You yank your hand back, and realize you should probably trust your grandfather, and you look at the door in wonder, why were you so eager to try and use the key's? You don't even know what it would do.
You sigh and walk back to your room upstairs holding the note from your grandfather in your hands, and you get in bed. Maybe this all was some dream you had you never even thought of that, as you close your eyes and go back to sleep.
It's morning, you yawn and stretch getting up, and grabbing a glass of water sitting on your nightstand, you just had the weirdest dream and had no idea what it was truly about, dreams are supposed to have a hidden meaning or something right? then why was it so odd? You take a sip of your water and see the note sitting on your nightstand right next to where you water was sitting! You spit out the water in a stream and read the note again and again. It says the same thing you thought you had read in your dream! so does that mean it wasn't a dream then?
You decide to go to your grandfather, he said he would explain it to you. Walking down the stairs you see the door is gone but so is any trace of your grandfather. you call for him around the house but you hear nothing 'cept for the animals outside the cabin. so like any nervous person, you continue to search. He isn't in his room, nor the collection room he showed you yesterday. Now just where could he be?
"Grandfather?" You call
Nobody responds.
You worry, what was your grandfather going to tell you? what was that mysterious door? You go back to the main hall and notice a small notebook laying where the door used to be, it was hard to see aas the color of the notebook was the same color as the carpet it was laying on. Picking it up you look at the cover, all it reads is "Adventure in another world." Sounds like a cliche novel title, opening to the first page you take a look at the inside.
Dedicated to my family, who won't belive my last discovery.
This is Fenton Doe famous explorer and archeaologist, I've come across a couple of weird keys in my last ruin expedition, and the murals in the ruin had the image of a cryptic door with these keys, but instead of a door we just found a doorway, I figured it was a wood door that rotted away through time. My compainions let me hold on to the keys as a keepskate from my travels. but this is where the story gets much crazier.
I came back with 4 key's each was pretty different enough to make me question if they were all supposed to be at the ruin or if someone dropped them, there was one that for some reason spoke to me or something, I could never bring myself to put it away and it sat in my pocket all day and I eventually made a necklace to hold it so I wouldn't take it off. One day I heard a boom downstairs and thought I left the stove on or something. Rushing downstairs I checked and you'll never guess what I found in it's place. The Door, the one from the mural, it was nearly the same and it had 4 keyholes on it, I felt the key on my neck move like it wanted to be used on the door and walked toward it. I grab my key and turn the first keyhole, opening the door wide, and gazing though it in shock.

It was a plain, the door showed me a plain, it was vast like a plain normally is but it was nothing like a plain I had seen before, it was more similar to a hill or something with long green grass and a white sun in the sky, which confused me even more, a white sun? it shone down but everything else seemed the same I saw a few trees and they were the correct colors though I couldn't identify what tree it was. I stepped through the door and set an alarm on my watch so i could go back in five minutes, I didn't know how long the door lasted. I left it open and walked toward the nearest tree and felt it. The bark was tough but real smooth like no other tree I had ever seen. I heard my alarm go off and I walked back inside. I closed the door and it disapeared without a noise, it just faded from view and I was left in shock.
I've done some research and the Door appears in the middle of every month, as well as an even more amazing fact...time moves faster in the plain than out here! when I set my watch the first time it was 15 minutes ahead and I almost didn't notice, after doing a few tests it seems time is 3 times faster in the other world! but that could work not in my favor too, if I got stuck in the other world, I'd be there for only an an hour and outside it would be only 20 minutes! Every time the door appeared I would do some tests, like leaving things in the door and closing it and checking next month, but the food would be fine! I figured they were only there for a couple of days.
I decided to not go in the door anymore as my grandson is visiting in a couple of weeks and I want to be prepared for when they arrive, but I plan on letting them know my finding on this door! they will be so shocked so I have to be slow with it or they will think I'm crazy, or something.
The writing stops off there, and you begin to worry, was it possible your grandfather got stuck on the other side? You did close the door yestarday so you could have trapped him or something. You figure he might just be gone to loggin and wait in the kitchen.
Hours Pass, and your grandfather is nowhere to be found, he hasn't even come back for lunch. you get a knawing fear that the door actually took your grandfather. You are pretty self sufficient and you manage to make a simple dinner for yourself mostly consisting of leftovers from last night, as you continue to wait.
You wake up, you are still sitting downstairs a plate sitting across from you with not one item missing, your grandfather did not come home, and was still missing. You grandfather was an old soul and there was no phone here and yours was dead a while ago, the only reason your family let him know you were coming in the first place was though letter. Both of your parents are busy so you have no idea what would happen if you even managed to reach them. as you can fend for yourself you decide to wait for the door to come back to see if your grandfather would come back, as well as get ready in case you have to go rescue your grandfather.
You pack up a spare explorers pack and fill it with:
