Aniik is unable to comprehend what Hellva just told her. She made it all the way to the Desicion Making Department. She apologised to Hellva and gained her trust. She broke the ice with the twin Demonic lords, initiated an important discussion that would expose Sachrist's secrets through the Pandonomicon and... She is now met with this nonesense?
"The only entry in the Pandonomicon that has no results is Sachrist..."
Aniik- Wha...?
It's as Hellva said earlier. The conversation simply cannot be one sided. It's not as straightforward as Aniik asking the question and Hellva answering them.
Hellva- Aniik, we need your help as well. Alone, none of us can figure this out. We all need to talk about this together. That's the only way we can learn the truth behind the New World...
Despite being frightened, Aniik gulps and nods. In a more determined voice than earlier, she then resumes the discussion.
Aniik- Alright everybȫdy. We will restart the discussion and present all the information we know nice and slow. I'll use this notebook over here to write down some stuff if we need to connect facts together and make progress on our investigation.
Eveybody nods and starts a long talk lead by Aniik and Hellva.
Aniik- Hellva. Even though Sachrist doesn't pop up in the Pandonomicon as an entry, do you have anything else on him from some other source?
Hellva- Yes. I do know some stuff that will probably come in handy later.
Aniik- Good.
Out of nowhere, Akane comes forth and speaks her mind
Akane- Wait wait, am I dumb or shouldn't we start the conversation once we're all on the same page? Aniik over here spat out some nonesense earlier about us being responsible.
Aoi- Yeah, you're dumb Akane.
"Whaaaaaaat?!" shouts Akane but is soon stopped by the wise Hellva.
Hellva- Akane is crucially right. Aniik tell us. What has Sachrist even told you about?
Aniik- It's a lot of things he said but here's the gist of it. After meeting a crisis, the Demonic Council communicated via the Dark Essence with the Overworld's Faith Organization and formed the Demonic Organization. Their leader, Akane, was so selfish and evil that she manipulated her kind sister and together aimed to break the Barrier and conquer the New World with the help of the Faith Organization.
Hellva is shocked to hear such a crazy, fabricated story.
Hellva- This is so messed up... This story is based on some true things which, however, have been altered and corrupted, making them utter disgusting lies.
Hellva's last comment is unfortunately, undeniably true. As the twins will explain in a moment, Sachrist's version of the story suggests that he was more or less writing fiction.
Aoi- Although you can theoretically transmit a signal or a faint random sound with the Dark Essence, telecommunication is clearly impossible. It's a really far fetched idea.
Akane- Yeah, and the demonic council is independent. We have never communicated with any other groups, not just the Faith Organization.
Aoi- Not to mention that it wasn't Akane who got me to her evil side, right sister?
Akane nods.
Akane- It was the other way around actually. Aoi was the one who brought me to the good side. Even though I have no recollection of my stupid actions, the others told me that once I became a Demonic Lord, I suddenly turned violent and acted selfishly. But then, Aoi came to my resque. Twins as we are, one couldn't leave the other behind, especially in the dark.
Aoi- In the end, both of us became cheerful and happy again, just like you see us now!
Aniik now understands. Whatever Sachrist told her about, it was untrue. The true version of the story will unfold shortly.
Hellva- Now that that's outta the way, Aniik would you mind telling us anything suspicious that you've noticed about Sachrist when you two were allies?
Aniik- Certainly. I'll start with the first thing I noticed when I was asked to inform Kallian in the Lingering World. There, I learned that the Lingering World is the real land in a state of crisis and that the Accursed assults have multiplied uncontrollably, throwing the country in utter chaos.
But if we connect this with my own experience, things get suspicious. A while ago, when the worlds were still separated, I travelled to the Lingering World and secretly took part in an Accursed meeting. There, they were planning this exact same thing that became reality later. Riots, bombardments, utter chaos, you name it. These events weren't random, but were in development for a long time.
And here's the most suspicious thing. In their meeting, the Accursed said that they had a mysterious funder and supporter, who was economically sustaining them for a long time. The only explanation I can think of is that this secretive figure is in reality Sachrist.
Hellva / Akane / Aoi- ?!
Aniik- The timing of these attacks are really precise. Whoever command those pawns is well aware of what is going on and has planned it all in advance. Only the Omniscient Archangel would have these two properties. To know exactly when to command his pawns, and to financially support them, as the Lingering World's most prominent figure.
