“We already talked about this, Michael... We can’t be together. So, please…” the unmasked lady uttered with a voice that pleads.
“Gwyn, please hear me out…” Michael replied.
“Michael, our lives are worlds apart. We’ll just end up hurting each other.”
Michael held the hands of the lady, and with sincere eyes, he stated, “I always tell you, Gwyn… I’m ready to move heaven and earth for our relationship. I’ll endure everything just to be with you…”
Tears began to well up in the lady’s eyes. “Why are you like this, Michael? Why are you so hard-headed?” the lady said while digging her face in her hand.
“Because I love you, Gwyn. I’ll do everything for our love,” Michael uttered wholeheartedly.
“What if they find out?” the lady softly argued. “What if they find out you’re with someone like me?”
“Paninindigan kita [I’ll stand by you]. Whatever it takes, I’ll fight for our love. I’m ready to take all the consequences.”
Gwyn began sobbing, her face covered by her hands. With a voice filled with sorrow, she murmured, “No… I don’t want that, Michael…”
“Gwyn…”
“I don’t want you to be hurt!” Gwyn expressed. “I love you, Michael… I always dreamt of being with you, but if it costs your safety - if it means you getting hurt, then I… I don’t want it.”
“Gwyn, please!”
“Michael, please go home…”
“No, Gwyn! I’m tired of it! I’m tired of hiding.”
“Please understand, Michael. I’m doing this for you… for both of us.”
Michael was getting emotional, he was too persistent. “No! I won’t leave this place. The fact that you went here to see me again, I know deep inside, you’re tired of running away too.”
Gwyn bit her lips, her mind was messy, and with a heavy heart, she pleaded, “Please, Michael…. Don’t let me do this again.”
“Gwyn, no!”
Gwyn put on her jaded masks. She was about to chant her Words to sedate Michael, when suddenly,
“KYAAAAAAH!!!!”
A girly shriek was heard nearby.
Michael and Gwyn were alerted.
Then Eddy’s team appeared. Their legs were trembling in fear, as they were pushed back by a pack of raging Sigbins.
“What’s going on?” Michael muttered, bewildered by the scenario. He moved Gwyn to his back using his arms.
“Th-th-this is what I’m telling you, Mang Eddy,” Chris uttered with a shaky voice.
“D - Do something, Mang Eddy,” Cassie mumbled, hugging Eddy’s arm like a scared little girl.
“I don’t want to die!!!!” Jess screamed.
“Just stay calm,” Eddy said to his team.
“Everybody, just stay calm,” Eddy said, composed but still preparing for the worst.
Meanwhile, from a nearby shady place, Triggs’ team observed the sudden turn of events.
“These stupid idiots,” Monty uttered with frustration.
“Should we?” Lae asked the team.
“Definitely! We should help them!” Triggs stated. Without thinking twice, he entered the scene, charging to the pack of Sigbins.
Lae assisted Triggs by using her Words, “EXCRECENTIA!”
Plants overgrown and ensnared the Sigbins.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Monty had no choice but to help. He sighed and brought out his sling. After picking a stone, he whirled it, and after gaining momentum, he hurled it to the cluster of trapped Sigbins.
SWOOOM!! BRACK!!!
Meanwhile, Triggs slew every Sigbin he saw, piercing their hearts with his sword.
The paranormal investigators, and also Michael, were bewildered by the sequence of scenarios. The unworldly scene baffled the eyes of Randy and Chris.
But after seeing the Sigbins dropping one by one, Eddy’s anxiety slowly turned into relief.
“I knew it! I knew you were no ordinary vloggers!” Cassie said after witnessing how the team fought.
It took Triggs’ team a while to eliminate all of the creatures.
“A - Are we safe now?” Jess mumbled, seeing the last Sigbin drop to the floor.
However, the stress of the 2 barangay officials was still unsettling. Their panicky screams and blabbering filled the place, adding more tension to the situation.
“Wh - What the heck just happened!?” Randy blabbered.
“Let’s go back already, please!” Chirs pleaded.
“I want to go home!!!” Randy screamed.
The tension turned worse when suddenly,
“REVELO!”
Zaine appeared behind Gwyn. He placed a blade on the lady’s neck and threatened her, “I’ll kill you if you move.”
Clearly, Zaine was still holding resentment from the separate times the masked people toyed with him.
“Hey! Let her go!” Michael yelled.
“Zaine, you already got her. There’s no need to hurt her,” Triggs said.
“I SAID, LET HER GO!!!” Michael yelled once more.
However, Zaine was unwavering, still taking the helpless lady hostage.
“Wh - What the fuck is happening!?” Chris shivered.
“Really… Who the hell are you, people?” Randy added.
Jess accused them, “These people might be mangkukulams!”
“Come on, Jess. Don’t let your fear cloud your judgment. That’s not what I thought you,” Eddy scolded his apprentice.
