Not Alone Anymore

Chapter 17: Not Alone Anymore

That evening, Santos was joined by Miss. Ravana. The two led an investigation on the outskirts of town, in the wilderness of Point Pleasure. Through the darkness, Ravana guided him. She was the one marching in front and showing him around.

“Where are we going again, Miss. Ravana?” he demanded.

“I told you already. We are looking for your missing bag.”

“I know that. But what makes you think it’s out there? In those woods? It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me,” he argued.

“Trust me. What you lost is somewhere out there. If I’m right, I know very well the kind of people who raided my home today and made a mess in my classroom. And they are going to pay for this.”

“It sure is a messed up situation. I can’t believe there was a home invasion at your place and that they were searching your stuff. I really wonder who these people are and what they wanted from you. And I just can’t wrap my mind around why they would take my messenger bag with them. It’s a real mess…” he mentioned.

“Don’t worry. I know where these people are and this is exactly where we are going,” Ravana reassured him again. This time, Ravana wore the outfit she wore yesterday. The yellow one with the sexy, ultra-mini skirt and the two stairs in front of her breasts. She was in heels as well. In the middle of the woods. Not exactly the most practical thing Santos had seen ever, but he never said anything about it. He totally enjoyed seeing her walking with her heels. If she was already taller than him without the heels, she was towering over him with them, which, once again, didn’t bother the young man at all.

“Thanks. It’s really important to me to find my wallet back.”

“Why the wallet specifically? I mean, you can cancel your cards, anytime, you know? You had a lot of money in there?”

“No. I actually had next to nothing as far as money goes.”

“Then, why are you so worried about your wallet?”

“I simply am. Let’s talk about something different.”

“Ah! Exactly what I meant to show, young man!” she said.

“What? Is this the path that will lead us to the burglars?”

“No,” she simply replied to him as she led him into a specific path in the dark and frightening-looking woods.

“No? Then, where are we going? What do you want to show me so much?” Santos questioned her, not understanding where they were going.

“This is it! The place I more or less told you about earlier today. Remember when I mentioned that I fell from the sky once?”

“Yeah. I wasn’t sure if you were playing tricks on me and if you were saying that, so I would leave you alone. So, is this true? You fell from the sky? Like a fallen Angel or something like that?” the young man asked her, beginning to believe her more and more as time went on and as he learned to know her. And to him, it wasn’t that complicated to believe her, or to want to believe her rather considering all the dreams he had of her. Making him think she was someone special and unique. After all, she was the reason as to why he left his own home and came all this way here, to Point Pleasure.

“This is the place where it all took place. The site. The crashsite,” she told him as she brought him into a field in the middle of nowhere on the other side of the woods. There was a road not too far from here, but it was clear that this specific location wasn’t some place where people were supposed to go. This was a strange place.

“This is where you crashed, Miss. Ravana?” he asked her.

“Um, um,” she nodded. “There!” she pointed at a large hole in the ground at the centre of the field: Some kind of crater. “This is where I crashed. It hurt so bad. But I am alright. As you can see.”

“A crater? No. The crater? I dreamt about this, too,” he said.

“You did? Then, it must mean that you were telling me the truth all this time. You are were indeed here in Point Pleasure for a reason. I’m sorry. I should have believed you from the start,” she said.

“I guess… I don’t know anymore. It’s getting fuzzy in my head. I can’t think straight. Thanks for bringing me here. It confuses me, but I feel like it’s going to help me figure out my dreams in the long run. However… No offence, but where are you going to bring me to the burglars who robbed my bag…?” the young man asked her.

“Alright. This is becoming quite fishy. What are you so worried about concerning your wallet if you had no money in it?”

“It doesn’t concern you…” he obviously lied to her.

“Well, then, good thing that the burglars didn’t take your wallet,” she surprised him, shocked him even as she seductively pulled something out from between her majestic boob-crack. She pulled his wallet right out of her generous cleavage.

“My wallet? You have it? How did you…?” he freaked out.

“I do have it. After you left and forgot it, I sensed that there was something strange in the locker room. I felt a weird source of energy. So I followed it and found it. I took it with me. Looks like it was a good idea, considering what occurred afterwards… It is almost like I had a premonition regarding what was going to happen next.”

“Give it to me! Give it to me, please!” he told her.

“Not yet!” Instead, she opened the wallet and looked through everything in there. “Gray Gear,” the first thing she discovered was the first name and last name on his cards. “I guess that’s your real name, right, Santos?” She continued searching. She found nothing else of real interest, except something, a small object, which fell off one of the pockets of the wallet. The object accidentally fell down to the ground, and it rolled to her feet. It was a stone. A strange stone forced in the shape of an insect: A Moth.

And it was red.

“What is it?” Ravana questioned him.

“You were not supposed to find it like this,” he replied to her.