Hellva and the others are really shocked. Why would Sachrist turn against his own country?
Aoi- Then that means that Sachrist is... not only an Angel, but a member of the Accursed..?
Hellva- More like the hidden leader of the Accursed... Working behind the scenes, he is the Accursed Angel...
Akane- Okay, now we do have evidence to support that Sachrist is the one who destroyed the Barrier. If he is working with the Accursed, who want to destroy the Barrier, then he shares similar beliefs. He wants to gain power by creating the New World.
Aniik- I agree with your first point. Sachrist must have broken the Barrier of his own accord. I think we can all agree on that. But is this really all there is to it? Did he break the Barrier just because he has the exact same beliefs as the Accursed? I don't think that's the case here...
Hellva agees with Aniik's claim and builds up on it.
Hellva- Aniik is right. Sachrist does not seek power. That's definitely not the case.
Aoi- Then what the hell does he want? Why would he break the Barrier, kill millions of people and then conduct assults targeted at his own country's foundations? Isn't he their leader?
Aniik- Wait. What if those three points share different purposes...?
Akane- Elaborate.
Aniik explains her train of thought.
Aniik- We can't explain why he wanted to break the Barrier yet, but it was not just to kill people. On the contrary, the millions of people who died were not part of his plan. That's just unwanted consequences.
Aoi- Then that means that the Accursed Assaults weren't meant to just murder people?
Aniik- Precisely. The assults serve a different purpose. Why would Sachrist want to disrupt his country's commitee of justice and the head of the governemt?
The others wait for Aniik to answer her own posed question.
Aniik- If I were him, I'd want nobody to ever be able to find out what I did and judge my actions. If the country was alive and active, then the higher-ups would eventually expose whatever Sachrist is plotting and condemn him. Attacking those committees serves that purpose. To clearly avoid exposing his plan and at the same time creating more chaos that's needed to pursuade everyone for the severity of the situation.
Akane- To cover up his tracks, huh..? Clever bastard...
The discussion is momentarily posed, as they have nothing else to talk about at the moment.
Hellva- Aniik, do you have anything else related to Sachrist to share with us?
Aniik's trying to think of anything else to talk about, but her mind seems blank. There's got to be something else that exposes Sachrist's intentions. There's got to be. "Think, think!" Says Aniik to herself, but nothing changes. The thought that this might be the end of the discussion scares her to death. This can't be how it all ends. They have no other choice but to find out the truth!
And at that moment, when all hope seemed lost, Hellva reveals the secret ace she has up her sleeve.
Hellva- If you have nothing else to say, then I think it's time to reveal my trump card. Pandonomicon!
Everyone is surprised when they see this one-of-a-kind, really heavy, old book appear in the middle of the table and shortly after, fall and make a loud sound on impact.
Aniik- Wait, didn't you say that the Pandonomicon has no information about Sachrist?
Hellva- For these past 400 years, this is correct. But before that...
"No way..." they all exclaim.
Hellva- I can tell you a bit about Sachrist as a person, before the Barrier was created.
Aniik- I thought that was impossible! That's great!
Aniik is starting to be hopeful again.
Akane- How does this work again? Did the Barrier eliminate the entry "Sachrist" or what?
Hellva- No, that's not the case. 410 years ago, the final war between Demons and Lingerians ,just before the creation of the Barrier, ended with the Lingerians "victorious". Even though we only lost 20% of our troups, the end result was decided. The war ended with a contract. The Demonic Council at the time signed a contract accepting our defeat to minimize the amount of deaths.
One of the many conditions of the contract was the following. Sachrist placed an incantation on the contract stating that "In order for us to retreat, the Pandonomicon will have to lose a great portion of its power." And this lost power as you can probably tell is complete loss of information regarding the Omniscient Archangel, Sachrist.
Ever since then, the Pandonomicon forever lost all its information on the Omniscient Archangel and whatever he has involved himself with.
Aniik- Oof...
Hellva takes in a deep breath and continues.
Hellva- But the Pandonomicon's predecessor wasn't naive. Before accepting the contract, he made a replica of that old Pandonomicon. As he didn't know what Sachrist meant by "losing a portion of its power", he made this copy in order to at least keep everything till that point intact.
Hellva gets up and picks up a book from a huge bookcase. After that, she sits down again and positions this old replica of the Pandonomicon in the middle of the table, right next to the original one.
Aniik- It is much smaller than the original.
Akane- And a lot older.
Akane wipes the dust off of it and blows the rest of it away.
Hellva- Despite being scarce, this is the only source information about Sachrist that the we have. This old version of the Pandonomicon is our last saving grace.
Aniik spontaneously opens the book on a random page and examines its contents.
Aniik- It takes me back, reading through all these small letters in order to find the important stuff.
Hellva- Excuse my wording, but yeah, it's a pain in the ass. Normal books like these doesn't have the luxury the original Pandonomicon has, that is searching for something and instantly getting the results on your page. Especially in this one, I always use a magnifying glass when I'm reading. Do you want one, Aniik?
As a hunter in nature, Aniik's vision is far greater than the average person's.
Aniik- Nah, I'm okay. I'll find it by myself.
Five minutes pass by but she hasn't spotted the name Sachrist yet. The apparent frustration in Aniik's face makes Hellva sigh and say the following "Uh... It's page 204 Aniik..."
Aniik- Oh right! I barely missed that! Hehe...
(Aniik was looking on pages 420-421)
Hellva averts her gaze and says a doubtful "yeah.."
Aoi- What does it say?!
Akane- What does it say?!
Aniik- It's written in the format of a story. Do you want me to read it out loud?
All demons, even Hellva who has already read it, look at each other decisively and then pay attention to Aniik as she starts reciting the story. Not some random story from long ago. Sachrist's past from over 420 years ago is finally illuminated.
---------------------------------------------------
September 20th, Year 20 Before Barrier (B.B.)
In an orphanage located in the outskirts of Saintdom, near a small village isolated from the world, there lived a young boy named Sachrist (14 y/o) and his younger sister named Hisami (13 y/o).
At the time, the older brother had short dark hair and the same brown green eyes (we all know about). The younger sister was an extraordinarily pretty girl for her age. She had long, blondhair with a blooming white flower as a hairpin and stunning, sparkling, light purple eyes.
Since the ages of 8 and 10, Hisami and Sachrist had always been together in this isolated orphanage. They had spent very little time with their parents. At a really young age, they lost their mother in a car accident and their father went missing shortly after. His death was confirmed 3 months later.
Contrary to her brother, who's tough in nature, Hisami has a really fragile character and is easily affected by things. As a result, it took Hisami a long time to get over this tragedy compared to Sachrist.
Since then, they have had noone else to take care of them except for themselves. Through thick and thin, they had survived by protecting each other. This extremely strong sibling bond Sachrist and Hisami had was surely one of a kind.
But even when they both got over that tragic event, life was not going smooth sailing for them at all. The orphanage isn't the ideal place to grow up and if there are a lot of teenange kids, it's difficult to keep everyone under control. Even more so when they have a reason to be aggressive.
???- Give me that, Hisami. You don't need that sandwich, do you?
With obvious hesitance in her words, Hisami responds.
Hisami- I--I haven't eaten anything a-all day... I really n-need it...
???- You know, Hisami, I don't give a damn. This place is going to close down for good due to the lack of funds. Do you see those guys over there?
The teenage deliquent boy points with his index finger at his buddies who are all glaring at her.
???- Together, we are collecting whatever food we can to survive longer when this orphanage finally crumbles.
"This is mine..."
The boy snatches the sandwich from Hisami's hands.
Hisami really needs that sandwich. But scared as she is, she couldn't possibly get it back by force. Hisami tries another way.
Hisami- I--I can be of some h-help too. May I join your group, p-please?
The boy bursts into laughter and signals his friends to "come and check this out!"
???- The daughter of Dr. Blackeye, the serial killer who's responsible for some of us being here? She wants to join us?
After a small pause, everyone starts laughing.
"You good up here?"
"Haven't you two pieces of shit learned your place?"
"We should perhaps give them a taste of their own medicine!"
They all start surrounding Hisami with malicious intent.
Hisami- No, p-please!
At the perfect moment, someone gets between Hisami and the gank of deliquent teenagers, stopping them all in their tracks.
Her caring brother shouts at the top oh his lungs.
Sachrist- GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER!
"How obnoxious..."
The target of the gank changes from Hisami to Sachrist.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"How dare you raise your voice, you dipshit... LET'S BEAT HIM UP!"
Punches, kicks, slaps... Hell itself rains upon Sachrist.
Sachrist- Don't look! Hisami!
Hisami wants to help her older brother, but she is unable to move. She's petrified with fear.
"That should make our intentions clear. Let's leave, guys."
Sachrist has multiple bruises, scars and he is bleeding in a lot of places. After seeing him in such a bad state, Hisami tears up and tries to clean his blood off of his arms and legs with a handkerchief.
Hisami- I'm sorry, Sachrist...
Sachrist wipes the blood on his lips and calms Hisami down.
Sachrist- Don't worry, Hisami. I'm okay.
Hisami- But... you're hurt...
Sachrist- This? This is nothing! If it means that you're safe, I don't feel the pain at all! You are my precious little sister, after all...
With a pensive expression on her face, Hisami nods and helps Sachrist go to the director of the orphanage. What the two siblings ask of him is for a rudimentary first aid kit. But even that, the orphanage doesn't provide for those two.
Director- You see, we're short on first aid kits, especially bandages. Phew these are really hard to find nowadays! Off you go then.
Sachrist stares at something in the room.
Director- Didn't you hear me? Go back to your room.
Sachrist gives the director an ominous glare before leaving. Pretty reasonably so. Next to his desk there was an unopened cardboard that read "first aid kits".
Nobody liked those two apparently. Even the director of the orphanage they were living in. After their father, Dr Blackeye, murdered tons of parents in his serial killer phase, the orphanage was bombarded with helpless new children every day.
The demands the children had for the orphanage were too great and the lack of funds made it really difficult for it to operate. There was shortage in food, rooms, clothes, you name it. That's why even the director mistreated Blackeye's children. Dr Blackeye was the reason that his orphanage was about to close down for good...
And a few days after this event, the orphanage did close down. Every orphan packed up whatever belongings they had and were ready to leave. Most of them had good manners and the director sent them to families that were up for adoption.
Those who had mischievious behavior and were definitely not for adoption left the orphanage on their own volition and survived as a group. Since they had gathered and stolen food for an entire year, that kept them going until they could all move out to a nearby city in search for a better future.
Only two of these orphans did not fall into any category. Sachrist and Hisami. After being kicked out of the inoperational orphange, the siblings travelled for miles on foot with no food or water at their disposal.
They walked and walked. The soles of their shoes were starting to come off. Yet they never stopped moving forwards. They needed to find literally anything. Even an abandoned store, or an empty house would be fine. If it had water, that'd be great. Food? Coudln't get more heavenly.
And when all hope seemed lost, a miracle happens. At the end of the road they are walking along, there is a beautiful wooden house with all lights out.
Sachrist- An abandoned house?! We're saved, Hisami!
Hisami- Thank the stars, Sachrist!
They both speed up their pacing and start running towards the house. To make sure nobody's in there, they knock on the door twice.
Sachrist- No answer.
Sachrist looks left and right and sees noone in the vicinity. Since the sun is almost down, he tells Hisami "We'll get in through the window."
Hisami nods, picks up a nearby rock and hands it over to her older brother. Sachrist has a really accurate aim, whereas Hisami is a bit clumsy, so she trusted him with it.
Sachrist- Ha! Bingo!
Sachrist throws the rock and breaks the rear window. He then steps back to gather enough momentum to make the jump. After successfully making it in, he holds out his hand and helps Hisami get in as well.
For an abandoned house it was really well-maintained and stunningly clean. Pretty spacious too. One would wonder why it was abandoned in the first place.
But what stood out to the two siblings the most wasn't the aforementioned fact, but something of greater importance to them.
Sachrist / Hisami- There's... WATER!
The room they jumped in was the kitchen. And on the kitchen table, magnificently stood a bottle of water. It goes without saying that the two of them drank the whole bottle of water without second thought.
After putting down the empty bottle however, Hisami hears a disturbing sound. A peculiarly scary howling of a wolf, coming from inside the abandoned house.
Sachrist (whispering)- Shh! Don't make a sound!
Approaching faster and faster the "wolf" ecentually sniffs his way inside the kitchen, circles around the kitchen table and catches the burglars!
"Woof! Woof!" the cute doggy happily barks upon seeing them.
Hisami- Owww! He's so cute!
Sachrist- Yeah, I can't believe we were this scared by...
Sachrist reads the name on the dog's label.
"Alexander..."
"Woof!"
Sachrist- Yeah, that's his name.
Hisami takes a look at Alexander's empty bowl and sighs.
Hisami- He must be so hungry... The bowl's been empty for a long time...
"But why is a dog in this abandoned house?" ponders Sachrist.
Ironically so, as if he'd heard Sachrist's thoughts, the owner of the house steps in after 5 days of being gone and answers that question for him.
The door is unlocked. Sachrist and Hisami widen their eyes.
"Alexander..? Where are you--"
A man in his 30's opens the lights in the kitchen and sees the three of them.
???- Who the fuck are you?
Sachrist- We're so sorry! We were just leaving!
Hisami- We just drank some water! Please don't hurt us!
The man has a disappointed look on his face and says the following, after seeing the dog wigging his tail.
"You are supposed to catch invaders not play with them, you good for nothing dog!"
"Woof!"
???- Ugh.... What are you two kids staring at? Get the fuck out--
The man stares deep into Hisami's beautiful light purple eyes and stops talking.
"Are you two perhaps... No way... Blackeye's children...?"
Since they have nothing else to lose, Sachrist risks it and speaks the truth.
Sachrist- Yes. I'm John Blackeye's son, Sachrist, and this is his daughter, Hisami. Did you know our father?
After 10 long seconds of being awestruck, the man answers.
???- Yes... We had been through a lot, to say the least... Back when we were young, we went to the same school and for the longest time, he was my best friend...
The 35 year-old man keeps staring at Hisami.
"You look exactly like Angela..."
Hisami- Like mom?
His hand almost touches Hisami's hair, but he forcefully takes it back.
???- I'm sorry. I should introduce myself, as well. My name is Gerald Jervanna. N-Nice to meet you, both. You can stay in here for as long as you like.
Hisami and Sachrist look at each other and smile. Alexander seems excited, too.
"Woof!"
Sachrist / Hisami- Thank you!
At that moment Hisami's tummy makes a funny noise.
Hisami- Um.. Sorry... Do you have anthing to eat? We're kinda.. starving...
Gerald- I was gone for a while, so I don't have anything special. Are you okay with instant noodles?
After seeing their expressions, Gerald is convinced. Three minutes later, the siblings gobble up a cup of instant noodles each. As soon as they finish, they thank Gerald.
Sachrist- Thank you for the meal, Gerald!
Hisami- Thanks!
Hisami looks at Alaxander who has yet to eat anything.
Hisami- By the way, isn't Alexander getting a treat as well?
Gerald- The dog? He must have eaten something while I was gone, don't worry. Besides, I don't have any dog food left. He's a real glutton you see, this fat pig! He could do without food for a while, am I right?! Ha Ha Ha!
Hisami is really sympathetic and she can't help but feel bad for Alexander. "Poor boy...". Sachrist also feels the same, but he doesn't question Gerald. They're in his debt right now. They have no say in how he does things.
Gerald thought that the kids would laugh together with him, but that isn't the case at all. They just look at him while trying to hide their uneasiness.
Out of nowhere, Gerald punches himself and murmurs "That wasn't funny, stupid Gerald..."
Gerald- I'm sorry, I need to go get my dose.
Gerald opens a drawer and grabs a small bag with white coloured dust in it. Hisami and Sachrist widen their eyes and think to themselves "Dad used to do the same thing..."
After taking his dose, Gerald feels more relaxed, as if his blood circulation was stronger and faster than ever. He hasn't felt more alive before.
Gerald- Ahhh... I really needed that... I feel much better now! Alright, when are you guys going to sleep anyway?
Sachrist- In a bit, I believe.
Gerald- Perfect! Then we do have time for dessert!
Hisami- Dessert?!
Gerald serves them a small amount of pudding that he has prepared for scenarios like these. Hisami tries the dessert out. She says it's yummy. On the other hand, Sachrist is already full and says he'll pass the dessert.
Gerald- No please! It's my recipe! You're Blackeye's son, you must try it out!
Seeing how happy Hisami seems, Sachrist feels a bit more eager to give it a try.
Sachrist- I'll try it out I guess.
Just before he does that however, he notices a certain small bottle next to the bag of the white dust. The size, shape, and colour remind him of something in a form of a flashback.
*-----------Flashback-----------*
Sachrist- What's that, dad?
Dr. Blackeye- This small bottle right here, Sachrist, is my favorite kind of medicine! Made out of hydrocarbons, this drug causes general anesthesia, putting your patient to sleep on command!
*-----------------------------------*
Sachrist widens his eyes the moment he realizes what is going on. Hisami abruptly loses her senses and her unconscious head touches the table.
Sachrist shouts the name "HISAMI!" and looks for Gerald who's left Sachrist's line of sight.
