Chapter 0: Who The Hell Are You?!
It was a bright and sunny day, a blue sky with white clouds, like a pretty picture.
Eight children laughing, as they ran around a pink tree.
They went around and around, from the time the sun rose, till after the sun fell.
The moon rose, and the eight children continued to play, laughing and running around the bright pink tree.
The moon rose above their heads, the mid of night upon them
It was a breezy and warm night, the clouds occasionally blocking the beautiful moon high in the starlit sky.
The clouds blocking the moon, casting the children in a shadow of darkness which passed after a mere second
Six children ran around the tree, unaware of the danger upon them.
The shadows cast around them again
Eight bodies surrounded the tree
The morning came, the sun rose.
Six and a half children remaining.
Six, all scarred, one all broken, and one a lifeless corpse.
A beautiful rhyme
A boy, around the age of 15, was in his backyard, staring at the bright blue sky, sighing
He saw a bright light engulf him, turning purple as it reached him
A warping sound filled his ears, and he fell.
He collapsed to his knees on a carpeted floor
“Huh? Carpet? Why the heck is there carpet outsi-“ The boy stopped. He looked around.
He wasn’t outside, he was indoors. It seemed like a family home, considering the pictures on the walls of a happy family smiling.
The boy started to nervously twist the hair tie that was around his wrist, eventually cutting off the flow of blood.
“Where am I?” The boy asked, tightening the hair tie even more
“You're in my house. Who the hell are you?” A person asked from behind him
The boy turned around, facing the voice, startled
It was another boy, around a year older than him. He had long brown hair, and a confused, yet not alarmed, expression.
He was floating upside down.
“Um. Who are you? Do you know where I am? Do you know how I got here?! What the hell happened, I was just outside a minute ago!!” The boy yelled loudly

“Ow. My ear. Dude, why? I’m Evan, this is my house where I live. With my family. I’d like to ask you your name, too. As for the other stuff, I may have an idea of how you got here if you tell me the details, and finally, no. I have no idea what happened. You have a faint mana signature that is unique to another dimension, so from what I can tell… hm. Yeah. This earth and your earth are probably almost parallel in space coordinate values, if you look at the space time coordinates of the entire planet itself. So you fell through a dimensional hole that connected two dimensions together at a single, overlapping, space coordinate. You’re pretty lucky that it didn’t connect with a space inside of the wall or out on a random planet, or in an ocean, or in space. Do you know what black holes are?” Evan asked randomly
“Um. Well… my name is Tone. Also, I do know what black holes are, but I have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about. If you haven’t noticed, I’m kinda freaked out over here! Can I get back? Can I go home?” Tone asked, holding himself back.
“Ah, so you do know what a black hole is. I’ll assume you know about wormholes too, then. As such, I’ll explain. What occurred to you was similar to how a wormhole works, it’s called a quantum link, and it connects stuff in space... pretty much. An interesting quirk is that it can actually connect to any other dimension as well. If you jump into a wormhole… well, first you basically die, but second, you travel to a random space coordinate that the wormhole is connected to via a quantum link. A normal wormhole won’t connect to another dimension, though. So going through a wormhole is not gonna help you get back. Besides, I didn’t say that what brought you here was a wormhole.” Evan lectured
“Then why the fuck do you bring it up?!?!” Tone asked
“To give you an idea of what a quantum link is. In this case, space itself created a quantum link to another point in space. And that other point of space happens to be here. Another dimension. But, it seems what’s causing space to create this quantum link… is you. And it isn’t over. I marked you with a dimensional tracking device. Once you travel again, I’ll be having someone help you. That’s if you want help, though. I won’t be going personally, but I’ll be handing your case over to a dimensional overseer. This is a part of their job, anyway. They will try to accommodate you as best as they can.... I’d love to say I’m solving this issue for your sake, but I’m not.” Evan said, shaking his head
“That’s a lot to process, but basically, I’m screwed? Are you joking? What… this can’t be real, right? No… it is. This is real. What do I even do?” Tone asked, shaking
“Enjoy life in another dimension. You’re going to age and die. Once you do, that dimension will kick you out. You will be reborn in another, repeatedly. How? I’m not sure, it might even change. Reincarnation, regeneration, magic, stuff like that. You will keep your memories. And if you obtain some sort of power, like magic, it’s likely going to transfer with you. Unfortunately, it can also be severely weakened by the dimensional transfer. Oh, right. If you learn storage magic that can bring things with you from anywhere. It’s not exactly magic, actually, since you don’t know how to use magic. At least, what I’m about to teach you isn’t magic. It’s a different type of storage space. This connects to you specifically. The space isn’t just a subspace, so it will carry over through dimensions. Put things you hold dear into it, so you don’t lose them.” Evan said, fiddling with something
“You’re joking, right? The hell, man? I get taken from my home, and you expect me to just enjoy myself in another dimension?! This is a pretty big problem for me! Why are you helping me, anyway? What are you, a magician or something? Even an idiot would be more considerate! I just lost my home!” Tone said, on the verge of tears
“Oh, hey, hey. Wait, Tone. I’m sorry. I should have explained this first. You’re going back home. The next dimension you’re transferring to is exactly where you were before you left.” Evan said
“Wh-what? Oh. Oh, thank god! I didn’t want to leave, there’s so much I still want to do! I want to get a girlfriend! I want to graduate high school and go to a good college! I want to get a good job and pay my family back for taking me in! There’s a ton of people I would miss! And there's someone who I like... There’s way too much more to list. If I couldn’t return, I would never have had the chance. Tell me that first, next time. I should still be freaking out, I know, but I think I’m a bit too relieved to panic again. Wait, why did I transfer? Why am I here?” Tone said in a single breath
“That’s… it has to do with one of the reasons I said that why I’m doing this is not for your sake. I’m going to have your dimensional overseer help you out from here on out. I’m not going to use my omnipotence on something this trivial. So talk to him. I’d explain the rest, but there’s no more time. Bye, Tone. I hope you achieve all of the things you still wanted to do. Especially the first bit.” Evan said, grinning
“What do yo-“ Tone started
Space around him distorted, muffling his voice
When he was standing on solid ground again, he looked around
“Oh, I’m back in the garden. That’s pretty neat.” Tone said, ignoring reality and treating this like a dream
He heard something hit the floor with a splat behind him