Cassie argued, “But it’s true, Mang Eddy! Did you see what they did!? Those are the works of witches!!”
The place was filled with different emotions: terror, confusion, and angst. As the outrage continued, more noises were heard coming from every direction.
SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH! SWEESH - SISH!
Triggs, Lae, and Monty stood on their guards. The apprentices and barangay officials flinched in horror.
Sigbins appeared, and their number was greater than before.
“Jusko! Please help us!” Chris pleaded.
While the incoming creatures occupied their attention, Gwyn took the chance to escape Zaine’s grasp.
“EXACERBERA!” she Worded.
However, because of Zaine’s protective Talisman, the Words didn’t take effect.
“Do that again and I’ll really kill you,” Zaine warned. Too focused on his hostage, he didn’t notice that Michael was already sneaking behind him.
BLAM!!
Michael punched Zaine in the head, knocking him to the ground, and losing Gwyn in the process.
Quickly, Gwyn moved to Michael’s embrace.
Meanwhile, the battle with the Sigbins intensified. Lae had to repeatedly use her Words to contain the Sigbins, while Triggs and Monty put all their best into slaying the trapped creatures.
But despite all their efforts, the number of Sigbins didn’t seem to decrease. The fighters were slowly tiring out, but the creatures kept coming out of nowhere, and there were no signs of it stopping.
“What the fuck!?... This is neverending!” Monty uttered with a rapid breath.
“There’s no use! We need to fall back!” Triggs urged.
It was obvious that the situation was not in their favor, so they agreed to Triggs’ suggestion.
Triggs’ team had to abandon what they were doing; they ran away opposite to the direction where the Sigbins were coming from. Eddy’s team escaped with them, also desperate to save themselves.
“Mang Eddy, what should we do!? I don’t want to die like this!!” Jess screamed as they sprinted further into the forest.
But it proved that no wise man was capable of spitting out philosophical words in a life-and-death situation. “Just keep running if you don’t want to die!” he just blurted out of instinct.
“Fuck these masked shits! They’re so fucking annoying!” Monty blabbered, assuming that the masked people were responsible for the Sigbin swarming.
All of a sudden, they noticed 2 people scampering with them.
Bewildered, Monty uttered, “What the heck!? Why are you running with us!?”
“Why shouldn’t we? We also want to live,” Gwyn answered.
“The heck!? I thought those kangaroos were your minions!?”
“Well, you’re wrong!”
Sigbins kept appearing in every direction. Triggs, Zaine, and Monty killed everything that came their way. Running for their lives, they went deeper and deeper into the forest.
Until moments later, they had reached the bay of a vast lake.
“A dead end,” Triggs uttered with despair.
The Sigbins caught up with them, with numbers even larger than a while ago, almost dozens.
With a face filled with terror, Cassie mumbled, “Wh - Where should we go? I can’t swim…”
And with his reactions, it appeared that Chris also didn’t know how to swim.
Meanwhile, Zaine was already shivering uncontrollably just staring at the vast water.
They were cornered and had nowhere to go. With pride and dignity, Triggs, Lae, and Monty refused to leave the people behind.
“I guess we have no other choice,” Triggs stated, as he prepared himself for the onslaught.
Eddy, Gwyn, and the others also agreed.
“Ugh… Fuck this! Fuck everything!!” Monty muttered as he picked a stone to use for his sling. With tremendous force, he threw the rock at the group of Sigbins.
SWOOOM!! BOOOM!!
4 Sigbins were killed just from the impact of the attack.
With the absence of plants in the area, Lae couldn’t use her powerful Words. She had to rely on her primitive tactics again.
“ACCELERATION VITAE!” she chanted to create a vine whip.
Triggs with his by-the-book type of fighting, and Zaine with his stylish moves, together they fought the incoming Sigbins.
Also desperate to survive, Gwyn joined the battle. Using her Words, she brought chaos to the creatures, manipulating them to fight each other.
“Hey, you said you love me, right?” Gwyn asked Michael.
Perplexed, Michael answered, “Of course…”
“Then, live for me…” Gwyn said as she gave Michael a dagger-like weapon.
Without a second thought, Michael fought beside his lover.
Huddled together, and without any choice, Eddy’s team had to fight every Sigbin that came near them. Although deeply terrified, Chris and Randy’s manhood kicked as they battled the creatures with their batuta*.
Triggs, Eddy, and Gwyn’s team were all engaged in the battle. They were to hold still for a while, when suddenly…
SLASH!!!
“GAAAH!!!”
Gwyn was severely wounded by a Sigbin.
Seeing his lover on her knees, Michael dashed to kill the attacker.
SLASH!!
KREEEEeee!!!!!
“Are you alright?” Michael asked as he lent a hand to Gwyn.
With a faint voice, Gwyn replied, “I’m fine…” But the deep wound on her waist said otherwise.
“You’re bleeding!”