Behind his back, Gerald is holding a needle filled with the same anesthetic drug. While injecting it in the boy's neck, Gerald says the following with a voice that gradually gets less and less clear.
Gerald- Didn't your fucking father tell you not to trust strangers?
Sachrist loses his consciousness as well. The last thing he sees is Gerald taking Hisami and moving her somewhere...
——————————————————
Sachrist wakes up chained up in a bed he doesn't recognize. He tries to break free, but the chains on his hands and feet are too tight and tough for him to do so.
Gerald enters Sachrist's room and says "AHHH that felt sooo goooooood!"
Sachrist- WHAT IS GOING ON, GERALD? WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN HISAMI?
Gerald- She's in her room over there.
Sachrist- Has she not woken up yet?!
Gerald- She has. A long time now... Ahh... You missed out on all the FUN! You didn't you hear her SCREAMING from JOY EARLIER, DID YOU?
Sachrist- Doing what? Joy—
Sachrist is starting to realise what is going on. He slowly presses his hands against his head in denial. His mind is starting to break into pieces.
Gerald- Angela... The only woman I ever fell in love with... And John... My best friend who betrayed me. Who stole her from me. Who ditched me and forgot about me to start a new life with her. He who never spoke to me again...
My heart was for ever shattered into pieces...
But for the first time in ages, I experience the same feeling I had back then... Hisami... What a wonderful girl... Her beauty is... unparalleled... Just like hers...
Sachrist shouts the loudest he's ever had before.
Sachrist- I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!
Gerald- Hah... Hahahahaha! Are you jealous that I'm STEALING AWAY your LITTLE SISTER? HAHAHAHAHA!
Sachrist- YOU DRUG-REEKING PEDOPHILE! YOU MONSTER! LEAVE HISAMI ALONE!
Gerald makes a gesture with his index finger saying "no" and demonically laughs.
Gerald- How about another round? Ahh I feel like a teenager again...
Gerald swallows a pill and leaves the room without closing the door.
"I'll let you hear everything this time..."
With no shame, this monster proceeds to r@pe Hisami again...
Hisami's screams become louder by the second. They express the sheer physical and psychological pain she's experiencing. The tears she sheds could fill a bucket whole. This is the worst kind of torture a fragile 13-year old could ever go through. Her mind is starting to go blank from this madness. Her body and soul are not communicating anymore. She's broken. Hisami is forever broken and the damage inflicted is irrepairable.
Sachrist cries his heart out as well. He desperately screams his sister's name while trying to break free.
Sachrist- HISAMIIIIIIIII!
With enough force, his right hand squeezes its way out of the chain with the help of his blood. The pain is unbearable. But that doesn't stop him. Sachrist persists. Over the course of 5 hell-like minutes, Sachrist does the same thing for all his limbs.
After getting off the bed, he drops on the floor and almost loses consciousness from the unbearable pain. So determined is he, however, that he bites his lips while trying his best to get up and stand his ground again.
After getting a hold of himself, Sachrist slowly goes to the kitchen and equips himself with a knife, all while the monster is occupied in Hisami's bedroom. Sachrist almost trips on his way to that same bedroom. His blood marks the places he's been to and reveals his clear intentions.
"I'll kill him. I'll kill him. I WILL KILL HIM!"
Sachrist stands before the door, but he cannot hear Hisami's screams. He instead hears Gerald speaking.
Gerald- Now, I'm gonna beat the shit out of your brother, who's chained up in the next room! Stay right there, my sweet Hisami! I'll be right back for round three!
The monster has gotten the satisfaction he needed for now and is about to pay Sachrist another visit. Little did he know however, that He was the one getting an unwanted visitor.
Sachrist kicks the door and charges at Gerald while double handing the knife.
Sachrist- AHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Sachrist stabs him in the back. Blood starts dropping down from the wound and the knife stays there. The young boy takes a few hesitant steps back when he sees Gerald approaching him with a death glare.
Gerald- HOW DARE YOU STAB ME IN THE BACK JUST LIKE HE DID?! YOU DUG YOUR OWN GRAVE, SACHRIST!
Gerald disregards the pain and the fact that the knife is still in his back, and delivers an insanely powerful punch on Sachrist's face.
Witnessing the event from her bed, Hisami's entire body trembles uncontrollably. She murmurs some things that make no sense and then shouts her brother's name.
