaller canals along the way after which the main canal drain into a reservoir to the east.
While Tobi was working on the design and voice came from behind him, “an interesting layout, and pretty good I must say. ……. For an amateur ” Freya said smirking. “well they wanted a temporary city and resources were very limited and I also do not want to make something without exploring a bit. What if I found something too good to build with and could not include it into the city” said Tobi.
“That’s pretty cool” said Deepraj from the side and then continued, “so, I was thinking we should explore around a bit, I just talked with Alion and he said that East is pretty safe with small animals and they haven’t ventured far, so what do you think”

“sounds good to me” said Tobi and Freya said, “what about the others?”
“I will ask them after this.” Then Freya nodded and they decided to meet on the east side of the encampment in two hours and Deepraj went to ask others.
After an hour Tobi was done with his work and then he sat down and talked to Freya about his designs and some other stuff. Then they went towards the east. Everyone was waiting there for them except Anmol who had decided to go south with another group early. They went off after greeting each other.
They encountered their first animal after few kilometers. It looked like a fox, brown in color with red spots over it.
They ignored it at first but it started moving towards them and attacking them. Freya pointed her finger at the fox and shot a ray of light which hit it in the tail. It did'nt do too much damage but there was a clear burn mark. Then the fox lunged toward Freya and she fell back and it bit her ankle. Then Freya screamed on top of her lungs and blasted bright light on its face.
Fox let her go sand stumbled there was no obvious damage but sight of the fox was most likely gone. Seeing this as a chance Deepraj threw a rock at very high speed which left a visible wound on the fox. Then Emma threw a blast of pressurized water toward it. Then Deepraj threw another rock and the fox sensing the direction started to move to ward Deepraj on full speed but when he was near him, he held out his hand and the fox slowed down and then Emma and Deepraj killed him from distance with their projectiles. When the fox was killed Tobi received and notification.

Tobi ignored the notification and ran toward Freya. Felix and Sid were already there. He looked at Freya’s face and let out a breath of relief seeing her smiling and talking to Felix. Then he looked at her leg with Sid’s hand hovering over the wound and the was closing slowly and wriggling all around it was very creepy but the wound was mostly closed.
Soon Deepraj and Emma came over both breathing heavily with sweat on their foreheads probably due to mana exhaustion. “I’m sorry” Deepraj blurted out as soon as he reached Freya. He was about to continue when Freya raised her hand and said, “we will talk about it later, you should meditate first and recover your mana. Man look at your state, you look like a junkie with withdrawal issues” Deepraj looked at her raising an eyebrow and then looked at her now closed wound, shrugged and then sat down to meditate. So did Emma and Sid.
They came out of meditation soon after and Sid cast his spell on Freya’s foot again and it was as good as before. “pretty neat spell you have here” Freya said, “what else can you do with it?”. “if you want, I can turn your foot into that of a chicken’s, given enough time” Sid replied with a serious look on his face and then everyone started laughing including Freya. Then Freya turned to Deepraj and asked “now big man, what were you so sorry for?”.
