chapter 6 : gorda the fugitive

It was like the sound of a gale and an earthquake.

And after Goda subconsciously closed his eyes and gave his full attention to listening, a terrifying intuition ran through his brain like a spear, causing his brain to produce some kind of inexplicable idea.

Is that the voice of some giant thing?

With a flash of such thoughts, Goda's spirit was instantly fragmented by an unnameable force, and an intense feeling of nausea began to wildly bombard Goda's flesh, as his will began to crumble, and his emotions began to run riot.

As he slashed his cheeks with his fingertips in splashes of blood, the more he looked at the black silk he stepped on at his feet, the more it looked like his naturally thick hand hairs, and the more he looked at the chains scattered around him, the more it looked like the shackles and hoops that bound his life.

Then he rages, he hisses, and finally awakens from his nightmare.

Upon awakening from the dream, Goda spiralled in amazement and realised that his body had undergone a horrific mutation.

No longer short and skinny, he became tall and strong, and feeling the strange energy that filled his limbs, the gift from the Labyrinth of Aoling, Goda was convinced that he had finally reached a turning point in his life.

Since then, his temperament has changed so much that no one bullies him anymore, because he is the one who bullies others, whether it is the hooligans outside or the murderous wife at home, from now on, the tough and violent Goddard is no longer the victim, but rather, he has become a complete victimiser.

Revenge, bullying, violence, pleasure, crime, addiction.

Time flew by, and in the end, Goda met the end of his recklessness, which was to be fully wanted by White Frost City.

Defeated by that overwhelming disparity in numbers, Goda was eventually captured by the city's guards, and the Lord of White Frost City decided to hang him the following day.

However, even though the guards believed that Goddard was born with strange powers and had specially handcuffed him with a set of customised, weighted handcuffs and huge ankle cuffs, these Muggles, who were unaware of the existence of the Power of Aoling, misjudged Goddard's strength.

He easily ripped the chains from his hands as well as his feet at a point in time when no one was looking, and used them as a weapon to break down the walls of the prison late that night, and simply escaped right out of White Frost City.

And Gorda's final destination was this deserted village nestled beneath a snowy mountain church, far from the city of White Frost.

Here, Goddard hides while thinking about how he's going to carry on with his crazy life.

"Hee hee hee hee, I am favoured by it, but I am the chosen one, so no one can kill me! No one can do it! The plague of blood and light is bound to fall on the head of every fool who defies me! Heeheeheeheeheeheehee-!"

In the ruins of the village, Goda, huddled somewhere within the only hut that could withstand the flying snow, grinned hideously as he muttered nervously to himself, revealing his dirty, yellowed fangs.

Back in time, Yechen pressed down the hammer with his fingertips, and without hesitation, he fired three shots directly at his target, however, these three shots were all bronze-coloured bullets, and he didn't play the 『Blood Bullet』 undercard in the first place.

Bang, bang, bang!

Three series of shots broke the dead silence of the village, and three bullet holes sent fluff flying from the blanket that wrapped the dark figure.

Yechen's three rounds hit the target with precision, however, the opposite side only shifted a bit due to the sudden impact, but did not react in any way as a creature should, not to mention not seeing any bright red liquid splash out.

Sure enough, it was just a decoy!

Yechen's hunch wasn't wrong, since the other party was someone who would purposely place a wire device a hundred metres around, it was naturally impossible for them to be lying in the most conspicuous position within the cabin.

What was wrapped inside the blanket was just a dummy made up of various objects, the real prey must have been hidden in the blind spot that Yechen could not observe directly from the outdoor area!

Crackle!

At the very moment when Yechen had so concluded in his mind, the broken window at the side of the cabin suddenly resounded with the commotion of broken glass, and a huge black shadow tumbled out of it, as if it had long been prepared to meet the incoming enemy.

The true face of Godard, the escaped convict, is finally revealed to Yechen at this moment.

The pointed ears at the back of the head, the deep concave and dark green eyes, and the snow-white and pimply skin were the physical features of the White Frosts, the only Homo sapiens in the Hidden Realm of Eternal Winter, whom Yechen knew well.

However, the White Frosts were usually of similar stature to humans, but the Goda who appeared in Yechen's field of vision was a full two and a half metres tall, with a frighteningly thick physique.

He wore a tattered prisoner rags, his two bare hands and feet were wrapped in circles of chains, full of muscle lines and writhing veins, the fangs in his mouth were even sharper and more convex, even more terrifying than ordinary beasts, and the whole looked just like a monster coming out of the deep forests.

The moment Goda revealed his true form, Yechen aimed his revolver at his target, but seeing that Goda was just staring at himself dead in the face after he rolled out of the window, and hadn't made any movement for the time being, Yechen naturally wasn't in a hurry to pull the trigger.

"You're not from White Frost City?"

"No you don't even look like a White Frost."

"What the hell are you?"

After Goda met Yechen at eye level and saw the young man's face, his originally hostile and furious look was instantly covered by curiosity and shock, and he forgot to move for a while.

After all, Goda had never before seen a being like Yechen who stood on two legs shaped like a White Frost man, but with vastly different features, and thus couldn't help but open his mouth to voice a question in White Frost.

Although Yechen had often travelled to White Frost to make purchases for his daily life, as Lyle had instructed, he always wore a cloak and mask when he entered the city, and so the residents of the city had never discovered that there were Homo sapiens of a different race from his own living in the Hidden Realm of Neverwinter.

But unlike the inquisitive Goda, Yechen was well aware of the opposite side of the table, and had absolutely no intention of making small talk in his mind.

Taking advantage of his opponent's stillness, he flung out his revolver's magazine with a quick motion of his hand, emptied and reloaded the three cartridges, carefully adjusted the position of the rotating wheel, and at the next moment when Godard was about to open his mouth, the three bronze-coloured bullets of Yechen's were again in motion with the sparks.

Bang, bang, bang!

Three shots were fired, but no blood was seen.

The moment Yechen fired, Goddard had raised his arms to protect both his face as well as his crotch.

The bullets fired by Yechen struck him in the chest, stomach and thighs, but Goddard's body only took a step back, and immediately stood firmly on its feet.

The power of the three bullets only left shallow bruises on his epidermis, beyond that it was impossible to even knock Goda to the ground.

This flesh is too much too Is this the effect of the nightmare too? What exactly is the difference between him and what I did? If I have another nightmare in the future, might I also become like him?

Without a word, Yechen stared at the fugitive, Golda, as his hand continued to load up his ammo, while all sorts of fantastic thoughts continued to float through his mind.

And after defending himself against Yechen's shots, Goda slapped away the three slugs that had sunk into his skin and distorted his shape with a look of relief, then twisted his neck and let out a crisp klaxon sound, apparently having expected that ordinary ammunition would no longer pose much of a threat to his physical body.

"Don't know where you came from or why you attacked me though, just"

"No matter what strange creature it is, if it has meat, it can be used to fill its stomach! It seems that the sincerity of my prayers, which I endured for a day of hunger and still did not forget, did reach it."

"And you are the reward of my sincerity, that is, its reward for my piety!"

In the blink of an eye, Goda's expression became hideous and frightening again, his mouth of yellow teeth grinning in a half-circle as he began to continuously ooze excited saliva, and his body exuded an extreme berserk aura.