Hisami- wrsfas . . . . lsdawe. .EsDba. . . . .wLDed. ... .. A ... .. . SA- SACHRIST!
After throwing his obstacle on the floor, Gerald tosses the knife away and starts beating Sachrist again and again.
Each punch is stronger than the last. The impact of these punches is really strong. So much so, that they resound throughout the room. Sachrist has a resilent personality and body, but this is just too much. It's all too inhumane...
If I had to describe Hell to someone, I'd use this messed up scene as an example.
Sachrist faintly sees the dropped knife, but it's far away. Another punch hits him in the face and he loses sight of it again. All hope disappears. It's impossible for somebody to be nearby and hear what's happening. Noone could come at their resque. This house is really isolated. Not a single living being could ever lend them a hand...
Wait... That's not true. There's still a living being left in this house!
Yes! There he is!
"Woof Woof! Grrrr!"
Alexander shows up at the perfect moment and bites Gerald's right leg and doesn't leg go.
Gerald- You stupid, fat pig! GET OFF OF ME!
Sachrist snatches this opportunity, crawls towards the knife and holds it firmly in his hand.
After seeing what Sachrist just did, Gerald gives it his all. He kicks Alexander away from him and tries to punch Sachrist one last time.
Gerald- AHHHHH!
Sachrist- Go to hell, GERALD!!!
Sachrist finds the strength to jump forwards with his knife in attacking position. The knife's edge slits this monster's neck and causes blood to gush out of it.
Gerald tries to breath but he is unable to do so. This heavy bleeding makes him choke on his own blood. It doesn't take long for him to drop down dead.
Sachrist wipes his blood off his face and then hugs his speechless sister.
Sachrist- It's all over, Hisami. I'm here. Your older brother is here!
This desperate attempt to calm her down however proves to be futile. Hisami is just trembling. That's all she can do at the moment. That's the only way she can respond. Apart from that, she is basically non-responsive. Sachrist hugs her tighter and shouts her name "Hisamiii!" while crying.
After a while, Hisami manages to say something
"Sa- Sa- Sa- chri-chri- st..."
Sachrist- Yeah! Sachrist is here! Everything is going to be okay, Hisami!
"O-O-O-ka-ka-y"
Hisami shows some signs of life, but the way she speaks is somewhat robot-like. Sachrist is happy to see that she is still talking, but he can't help but cry over Hisami's critical state.
"Woof... Woof..."
Even Alexander is hurt. This tragedy is over, but the damage it left behind is insurmountable. Alexander will be fine in a few hours, but when it comes to Hisami...
"No amount of therapy can cure this tortured soul."
------------------------------
It's now a few hours later, after this irreversible tragedy...
Sachrist managed to help Hisami and Alexander get out of the house, which he had no other choice but to needed to burn down. He had no other choice. He could never let anyone learn about this...
Since the house was primarily made of wood, a small fire outbreak could easily burn it all to ashes. With a lighter he found in the kitchen, Sachrist made that happen without hesitation.
They had to move on, one way or another. Sachrist saw this as another necessity to keep his sister, and himself, alive. He'd do anything to protect that life. Burning down a house was no obstacle for him.
The three of them, Sachrist, Hisami and Alexander continued aimlessly walking forwards. Although they didn't know where they were going, the road they took would eventually take them to Saintdom, the capital city where all dreams and wishes should be granted. Does that statement apply to even the unluckiest Lingerians of the World? Let's find out.
The first two days, things went horribly wrong. Sachrist and Hisami, together with Alexander, wandered around in Saintdom's main streets and tried everything they could think of to find a better life.
They asked random householders to let them spend the night. "Dogs are not allowed!" they said as an excuse and threw them to the streets again.
They begged for food, at least for Alexander, yet nobody was willing to offer anything.
They even went to families who wanted to adopt two children, but even that proved fruitless. Either the name Blackeye or their traumatised personalities made all couples reject them.
One day however, the stars smiled upon them and they were going to be blessed with a miracle.
Alexander was feeling so hungry and sleepy that Sachrist and Hisami decided to spend the night on a bench out in the open. Alexander fell to sleep and the siblings were both looking at the starry night above. Out in the cold, Sachrist and Hisami were trying to sleep just like Alexander...
But then a mysterious figure appeared. Wearing a white robe, this man approached the two of them and offered a helping hand. More than that actually. Knowing that they were starving, they first gave them both a sandwich to ease their dying stomaches. They even secretly left some dog food for Alexander, while they were gobbling up the sandwiches.
