Chapter 7: A Shot to the Heart

Chapter 7: A Shot to the Heart

"Little one, I'm going to show my gratitude to it by swallowing even your bones, no, even your clothes, even your guns, even your knives, even your everything!"

Goda laughed crazily, his tall body was like a boulder rushing towards Yechen, and the terrifying impulse made the white snow under his feet like waves instantly splashing and scattering.

Feeling the killing intent coming, Yechen's fingers instinctively flicked the revolver chamber to align the blood bullet with the barrel, and then he was about to fire it.

However, after seeing the sight of Goda running wildly at full speed while protecting his vitals with his arms wrapped in chains, Yechen again immediately realised that right now was not the best opportunity to use his bottom card, and turned to side-step back and try to surround himself with Goda.

"Haaah!"

Goda laughed wildly, his thick arm leaned in and swung, and the iron chain in his palm instantly drew towards Yechen vertically with a brutal sound of breaking wind.

The teenager quickly rolled to one side, sensitively avoiding the chain's whip, and in the next second, the chain ruthlessly smashed on top of the snow, not only stirring up the snow as if it were a tidal wave, but also hammering the ground to send out an obvious vibration.

So destructive!

Yechen ducks and dodges as he watches his opponent's offensive sound.

His eyes quickly scanned the two chains wrapped around Goda's arms, and he whirled around to find that they had fused with the hairs of Goda's hands, half copper and half fur, in an eerie and extraordinary way.

"Hee hee, don't run, didn't you run to kill me-!"

Seeing the teenager dodging, Goda's expression became even more frenzied, his arms were swung wildly, the two chains were just like a hungry python that was preying on the teenager, attacking the teenager crazily from the left and right sides.

Knock, knock, knock!

Yechen did not shoot, nor did he draw his sword, but merely stepped nimbly, dodging back and forth from side to side between the waves of splashing snow.

Even though Goda's chains were fast and vicious, Yechen was hard at work, dodging all of Goda's chain lashes with a dexterity that was even greater than his, causing him to blow gusts of wind over the snow, but not lifting the silhouettes in them.

Immediately after Goda swung another empty, Yechen circled around to the back of the wooden house where Goda was originally hiding, seemingly trying to use it as a cover, circling around with Goda repeatedly, so as to look for an opportunity.

"Hey, trying to play around in circles with me? Sorry, no way!"

Seeing Yechen circling around to the opposite side of the cabin, Goda merely let out a cold grunt, not having the slightest intention of circling around with Yechen.

Only to see his left and right hands vigorously flinging, two chains violently smashed down angrily towards the front, surprisingly instantly blowing up the entire hut, causing this building, which was the only building in the village capable of sheltering from the wind and rain, to turn into a pile of rubble in no time at all.

Yechen looked at the dust rising from the shattering of the cabin, his mind making quick conclusions.

Those hairs fused with the chains should be the medium used by this escaped criminal to perform his Aoling technique, and judging by the sight before him, the effect of his Aoling technique should be to simply increase the destructive power of the chains.

However, although the effect of Goda Aoling Technique was simple and straightforward, the power displayed was exceptionally powerful, even with Yechen's flesh that had been refined through the nightmare nowadays, he would definitely suffer from a serious injury even if he received a blow head-on.

Defence was not Yechen's strong point, so naturally he would avoid it and never get into a hard fight with his prey.

In the smoke that filled the air, a huge figure stepped on the wreckage of the wooden house and slowly emerged.

Goda, who had easily destroyed a house, was wearing a smile full of mockery and hunger on his face as he stared dead ahead at the teenager.

But Yechen, without being told, turned and darted away again, like a rabbit trying to escape from a wolf's mouth.

"Ha, I won't let you go with the food in your mouth!"

Seeing his opponent reveal a symbol of cowardice to his back, the wildness within Goddard burst forth, driving him to instantly begin a wild chase towards Yechen.

Even though Yechen's hands were nimble and kept on dodging and moving, on the spacious snowy ground, Goda was still able to use his advantage of having long hands and feet to keep on closing the distance between the two sides, and soon caught up with Yechen's back.

After confirming that the target had already entered his own attack range, Goda immediately raised his arm, intending to whip the chain wrapped around it towards Yechen's head, thus putting an end to the farce in front of him, and ultimately enjoying a good meal.

However, at this very moment, his bare paws suddenly stepped into an extremely inconspicuous shallow pit in the snow.

In the next moment, the sound of some kind of organ in operation suddenly rang out.

Click!

Goda looked down in surprise and realised that it was his right foot that had stepped into a trap that had already been placed in the snow, presumably something Yechen had set earlier.

Heh, this kid is sinister, but unfortunately, this tactic won't work on me!

Goda indifferently skimmed his mouth, he possessed extreme confidence in his strong physical body, even bullets and gunpowder could not tear his skin nowadays, how could stepping on this unusual trap have any effect on him?

However, just as Goda was weighing this in his mind, attempting to shift his attention to the young man in front of him once again, a sharp pain immediately surged into his mind, causing Goda's body to shiver.

"Huh?"

Goda looked down towards his right leg along with the sharp pain, and found that the trap, which was clearly made of ordinary iron, had not only penetrated his sturdy flesh, but had also twisted the bones of his foot therein to the point of distortion.

Countless bright red liquid splashed out from the jagged sharp instrument, Goda's right leg, in just this instant, just like an ordinary person, the sharp serrated teeth of the trap was crushed to waste.

"Huh-!?"

Goda was puzzled, shocked, and looked with incredulity at the suddenness of the situation at his feet.

On the other side of the room, Yechen, who had originally fled, had long since stopped where he was and raised his silver revolver with a calm face.

Minutes before Yechen officially launched his attack on the cabin, Yechen had anticipated the possibility of the attack failing and the prey coming after him in turn, which is why he planted the trap nearby in advance, and then looked for an opportunity to lure his target into triggering it.

Of course, as the "one who hears its song" who had experienced the same first nightmare as Goda, Yechen naturally understood that an ordinary trap would probably not have any effect on the target. However, once stained with Yechen's blood, the trap would not be ordinary under the reinforcement of the Aoling technique.

And this is exactly the information that Yechen got through the experiment yesterday, his blood can strengthen the cutting effect of all sharp weapons, right now this blood-stained trap is the important backhand used to deal with Goda.

The revolver in the teenager's hand was already firing as the fugitive reached down, ready to force the trap open by brute force.

Blood-red bullets, bursting out under the explosion of sparks.

Goddard's mind was completely down, and his body had become dull and sluggish and broken from the jaws of the trap.

But I don't know whether it was the instinct of the line between life and death, or pure luck, at the same moment when Yechen shot, he inadvertently sidestepped his upper body, resulting in the 『Blood Bullet』, which was originally aimed at Goda's heart, directly deflected into Goda's left shoulder, and didn't cause him to die on the spot.

Yet even then, things didn't get much better for Goddard.

Because the next moment the 'blood bullet' penetrated the skin, it was like a stone smashed into the water, exploding into a circle of bright red blood flowers.

Boo!

In a splash of blood, Goddard's left shoulder exploded.

His entire left arm, like a flying fish out of water, was shaken into the air.

In a short moment, Goda's upper body was a bloody mess, deep to the bone.
