Right now, Theo and his grandfather stood in front of a brick wall, the entrance to Diagon Alley. Theo was wearing his favorite black turtleneck shirt and white pants. His grandfather, on the other hand, was wearing dark red robes, and in his hand a slightly curved wand.
He gently taped a specific brick of the wall, wich Theo knew was from the rubbish bin three up and two across.
The brick wall slowly opened up a path to enter.
Naturally, as a young boy in a magical household, it was not the first time he was in Diagon Alley, so he did not have the same enthusiasm that Harry had, but he always loved to see the area bustling with all kinds of people. It made him feel alive.
"Let's go, Theo."
"Where first?"
"We don't need to go to Gringotts, I have enough money with me."
"Then, the uniform first?"
"Why not? Let's go, I believe I still remember where Madam Malkin's shop is."
Theo's grandfather grabbed his hand and guided him amidst the crowd that filled the streets. Never letting of his grandfather's hands, Theo obediently followed after him.
Arriving at Madam Malkin's, a young woman was leaving the shop already wearing her new robes. Seeing Theo and his grandfather at her doorstep Madam Malkin asked.
"Can I help you?"
"Oh! Yes, my grandson needs his uniform for his school year in Hogwarts." His grandfather said.
"Uniform?! Isn't the start of the school year tomorow, why did you come just now?"
"There were some complications with his acceptance into the school."
"Complications?"
"Professor Dumbledore asked to keep the matter secret."
"*Sigh* Alright, come here young boy, what's your name?"
"Theo, Theo Ellfire."
"Theo, huh? Well, I will take your measures now, your uniform should be ready at the end of the day."
"Thank you."
Madam Malkin the procceeded to measure his body with magic. His grandfather then payed for the uniform.
After taking care of the uniform, they went to buy the rest of the materials needed. No one really thought that it was weird that someone was buying the materials for the first year's curriculum, after all, there was nothing that said that only Hogwarts students could buy those items.
Because the Ellfire household already had a owl, they didn't buy one, instead they bought a cat with complete black fur and different eye colors, one blue and the other green. They named him Inkwell.

Finally, the last stop was reached. Ollivander's.
Naturally, for a young wizard, a wand is a must while learning magic, it is not everyone who can perform wandless magic after all.
However, doubts circled around Theo's mind, after all, he was not human, and he never performed magic with a wand, it was always wandless.
Those doubts however where rapidly dispersed by his grandfather, who decided to let him try doing magic with his wand. Fortunaly, it was a success and Theo could really perform magic with a wand.
Therefore, they went to buy a wand of his own, and what better place to do it than Ollivander's?
"Welcome! Oh! Mr. Ellfire! Long time no see, how long has it been?"
"24 years, last time I came was because of my daughter."
The atmosphere became gloomy. Theo understood, naturally. His grandfather had two children. Michael Ellfire, Theo's father, and Catherine Ellfire. Catherine however was killed by death eaters during the last war. Theo only found out about her because of the photos around the house.
"How is your son?"
"He died, eleven years ago, around the time his son, Theo was born."
While saying this, Theo's Grandfather gestured to the child.
"So you are Michael's son, your father was a great wizard, probably not the best morally wise, but a great wizard nonetheless. I suppose your here for a wand?"
"Yes, sir."
"Great! I believe I have a good fit! Coincidentelly, it was made this morning!"
"Why do you say it is a good fit, Mr. Ollivander? You didn't take any measurements or ask what his dominant hand is."
"Good question, Mr. Ellfire! You see, when I made this wand this morning, I got this unordinary feeling that his owner was close."
"What?"
"That's right, as soon as the process of wand fabrication ended, this wand chose it's master without even meeting him."
"That's possible?"
"I too thought it wasn't, but then I faced a situation like this."
"But why, Theo, why do you think the master of the wand is my grandson?"
Instead of answering, Ollivander picked up a box and opened it, taking the wand out of it.
The wand was not very long and was completely white in color.
"8 inches and a half, the core, Thestral hair and is very flexible. As for the wood, I'm not sure."
Theo's Grandfather was flabbergasted, the length of the wand was the same as his late wife's. The wand of his daughter was also very flexible, and their shape was weirdly similar. The core was the same as his son, Theo's father.
"That's why?"
"Indeed, these wand characteristics are so similar to the late members of your family, I thought it might belong to someone related."
"What about the wood?"
"I suppose it also belongs to someone related to him, his mother perhaps?"
"Perhaps."
"Well~ try it out, young boy."
"Ok"
Theo, timidly, picked up the wand and closely examined it. It gave him a warm feeling, like a kind grandmother, a caring aunt and a mischievous father. But most important, a loving mother, a kind of love so big that he could not understand it, he felt ... overwhelmed.
Unbeknownst to Theo, the surrounding air distorted and began to produce light, like a celebration.
The wand was happy because it encountered Theo.
And Theo felt at home and happy when he encountered the wand.
A bond was created, much deeper than family, much deeper than friendship.
"What an eccentric wand." Ollivander muttered.
The light receded, and Theo came back to his senses, staring deeply at the wand.
"I suppose, you are as satisfied with the wand, as the wand is with you."
"Yes. I'm very satisfied with her."
"Her?"
Theo himself felt surprised at his own words, after all, a wand was an object, not a person, let alone a girl.
Theo went back to stare at the wand.
'Are you really a girl? There is just no way.'
The wand seemed to buzz in response.
'Would you look at that, she can communicate with me?' Theo thought, his eyes wide as he smiled at his new companion.
"It seems you are going to be quite the outstanding wizard, young Theo. I hope to hear about your feats in the near future."
"Certainly."
With this, the shopping spree ended with the purchase of the wand, that was quite uncommon. Carrying everything with magic, including his robes and cat, Theo and his grandfather left Diagon Alley.
The next day, Theo would go to Hogwarts and finally meet wizards his age.
