Chapter 2:

Kim Daehyun began his strategising (With the help of Thanatos)

“I could learn martial arts from some kung fu movies maybe.”

“What do you suggest?”

{How about reading some manga, I overheard some gods talking about how their apostle is obsessed with them and was reading one called “Heavenly demon’s journey for power”}

“I can use techniques from manga?”

“Fair point… So I can learn martial arts from manga… Will my memory skill help with that?”

“Will my body be able to use them though? I still only have 10 in all stats”

Kim was once again teleported back to 2 weeks before the monster apocalypse started.

He pulled out his phone and scrolled through mangareader.co to find all the murim/action/wuxia/whatever they're called mangas that he could.

52 seconds later a hoard of direwolves, goblins and kobolds began charging through the streets. Civilians were being killed all around. Although, our main character was doing perfectly fine.

Kim didn’t just learn martial arts from the manga. He learned the truth of martial arts. It’s the movement of energy within your body combined with the refining of elegant movements.

He had mastered martial arts and was able to fight with his newly awakened potential.

He dodged the attacks of all 15 enemies at the same time and hit each of them with a flurry of punches and kicks which utterly destroyed all of them.

“Alright then. Lead the way.”

Kim followed the god and found a giant green direwolf. This direwolf looked strangely odd though. There are Scavenger monsters like goblins, kobolds and direwolves but this direwolf was a rebel monster. He wouldn’t associate with a clan of monsters and would hunt on his own. He is a rare special type of mob.

He charged directly at the direwolf and they exchanged blows. The direwolf lunged at him aiming for his neck, but he sidestepped out of the way and launched a counterattack by using his Abyssal Chains to halt its movement while he used a flurry of blows. The direwolf was able to move its body so that his blows had less of an effect, although it was clearly damaged. The direwolf jumped back and shot out a breath of poison from its mouth, the poison melted through the stone nearby and was difficult for Kim to avoid.

He punched the direwolf and the direwolf was thrown backwards. He used his leg strength and charged forwards at it and unleashed another flurry of blows, but this time the direwolf couldn’t reduce the damage. The direwolf had been fully defeated.

Kim Daehyun walked off in search of the monster horde. He found a horde of monsters quite quickly.

“Alright. I’m gonna defeat this horde of mobs without using any skills.”

Kim charged into the centre of the horde. He was prepared to use Abyssal Chains but then he remembered that he couldn’t use skills.

‘Dammit… I know, I just need to use skills without using skills!’

Kim began using the martial arts techniques that his body had mastered without using his martial arts skill. He spun around in a tornado kick then pushed off the ground using his other hand and kicked the Troll directly in the face. He then used his momentum to jump off of the Troll back into the centre of the horde. He had successfully knocked down the entirety of the monster horde without using his skills, however he still hadn’t defeated the horde. He then targeted the Dragonnewt’s and unleashed a flurry of blows directly for the side of their heads, this was a calculated move on his part since he aimed for the pterion which is the weakest bone on the skull. He was able to use his strength and agility to hit their pterion without them being able to react and he was able to crack their skulls. All that was left was the Orc, Troll and Ogre.

The Orcs who are known for their defence and endurance was acting as a shield in-front of the Troll and Ogre who are both known for their attack power and survivability.

‘The Orc is a tank, The Troll is a barbarian and the Ogre is a fighter. This is just a strategy game. The barbarian and fighter will attack after the tank blocks the hits and the tank will last for a long time. Basically to win you need to either defeat one of them first and then the other ones. My newly increased stats can help with this. If I could defeat either the Fighter or the Barbarian then the Tank would lose its effectiveness and I could then take out the Tank. So all I need to do is take out the Troll. The Troll has skills that get stronger after a long battle so if I take him out earlier then I can win… Or I can do this the fun way and kill them all at once.’

Kim charged at the monsters and began his strategy. He charged directly at them, he waited until he was within striking distance of the orc and then sidestepped to the left to avoid the orc’s axe which was slicing down directly at his head. The orc had gotten his axe stuck in the ground and would be unable to attack him for at-least 4 seconds. Kim used this time to charge directly at the troll and unleashed his surprise attack.

“Inventory”

He was able to use some skills in this battle, the streaming skill was allowed to be used due to it being active and he could also use the shop. By that logic that means he just can’t use offensive or defensive skills that can help in combat. He used this logic to unleash the power of his inventory. He removed his 100kg weights from his inventory and threw them at the troll.

For those of you who will say that you can’t just throw 100kg weights, you need to know that with 13 strength he is about 13 times as strong as the average person. This means that it is the equivalent of the average person throwing around 6-7kg. This in itself would be difficult, however he was training his body too, so he can’t just be compared to the average person. He would be around 13 times as strong as a fit and healthy person who exercises every day. Basically it is an easy and trivial task for him.

The 100kg weights acted like he had thrown an object at them like how Captain America throws his shield. The weights hit the troll and knocked him into the orc. The orc was also pushed forwards due to the weight which left both the troll and orc knocked down, the orc without his sword, and the ogre was just left on his own.

Suddenly the ogre’s mouth opened, he spoke in a slow but menacing method. His voice was low and husky and sounded sort of like a pirate who smoked 20 packs of cigarettes per day.

“You.. plan.. this?”

Kim almost fell for his trap, the ogre was trying to bide time for his allies to recover from the blow. Kim didn’t fall for it though. He charged directly at the ogre and then jumped over him and kicked him in the back. This knocked him directly onto the already large pile of the orc and troll. He then grabbed the 100kg weight which was already on the ground and used it like a weapon. He jumped up and slammed it directly into the pile of monsters. All of them were instantly killed.

Kim began his grind for skill levels. He began another stream.
