Chapter 95: Gathering Knowledge

Khan's figure reappeared inside a dark alley in Poblacion, taking a deep breath, he walked out of the alleyway and greeted the light of sunset, taking a glance on a billboard where a huge clock was displayed, the time said that it was already quarter to six.

'Damn, it looks like I've been out for five hours already...' Khan revealed a wry smile, walking on the sidewalk, he fell into deep contemplation, 'Since I have a photographic memory, it would be a waste to not fully utilize it.' Glancing around, he found an internet cafe and decided to surf the internet there.

After paying the cashier beforehand, Khan sat down the computer and operated it according to the instructions he remembered within his mind, soon enough, he landed on a popular searched engine and typed. [Continent of Pride]

Innumerable search results returned, Khan clicked on the uppermost result, and the screen displayed the Wikipedia website filled with information pertaining to what he searched.

There, he found that the Continent of Lust has been fiercely denying any diplomatic entrance from other Continents such as the Continent of Pride, Greed, and Sloth, other than the Continent of Wrath, they refused any contacts from the outside world and as a result, their civilization remained in the ancient times.

Reading this, Khan frowned, 'Since the Continent of Greed is also a highly-modernized Continent like the Continent of Wrath, why don't they just land there discreetly? Seeing that the Continent of Lust is still in the ancient times, they could easily do that without being detected...'

Khan pressed the back button and searched for any relevant information about why, but unfortunately, the information that he wanted didn't show up, as if it was being deliberately blocked by the government under a tight seal.

'Well, no matter what, I can just learn about it when I got there.' Khan inwardly sighed and pressed the back button once again as he searched, [How to get to the Continent of Lust]

Clicking the uppermost result, the screen displayed several pieces of information that astonished Khan, one of them was because the Continent of Lust's civilization wasn't really that advanced, it meant that you cannot travel there by air, the only option was by boat and the journey alone will take at least a month. And you could only sail there by the Rhattan Wharf at the northern tip of the Continent of Greed.

'Rhattan? That town still existed?' Khan's eyes shone in an excited light as remembered the times where he toured around the world as a mortal. Back then, Khan had the hobby of disguising himself among the common populace, and the most favorite spot that he stayed into was the Wharf City Rhattan.

That's because the view there was absolutely divine and phenomenal, the women, firm and sexy and the food, fresh and delicious, paired with the cheap prices that it offers, Khan quickly fell in love with it.

But at the same time, he once again fell into deep contemplation, 'Although I can easily arrive there in just a single day by myself, I doubt that Lily will let me travel by my own...' Simulating in his mind, Khan predicted that it would at least take him half a month if he would travel with Lily.

'How about I just use Spatial Tunneling?' Khan pondered, 'Wait, that won't do, who knows where I would appear, especially when the memories I have about that place is outdated...' Sighing, Khan stood up, and walked back towards the direction of Muspelheim's Noble Realm.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

Arriving before the dual-entry door of the mansion, Khan could hear voices of quarrel along with laughter and the clashing of utensils inside. Khan extinguished his presence and approached with careful footsteps. There, he found, Twenty-One and Lily standing on the kitchen.

Twenty-One held a knife while Lily stood at the side, occasionally laughing at the sight of her clumsy sister. Khan's movements were as stealthy as an Assassin that they didn't even notice that he was behind them.

"Ermm... Sis, is it really okay for you that I'll cook for him?" Twenty-One hid her expression as she spoke in a barely audible tone, hearing this, Lily chuckled, "What are you saying, didn't we talk about that earlier? It's fine! But I doubt that you will impress him with that," Lily's eyes darted on the bowl of dried ingredients mixed with wet ingredients that looked like a clumpy smudge.

Twenty-One's cheeks puffed, she threw a wronged gaze towards Lily's direction as she said, "Stop teasing me, Sis..." She continued on her work, her cheeks still burned in a crimson sheen.

Khan who stood behind revealed an awkward expression, It's not like he didn't realize her feelings, but he was just afraid to act on it, especially when he was uncertain if Lily would approve of it.

"How about you just tell him about what you feel?" Lily interjected at the side, Twenty-One's figure trembled, before staring speechlessly at her and said, "Why would I do that, Sis? It's not like I don't know about how the two of you are married..." She pondered for a moment before continuing, "And also, It's strange for a man to have several wives..."

"Strange?" Lily's expression became confused, particularly when he remembered the fact that his father had numerous concubines, yet why was having several wives, strange for her?

"Mhmm?" Twenty-One stopped her work and turned her body towards her, but as she turned, she noticed the familiar silhouette of Khan that stood behind them and exclaimed, "Ah!" Her sudden movement struck the bowl of ingredients and they fell down, scattering on the ground.

"Khan! What are you doing sneaking up behind us when we're cooking... Look at what you did!" Lily scolded her arms akimbo. The mentioned youth just stood there, scratching his head, 'Just how did it become my fault?' His gaze momentarily landed on Twenty-One and when the latter noticed it, she quickly hid her expression away.

"Just when did you arrive? and also, where did you go? you went missing for the past six hours..." Lily interjected at the side, she stared at the scattered ingredients on the ground and whispered, "Look at what you did, she even prepared it for you."

Khan didn't have any rebuttal as he walked away and took a mop with him from the bathroom, cleaning the smudge, he picked the bowl that stood upright on the ground and dabbed his finger on the ingredients and licked it.

"No-" Twenty-One noticed this but just as she exclaimed, Khan had already tasted the smudge and said, "Actually tastes quite good," He then turned towards the former, "I'm sorry that I startled you..."

"No, it's fine, it's my fault for being frantic anyways."

The two stared at each other for a while, before the latter surrendered, Lily just observed them at the side with puffed cheeks as she thought, 'Why not they just go together...' She stared at Khan and inwardly thought, 'Why is he so hesitant in taking another wife? It's not like I would be bothered about it, and I also like to have a sister with me...'

Khan noticed her stare, and to get out of this situation, he pushed them towards the living room while saying that he would handle the meals, because of this, Lily and Twenty-One's somber expression changed, they excitedly walked towards the living room and talked towards each other.

Meanwhile, Khan once again displayed his prowess in the kitchen, and in just under an hour, a full course meal for three people emerged from the kitchen, placing the dishes on the table, their alluring scent wafted, sending the two into full-drive as their forks, blurred, flying towards the viands.

Khan stared at the joyful duo, feeling the warm sensation that rose within his heart as he stared at the two, Khan sighed as he thought about the time where he spent every day of his life, killing. As an orphan, Khan didn't have a family to tend to him, and because of this, he was forced to steal money from nobles to at least have a meal to eat for that day.

But now, he was well-off and had someone that cared for him.

He couldn't be more grateful than this.
