The excruciating light that came from the sun reached its peak and descended towards the two figures who cuddled together inside a room, a weird stench wafted in the air and their faces painted with exhaustion.
A knock echoed on the door, the two figures groggily stood up, their eyes opened as the knock gradually increased in strength.
Khan scanned the room and found the scattered clothes on the ground, he shook Lily's shoulders and signaled, in a blink of an eye, the room became as pristine as polished jade, Lily even used her Qi to create a breeze that dissipated the stench in the air.
Opening the room, they found a frowning Sect Master, "Why do you guys take too long, just to open a door?" He saw the fidgety Lily that didn't dare to look at him and found an inkling about what happened.
He sighed, didn't bother to reprimand the two and beckoned them to follow him, the group walked down the stairs and arrived in a dining hall, several dishes lined up, ready for the picking.
Khan took interest towards the changes in the local cuisine in the past years, Lily and him went forwards, taking any dishes without reserve, seeing the amount that the Sect Master took, Khan teasingly said, "Sect Master, you wouldn't last that long with that amount of nutrients that you're getting!'
"Yeah, yeah, you guys should take more nutrients than me since the two of you are working hard every day." The Sect Master thought, 'Teasing me? You're too green, kid!'
He flicked his sleeve and left towards a table, leaving the two standing there with a blush on their faces.
Taking their meals with them, they sat with the Sect Master and ate, Khan particularly liked the dish called Brunswick Stew, it had a tomato base paired with local beans and a huge amount of meat, while Lily ate a simple sandwich and meat broth.
"Look at this, Lily, this tastes so good..." Khan smiled, he scooped a small amount of meat from his stew and raised it towards Lily.
The latter glanced around the area for a while and blushed before opening her mouth and chomping, the Sect Master at the side inwardly cursed, 'You're actually doing this in front of a hundred years old, virgin, you bastards!'
Suppressing his envious emotions, the Sect Master wolfed his food and left a message before going back to his room, "We'll be setting off at noon, I'll just meet you here..."
Khan waved his hands in goodbye, "Finally got some free time to explore..." He gave a small smile and pushed Lily to hurry with her meal saying that they would explore the area.
Several minutes later, two hooded figures walked out of the inn, the other figure nudged and asked, "Why do I have to wear this? It's too hot wearing this..." A feminine voice complained.
"Just endure it, I gotta hide you since you attract too much attention..." The figure beside her replied as they sped off towards the south entrance.
They arrived and went outside without any obstructions, for as long as your bloodline was confirmed that it didn't come from one of the Demon Race, you're free to enter and leave the city.
As they left, three intangible figures could be seen shadowing their movements, after running for about five minutes, the two arrived inside the so-called Forest of Bahr.
"What's going on? I thought we're going to explore the city?" A voice filled with confusion rang, Khan took his hood, petted her head and glanced around the area.
"Of course we're gonna explore the city, but first, we need to get rid of these guys."
"Right? You guys seemed to be following us ever since we arrived here, can you just show your faces and stop being so long-winded?"
Khan's voice rang, in response, three intangible figures materialized in the air, the sight of them made the confused Lily tremble in fear.
Their bodies stout and filled with muscles that bulged to the point that it looked like it would destroy their clothes, their faces filled with a brownish beard and their teeth shone in a lethal light, the tip of their hands adorned with sharp claws that could tear through everything.
A brutal atmosphere encircled the Forest of Bahr as the three stared at each other in a standstill.
"Princess... Is this the proper way of greeting us? We literally searched the entire continent just for you and this is how you're gonna repay us?" A hoarse voice filled with malicious intent echoed, the man who spoke looked to be the leader of the three for the aura that encircled him seemed to be stronger.
"I never asked you guys to search for me!" Lily retorted, hint of intense anger could be seen on her face, Khan frowned, he glanced at the three and said, "I don't think that the reason you followed us was to ask about this, right?"
"Of course not, the reason is actually quite simple..."
"We're gonna take her."
The three gave a savage smile, their claws protruded and their bodies exploded with a Qi that could shake the heavens, sending the calm Forest into a commotion.
"You won't be taking her, not under my watch!" Khan bent his knees, his arms raised in front of him in a peculiar stance, although it looked quite weird to the spectators, if someone stood in front of him that knew of his legend a hundred thousand years ago, they would scream in despair, for this was the first stance of Khan's slaughter path.
