Chapter 89: The Nadasil Forest

Chapter 89: The Nadasil Forest

"The Troll tribe that came to this continent a thousand years ago?"

Silvanus slowly fell silent, pondering for a moment before finally recalling the event.

Around a thousand years ago, a large tribe of intelligent beings had indeed passed through the forest outside this oak grove.

However, that tribe hadn't approached this oak grove at the time, nor had they disturbed the Treefolk. The Treefolk, who were usually in a deep slumber, had ignored them.

But the Father of Oaks possessed the wisdom of a demigod, able to instinctively record everything that happened around him.

In his memory, the large tribe passed through the forest, heading towards the center of the continent.

Although he didn't know what Jano was looking for this tribe for, he didn’t intend to stop him and told him the truth.

"If you trust me, continue along this direction until you reach the center of the continent. You should be able to find them there."

Jano nodded upon hearing this. He didn't think the Father of Oaks would lie to him about this, as there was no benefit in it for him.

Standing in mid-air, overlooking the forest like a vast ocean, as well as the radiant Treefolk settlement, he suddenly asked before leaving.

"Silvanus, how many years have you existed since your birth?"

"Tens of thousands of years, perhaps. Why do you ask?"

The Father of Oaks was puzzled.

"Nothing. Farewell!"

Jano revealed a smile, turned around, and flew towards the center of the continent.

According to the timeline, tens of thousands of years ago was the Primordial Era.

The Father of Oaks, like the Titans and Primordial Dragons of the Ferland continent, was a powerful being that appeared in the world during the same period.

Since the Ferland continent could give birth to so many Titans and Primordial Dragons, these powerful demigods, then the Finordon continent, even if the creatures on it were not as powerful as the Titans and Primordial Dragons of Ferland, should have given birth to many powerful and ancient creatures after tens of thousands of years of accumulation.

Just like the Father of Oaks before him.

However, they did not dominate the continent like the Titans and Dragons, but were scattered throughout the continent, not subordinate to each other. And no wars had occurred between the demigod races, so quite a few of them still remained.

Realizing that the Finordon continent was not simple, Jano became much more serious on the following journey.

Soon after, he crossed the vast forest where the oak grove was located and arrived above a vast swamp.

A large Lizardfolk tribe lived here, with a demigod-level Swamp Behemoth as their totem and master.

Jano had excellent eyesight. At that time, the Lizardfolk tribe was holding a ritual.

Originally, Jano had no interest in this Swamp Behemoth hidden deep in the swamp, but this fellow, seeing Jano flying carelessly over the swamp and stopping in mid-air to observe the Lizardfolk ritual, with an unparalleled imposing manner and eyes full of malice, scared the Lizardfolk into stopping their ritual.

The Swamp Behemoth was clearly enraged, roared, and chased after him.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

"The world’s malice actually has such wonderful uses?"

Jano was both surprised and delighted, so he led the Swamp Behemoth away from the swamp. The platinum moon shone completely for the first time on the Finordon continent!

After a fierce battle, Jano granted this demigod behemoth a peaceful death and brought the corpse back to the Platinum Throne. He then suppressed another Authority, making the Law of Judgment even stronger!

The commotion of this demigod battle was too great, and the news of Jano slaying the Swamp Behemoth was quickly noticed by the strongmen of western Finordon.

The closest, the Father of Oaks, was the first to know about his reckless neighbor.

After all, the circle of demigods was so small.

He gazed eastwards, feeling the vast will, sharp as a knife, coming from the swamp, and sighed:

"To possess the world’s malice yet dare to walk freely in the world must be a powerful and confident being. This big lizard truly lacks brains, having lived for so many years in vain."

"However, this big lizard had been somewhat mentally unstable many years ago, tending towards bestiality. I wonder if something went wrong with his cultivation.”

He closed his eyes again.

Inside the Great Swamp,

The large Lizardfolk tribe was in a panic.

Their totem and faith had been slain before their eyes by a winged man who descended from the sky. Everyone was terrified.

A few days later,

A Lizardfolk warrior finally walked out of the swamp and arrived at the scene of the battle.

He did not find the totem’s corpse, but there was a large patch of blood that had not yet dried.

Filled with grief, he lowered his head and drank a few mouthfuls.

As a result, this demigod blood, purified by the Law of Judgment, did not kill him but instead produced a wonderful transformation.

His body became even taller, and his extraordinary talent became even stronger.

After returning, this Lizardfolk warrior seized the position of tribe chief.

The Lizardfolk royal family of Finordon was thus born.

Beyond the Great Swamp was a vast, ocean-like grassland.

In the sky above this grassland, Jano saw countless creatures and wild animals inhabiting it, both magical beasts and ordinary beasts.

It was midsummer, and a winding river flowed through this great grassland.

Countless animals drank at the riverbank. Magical beasts stood upstream, and ordinary beasts kept a distance, only daring to approach after the magical beasts had finished drinking.

After slaughtering a few magical beasts for dinner, Jano continued his journey with Little Tortoise.

Flying across this long river and into the depths of the grassland, Jano discovered.

In the center of this great grassland, there was a considerable group of lions with golden fur. Regardless of size, these lions all had the radiance of extraordinary power.

The powerful lions even reached the Legendary realm and possessed considerable intelligence.

Clearly, this was a powerful extraordinary race.

Everyone here was extraordinary!

And what Jano saw was a mysterious ruin standing inexplicably in the depths of the grassland, emitting an ominous aura.

Within it, a powerful demigod aura was also leaking out, much stronger than the previous Swamp Behemoth.

When his gaze fell upon it, a domineering and powerful aura suddenly erupted from within the ruins!

It seemed like a domineering king was expelling intruders.

Vaguely, he saw a majestic golden lion standing between heaven and earth, with thick fur and a golden body!

Clearly, the golden lions outside were all his descendants.

Facing the oppressive aura of the golden lion demigod, Jano revealed a smile.

He simply stood above this golden lion tribe, also releasing a vast kingly aura, descending as if from the ninth heaven, even more domineering and majestic!

He stared at the figure of the golden lion demigod within the ruins.

After a long time, the aura within the ruins finally weakened and eventually disappeared.

Immediately.

"Hehe."

A light laugh echoed across this vast and boundless grassland.

For a time, only the sound of the wind blowing could be heard across the entire grassland.

These demigods of Finordon only knew how to huddle in their own nests, not daring to leave their comfort zones.

They were nothing like Jano's previous lizard friend, who was warm and hospitable.

Below,

On the great grassland,

All the golden lions, under Jano’s imposing aura, fell to the ground, not daring to breathe loudly.

The lion king, the leader, even buried his head low, his heart filled with panic.

"In these years, I have seen some silver-haired, winged birdmen, but none as terrifying as the one before me."

After a long silence,

A thought suddenly popped into his mind.

“I wonder if those birdmen in the Nadasil Great Forest, no, those beautiful Winged, like lionesses?”

He had never seen such a powerful being who dared to be so presumptuous above his ancestor’s head, and whose ancestor even showed weakness.

So, even long after Jano left, the legendary lion king kept his head lowered, not daring to look up.

Jano left the depths of the grassland and continued east.

Flying over valleys, crossing mountains, and passing over plains, he finally arrived at the edge of a vast forest.

Standing beneath the clouds, he saw from afar villages appearing in the forest.

The residents of these villages still resembled Trolls, but their faces had become much softer.

Their bodies were not as burly and robust as Trolls, and their height had also decreased.

If he had to describe them, Jano thought they were somewhere between Trolls and Elves.
