Logan sat in the war room with his mentor, Goran, studying the maps and reports laid out before him. The situation was dire, and they both knew it. An army of unknown origin was approaching, and they were vastly outnumbered.
"What do you make of it, Goran?" Logan asked, his brow furrowed in concern.
Goran sighed and ran a hand through his graying hair.
"I've sent scouts to gather intelligence, but so far we've been unable to determine their numbers or their intentions. All we know is that they're coming, and they're coming fast."
Logan nodded, his mind racing. He had always known that being a king would come with its challenges, but he had never expected anything like this. He was determined to protect his kingdom and its people, but he wasn't sure how he was going to do it.
"We could send a small squadron to intercept them," Goran suggested. "We might be able to take them out before they even reach our borders."
Logan shook his head.

"I don't think that would be wise. From what I can tell, they're hoping we'll do exactly that. They want us to come out onto the open plains, where they can use guerrilla tactics against us."
Goran nodded in agreement. "You're right. We can't afford to underestimate them. But what other options do we have?"
Logan thought for a moment, his mind racing. He knew that he had to come up with a plan, and he had to come up with it fast. Finally, an idea began to form in his mind.
"We'll need to gather all the resources we have," Logan said. "Food, weapons, supplies, whatever we can get our hands on. And we'll need to start fortifying the city. We need to make it as strong and as defensible as possible."
Goran nodded, a look of determination in his eyes. "I'll get started on that right away. What about the people? What do we tell them?"
Logan sighed and rubbed his temples.
"We'll need to be careful with what we say. We don't want to panic them, but we can't afford to hide the truth from them either. We'll need to be as transparent as possible and keep them informed of what's happening. They're going to be scared, but we need to show them that we're in this together and that we're going to do everything we can to protect them."
Goran nodded in agreement.
"I'll see to it that the word is spread. And I'll make sure that everyone is prepared for whatever comes our way."
Logan nodded, grateful for Goran's support. He knew that he couldn't do this alone, and he was glad to have such a wise and experienced mentor by his side.