The Marionette's Dance.
The leader of the group frowned, he scanned the young man whom he disregarded earlier. But upon realizing the state of his body, he gave a smile of disdain and said, "Kid, you don't even have an ounce of Qi within your body, yet you're this arrogant? See how I'll turn you into mincemeat..." The leader glanced at his comrade and the latter nodded in turn.
The leader's comrade flew towards Khan his right fist stretched upwards.
Khan wore a cold smile on his face when he saw the leaping figure, Khan merely stepped aside and flicked his wrist, his fingers blurred and tapped on a crucial acupoint.
"Guaaah!" The comrade of the leader spat a mouthful of blood, his right arm dislocated from the root.
The leader's eyes widened in shock, he replayed the scene of Khan's attack and found that he was unable to discern the technique that he used.

"Kid, do you really want to meddle in our clan's business?" His tone, grim.
"Meddle in your business? Of course, I am..." Khan gave a cold smile, "If you're not going to attack, then I'll go first!" Khan's body blurred, in an instant, he arrived beside the leader and slapped with a palm.
The leader grunted, manifesting a Qi on his arm he defended from Khan's attack but found that a golden aura stuck on his arm accompanied by a numbing feeling.
'Damn, is this Qi?' He thought and tried to dispel the golden aura, but to his dismay, the golden aura raged almost enveloping his entire arm.
"Kid, what is this?!" The leader spat a mouthful of blood, his eyes widened in shock, the latter replied, "Asura Slaughter Path, First Stance; Marionette's Dance."
He willed and the golden aura covered the leader's body entirely, although Khan didn't have a hint of Qi within his body because he specialized in soul techniques, his skills in manipulating the energy that comes from the soul was topnotch.
'H-h-how...' Even at the time of his death, he still didn't believe that he died in a single move.
The remaining member of the Lion Race stood in shock, he gritted his teeth and utilized his entire cultivation base in a great retreat, but how could he escape under Khan's eyes?
In a flash, his body lifelessly fell from the sky. Khan only pointed and sent a needle made with his Peak Divine Ascendance Realm soul and struck a lethal acupoint on his neck, ending his life in an instant.
But Khan wasn't finished, he moved towards the leader's lifeless body and placed his finger on the leader's forehead, he willed as a golden light shot burrowing inside the leader's sea of memories.
Inside a white space, several thousands of bubble-like memory fragments floated, Khan disregarded everything irrelevant and shot towards a strangely glistening fragment.
There he found that the person who ordered the search was the current patriarch of the Lion Race Haem Patrigio.
Khan dug even deeper and found that the leader had sent a jadeslip transmission towards the sect headquarters and that he had received a response saying that reinforcements would come in a few days.
These events happened, yesterday, if so, they only have at most two days to escape before they're encircled by the Lion Race's reinforcement.
Khan clenched his fists, although he wasn't a coward, fighting an enemy without a certain chance of winning wasn't his style, he wanted to make sure that he could annihilate his enemy without any repercussions, if so, arriving at the Divine Dragon Sect should be the first priority.
Khan burned the bodies before grabbing the shocked Lily by the waist and hurrying back to Valencia.
A scene that they didn't expect happened, when they arrived in the inn, several sturdy figures that clearly belonged to the Lion Race encircled an old man who clutched a rusted sword on his hand.
Amongst them, a particularly young visage adorned with clothes that belonged to nobility could be seen, he wore an amused smile on his face as he watched his men, torment the old man.
The spectators, although they felt concerned, they didn't dare to help the old man, for the men that surrounded him came from one of the strongest race, the Lion Race.
"Hey, hey... Old geezer, can you just tell me where did she go? I'm getting bored in here..." A hoarse voice filled with disdain echoed, the ears of the figure twitched as he felt the arrival of Khan.
He turned around, and there, he saw Khan carrying Lily by her waist. His face distorted into anger.
"Beloved fiancee, can you tell me about what's the meaning of this...?" The great anger that he felt, evident in his tone.
Khan wore a cold smile, he condensed a faint golden light on his feet as he stared at the young man with an icy look.
