Synopsis
Love learned, love lost, and a love to unravel every truth she thought she knew.
Anna Weston was never looking for love. New York City was supposed to be the backdrop of her wildest dream-to live freely, fully, and dance her way across stages into the hearts of those who watched, leaving small town Iowa behind in all of its dirt road and corn field dust. Finding love was never her plan, until one freak encounter at a subway station would change her self-centered existence forever.
A man in a uniform with a heartbreakingly handsome smile, a heart of gold and a hometown hero backstory derails everything she thought she knew about herself, and what she wants. But the golden, perfect life offered to her in the palm of his hand is extinguished before it ever gets a chance to start by a crime she saw coming, and he never could have predicted.
Anna's singular existence comes crashing back down on her after the shattering of the greatest love she'd ever known-a love she never wanted, a love she should have turned away. She tries to piece herself back together after the dust settles, navigating her past in order to put together some semblance of a future. A chance encounter with an Englishman after a failed therapy session serves as the catalyst for her to finish her epilogue, and start the painful process of starting fresh with her first new, unchartered chapter.
