CHAPTER 3 QUESTIONS
As I gasped for air, desperately searching for a place to hide, my eyes landed on the massive iron door of the prison exit. It was my only option. "I have no choice but to hide behind that colossal door," I thought, sprinting towards it. With each passing second, my vision grew darker and my stamina drained, but I pushed on. The four guards and the towering figure of the colossal guard raced past me as I concealed myself behind the door.
My body refused to move, and my eyelids grew heavy. Just as I thought I couldn't go on any longer, a voice inside my head spoke, "Congratulations! You've completed the quest of escaping from the cage! You've leveled up to 4, and your health and stamina are fully restored." Suddenly, my body glowed with renewed energy. "Wow," I exclaimed, "I could definitely get used to this. Who knew the voice in my head could be so helpful?"
But then, curiosity struck me. I pondered, "Why did I refer to the voice in my head as a system? And why did I ask for a skill to aid my escape?" Lost in thought, I gazed at the ground, desperately trying to piece together how I ended up in this situation. Memories flooded back to me, memories of a comic I once read. It told the story of a boy who was struck by a train and woke up in the very game he had been playing. Suddenly, it all clicked. I had been hit by a truck, just like the boy had been hit by a train. And now, here I was, awakening in a dark, ashy battlefield. Could it be that I, too, had been reincarnated? "But where?” I wondered aloud.
As I pondered deeply, lost in my thoughts, my contemplation was abruptly interrupted by a woman who bore a striking resemblance to my mother. She questioned me with a puzzled expression, "Eh? Are you some kind of addict? Why are you talking to yourself?" I couldn't comprehend her words, so I defensively replied, "I didn't do anything! Why are you trying to harm me?" The woman seemed equally confused, exclaiming, "What?! Are you cursing me?" She stomped her feet in frustration and retorted, "What? I can't even understand you!" I shot back, frustrated.
Suddenly, a voice in my head spoke, interrupting our bizarre exchange. "Generating an event quest... 1%... 4%... 12%... 33%... 56%... 89%... 100%. Initiating event quest. Upon choosing a path, the storyline may change." Perplexed, I questioned, "Wait, what do you mean by 'event'?" The woman, now enraged, transformed before my eyes, her shoulders broadening and her body becoming muscular. She resembled a fierce barbarian. "I never realized you were all barbarians this whole time! I didn't notice it at first because I kept getting knocked out when I arrived in this world. Perhaps that's why the voice appeared," I mused.
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"SHUT UP!" the woman bellowed as she swung at me, narrowly missing. "Wow, that was close. Maybe I should try something I'm curious about," I thought to myself. She continued to throw punches, and amidst our chaotic fight. We somehow manage to exchange word’s to each other understanding nothing to our talk, Thinking quickly, I remembered something I had read about and decided to give it a shot. "Open window," I commanded. To my surprise, a system window appeared before me. However, before I could fully comprehend its significance, the woman landed a powerful punch on my face, causing my health to plummet to 48%.
"Ah, shit! I guess trying really does hurt!" I exclaimed, realizing the consequences of my actions. "One more blow and I might as well be six feet under," I muttered under my breath, desperately trying to stay alive. I frantically accessed the system window, searching for a skill that could turn the tide in my favor. Ah, there it was - the mighty Spark Plug skill. It had the power to stun the enemy for a solid three seconds, but it came with a price - it left the user stunned as well.
"F*ck, this skill is useless!" I cursed, frustration seeping into my voice. The woman before me swung her fist at me once again, each punch faster and more relentless than the last. I attempted to dodge, but her blows were too swift for me to evade. With no other choice, I raised my hand to block the incoming strike.
"ARG!" I cried out in agony as her punch shattered my left arm, sending me flying through the air. My health plummeted to a mere 3%. Determined to survive, I activated a speed boost and managed to regain my footing. Seizing the opportunity, I landed a punch on the woman, stunning both of us momentarily.
"Argh! Why can't I move? What sorcery have you unleashed, you insignificant pest!" she exclaimed in frustration as we recovered from the stun. Without wasting a second, I relentlessly attacked her, pummeling her until her health reached zero. After what felt like an eternity, victory was finally mine. With a mere 3% of my health remaining and 40% of my mana, I had emerged triumphant.
"You have chosen to take down the chief! You have completed the event quest and leveled up to 6! Your health and mana have been restored," a voice echoed in my mind as my body glowed with a healing energy, mending my broken hand. "Huhuhu, f*ck, that almost killed me! I need to get out of here!" I exclaimed, a mix of relief and urgency coursing through my veins. "i really, really really need to get out of this place immedietly!, no second thought's "
As I made my way out of the colossal iron door where the intense battle had taken place, I was greeted by guards and the people of the territory. Overwhelmed by the unexpected reception, I couldn't help but blurt out, "Ah-, what the f*ck is this?" in sheer disbelief.