But this wasn't their only gift. The most important thing they wanted to give them was something... unreal.
Due to his absolute pity for the two of them, this man, Zein, trusted Sachrist with his Angelic Veil of Omniscience.
Yes, the Omniscient Archangel himself, who was on his last legs, abandoned his post as the Archangel and gave that title to Sachrist.
Knowing what these two had been through, Zein told him the following upon giving him the Angelic Veil.
"Remember this, Sachrist! Save your sister and bring balance to this World! You'll make a wonderful Leader, I'm sure of it. Farewell!"
And just like that, Sachrist passed out for a while and woke up as the Omniscient Archangel. Upon first using this unbelievable newfound power, Sachrist saw the future. A chill ran down his spine and tears started flowing down his cheeks.
"Hisami..."
Sachrist touched his unresponsive sister's shoudlers and said
"I'm going to save you... At all costs..."
Hisami spontaneously hugged his brother but had no response afterwards. Sachrist on the other hand, after learning what happens next, cried and cried for all he could.
What he learned was this unbelievable fact.
"Hisami is going to kill herself tomorrow."
Sachrist tried everything in his hand to prevent it from happening. After getting a proper house as the Omniscient Archangel, Sachrist moved in with Hisami and Alexander.
Sachrist made Hisami feel better with any means possible. They ate delicious food, they played with Alexander, they even saw the stars with a telescope, Hisami's favorite hobby. Sachrist even discarded the rope she was going to to tie herself with. And then he used his power of Omniscience again.
Sachrist actually did it. He managed to change the future and prevent Hisami's death. Nevertheless, he wasn't happy at all. He was in fact more scared than ever.
"Hisami was going to kill herself the following day"
Sachrist couldn't believe it. Even after all the effort he put in, he still managed to prolonge Hisami's life by a mere day...
Even if it was such a meaningless increase, however, Sachrist was still okay with it. He loved his sister more than anything in the World. He couldn't think of a life where they wouldn't be together.
Sachrist had decided. No matter how many times it would take him, he would prevent Hisami's future death at all costs.
And so it began. Day three, Hisami was going to kill herself with a knife. Sachrist threw all knives in the trash. Day fourth, Hisami was going to jump off the balcony to end her suffering. Sachrist caught her.
And so on, and so forth...
The days became weeks. And the weeks, months. Sachrist was in denial. He'd never accept such a gruesome thing as his sister's death.
He gave it his all, every day. He saved Hisami countless times, yet the same story would unfold. She was going to Die. Die. Die. Die. and Die...
At some point, more than one year later, Sachrist was starting to get emotionally destroyed. He was so tired of doing this everyday. His body and soul were tested until absolute exhaustion.
And one day, Sachrist made a fatal mistake. He let himself fall asleep at night without checking on Hisami. And just like that...
Hisami hung herself.................
Sachrist was severely depressed. For a whole month, he didn't leave his room. He underwent a deep internal journey while thinking about what to do next. All alone, he and his thoughts...
But 30 days later, Sachrist came back as a different man. He turned over a new leaf and decided to act more like an Angel and play his part as the Omniscient Archangel. He apologised to the other Angels for using his power only to save Hisami and apparently decided to live up to Zein's expectations. He joined the Angels and used his power for the greater good.
And the first thing he did after reuniting with the other Angels was to... declare war with the Demons.
The other Angels and especially Lingerians were confused and demanded an explanation. In response, Sachrist told everyone about what was actually going to happen after the imminent convergence of the 3 worlds. Total Catastrophe.
As the previous Archangel knew only about the events that were going to happen till the moment he lost his powers, he was unaware of this "World Extinction" that Sachrist explained he saw in the future.
And so, Sachrist proposed a plan to save the World. And that plan was the formation of the Barrier...
But that is not all.
Sachrist- Despite the severety of our situation, the Demons will try to stop us, thinking we are scheming something bad against them. They will launch an assult and prevent the formation of the Barrier...
Framing the Demons, who had never planned such a scheme, Sachrist pursuaded everyone that they needed to act first. Blindly following the power of Omniscience, they assulted the Underworld first, then they disabled the Pandonomicon by a silly incantation-cancelling contract and finally, they (probably) formed the Barrier...
The information regarding Sachrist stops there. From that point on, the Pandonomicon reads the entry Sachrist as "not valid".
A long, heavy silence fills the Decision Making Department........