"Beloved fiancee? You actually dared to call my wife, as your fiancee?" Khan mocked, "I'm sorry to inform you, but everything of her is mine, so you do not have the right to call her as your fiancee..."
A savage and bloodthirsty aura exploded within the young man's body, his Qi raged in the air, sending those with lower cultivation tumbling backward as they coughed several mouthfuls of blood.
His men stopped bothering the Sect Master as they all turned their heads towards Khan, a fierce light of murder shining in their eyes.
Placing Lily on the ground, she said in a tone full of anger.
"That's right! You don't have the right to call me as your fiancee, for I am Khan's wife!" She declared a light of determination suffused in her eyes.
"Why...Why... Why would you replace me with a cripple?!" The young man roared in indignation, "Ever since we met, you knew that I already admired you, I loved, you. I loved everything that you had, yet, you're gonna replace me with a useless bastard?!" Within his eyes, flashed a desperate light mixed with avarice and desire.
"Hmmph! Now I know the reason why she didn't even respond to your feelings..." Khan snorted, as he spoke in a tone filled with ridicule.
The young man raised his head and stared at Khan, however, Khan's next words made the anger that he barely suppressed thoroughly explode.
"It's because you're fucking disgusting!"
"YOU BASTARD!!!" The young man screamed, the brutal aura that surrounded him froze the air, his might of the peak Divine Soul Realm, unleashed, he sent a fist flying towards Khan.
Lily took a stance, a green aura enveloped Khan and her body. Khan glanced at her with a thankful look in his eyes, one of the reasons why the Nature Dragon Race was considered to be one of the most powerful Race was because of their immense support capability.
They could bestow a comrade with increased healing capabilities and immense movement speed which could turn the tide of the battle in their favor.
Because of the buff, Khan felt even more confident as he faced the young man's blow.
A rumbling sound echoed, in each time their fists collided, shockwaves would scatter from the area sending everything into a turmoil.
Lily constantly supported him at the side, thanks to that, every injury that he sustained would be immediately healed, increasing his battle endurance.
"I can't let you forget about me!" A dignified voice echoed followed by a pillar of golden light roaring towards the skies, the immense pressure from a peak Divine Ascendance Realm powerhouse.
The Sect Master interrupted the young man's men as they engaged in a fierce battle of their own. Lily also sent a stream of green Qi towards the Sect Master as she gave her a movement speed boost.
"Thanks, little miss!" The Sect Master smiled, his attacks becoming even more powerful as time passed by.
However, back at Khan's side, Khan could be seen breathing in ragged pants. Even though he had no external injuries, using his soul energy to battle an enemy was extremely exhausting towards his injured soul.
'Damn it... It seems like I can only last for about five more exchange.' He glanced at the Mini Rune Decipherer on his hand and decided in his mind.
"What's wrong? What happened with that boastful attitude? I thought that you're going to prove yourself as a person worthy of the Divine Dragon Race's princess?!"
"Exercising a small might in front of an expert, you're overestimating yourself!" The young man mocked with a smile filled with derision on his face.
"Shut up..." Khan coldly spoke, without any notice, a Rune appeared on his palm of which he sent towards the young man.
The young man stared at the Rune with a confused look on his face, 'What is this...' He even tapped on the intangible Rune with his hand, prompting Khan to smile, "Goodbye, idiot!"
"Shit!" The young man realized it too late, for a spatial tear had already materialized before him, even with his fierce struggle, the spatial tear didn't budge and swallowed his entire body into the void.
Khan revealed a victorious smile, the Rune he utilized, the Escape Rune derived from the Escape Talisman was a Rune solely for escaping purposes, but you could also attach it to your enemy to send them somewhere inside the Continent.
"Y-y-you..." The men who accompanied the young man stared in shock, the Sect Master took a hold of this opportunity to slice their heads, sending them to hell.
Streaks of tears flowed down Lily's cheeks as she saw Khan emerging as the victor, She embraced his figure and the latter fell on her arms.
"See? You're husband's quite strong... I won't go down, with just this..." Khan spat a mouthful of blood as the injuries within his soul worsened due to his overexertion, although his soul was at the peak of the Divine Ascendance Realm, it was still quite a feat for the current him, to fight a peak Divine Soul Practitioner.
His eyes slowly closed as his consciousness left his body. On his face, remained a victorious and satisfied smile.
